I am Education Manager at a museum here in Chicago. I was sooooo excited that the school group I had scheduled for this morning cancelled due to snow! I'm on my lunch break right now looking out my office window at the tops of buildings and all the beautiful swirling snow. But come 4:30, I am going to be a disgruntled, angry mess when I have to trudge to my car. I really, really, really am done with this terrible winter!

Sounds like a cool job! Which museum? I'm a teacher down here in Springfield, so we are home for a snow day today. Not sure about tomorrow due to the wind chill temps. I too am done with this weather! Where's Spring?

Right now we are planning to stay at Pop Century. If a discount comes out, I would like to upgrade to a moderate. I don't have my hopes up for any discounts in July though. We usually go in August (when some discounts are available), but school calendar has been pushed up this year so we have to take our vacation in July.

Our restaurant for the Fantastic Dining package is at Hollywood & Vine. We have been here before and 15 year old son loves buffets

Can't wait to check out all the tips, links, etc.

our dates are july 20 - 23 we always get perfer pool view at the POP! we adrs for brk fst and dinner every day
day 1 brkfst Akershus dinner cali grill
day 2 chef mickeys. narcoossees
day 3. crystal palace. cinderella table
last day tusker house. lunch wispering canyon we love the dinning xp lol
previous two trips were 7 days decided to trim it down and go hit the beach for four days before going back to hoosier state

we were snowed in yet again yesterday which worked out wonderful! DH ended up coming home at 11 pm the night before from work so he was up and moving with us yesterday and we got most of our plans made! I think we decided on a resort - looking to try CBR this time.
We were going to stay at a value again but I'm concerned about the tour groups in mid July - hoping CBR isn't too bad...
My DD is off school yet again today (13th day this year if I recall right!)but I had to come back to work so she got stuck going to daycare and having to get up earlier then she would if it was a school day to leave with me and DS.

I'm so excited because we booked the Pirates and Pals cruise for the night we arrive on the 13th. DS is going to be so excited to meet Hook and Smee!
Monday - MK, with HBS for DS and Papa to get haircuts together and tomorrowland desert party (another new experience!)
Tuesday - HS, breakfast at Hollywood & Vine
Wednesday - Epcot - table service lunch TBD; Coral Reef dinner (another first!)
Thursday - AK, Tusker breakfast
Friday - MK, Pirate's League
Saturday - BBB (pre-opening time!!) and BOG!!!

Jun 29th- arrive in Orlando- stay the night at Marriott and spend the day at Wizarding World! (First time!)
June 30th (the big 21!) 8:15 am Crystal Palace
7:00 Be Our Guest (I'm gonna order a glass of wine like a big kid woo!)
July 1st- Drink Around the World/Multiple Epcot Bars
5:55 PM Garden Grill
July 2nd- 6:30 pm Sci Fi Drive In
July 3rd- Chef Mickey's 6:50 pm
July 4th- 11:00 am Beaches and Cream
Saana- 5:40 pm
July 5th (tentative) Be Our Guest at 8:55 pm. May change.
July 6th- we leave and it's awful.

I'm happy to say we are visiting again, July 19-26, and can't wait to see if they come out with any promos. We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge and (this time) going for Deluxe Dining. We've only done the Disney Dining in the past. So far, a few special reservations booked:

The luau at the Polynesian
Be Our Guest
Cinderella's Castle
Le Cellier in Epcot

Hmmmmm. . . . what else. I can't remember right now. Anyone have any recommendations?

to our group! No one that loves Disney is ever considered an intruder. We are all Disers and welcomed with open arms. So, if you tell me your details, I will add your stay to the front page (original post) and you can see if you are staying at the same location/times as others for possible dismeets on your trip! If you have any ADR's I will add them to that post too and we have a touring plan post as well so you can see if others are at the same park as you will be too. Let me know and I will get that added ASAP!!!

to our lovely group, always nice to have new people joining us. The more the merrier! Sounds like you have some great ADR's already. I will add your dates and location to the front page. When you have your dates and times for your adr's done, let me know and I will add that to our dining post. If you do a specific touring plan, let us know and I will add what park you will be at on those days to our touring plan post as well.

We are also going July 19th-26th! (but have not booked yet...) I am waiting to see if discounts are coming... If you go to

you can see the historical discounts - when they have come out for the past few years... if seems that the summer discounts are usually announced at the end of March/beginning of April.
