-20 and we still have school.:mic:

Ouch!!!! We're in the midst of a snow/sleet/ice/freezing rain event, so most of the local schools have cancelled, including mine, my husband's and the ones my kids attend.

And they say Sunday night into Monday has the potential for a LOT of snow!!! Too early to tell, but it could be interesting.

I ran to the supermarket last night (not a panic shop; my daughter has a bad sore throat and I wanted to pick up some sore-throat friendly food.) It was pretty mobbed for a Tuesday evening. I want to remember to call my 83 year old mom tomorrow and make sure her pantry is stocked. If we get a few feet of snow, she'll be housebound for a while. And, while she won't starve, I want to make sure she can make herself a cup of coffee and grab a cookie if she wants to.

Maybe I'll hit the supermarket EARLY Saturday morning and drive to mom's with a Care package.

That care package sounds like a great idea. I can't believe how much snow we've gotten this year. :(
I'm so sick of it!!!!
I don't mind the snow days though. ;) I hope for one on Mon. Too

Yeah, the more I think about it, the better an idea it is. I'll hit the supermarket, and get all sorts of comfort food-- soups and cookies and chips-- and pick up some for my own family of course. I'll get a bottle of wine (mom is in a garden apartment, so the can visit with the lady upstairs and the one next door without going out) and stop by on Saturday.

Is there anybody who stays offsite concerned about FP+??
We are AP holders and I'm so mad they have opened up FP+ for us yet!!
I'm concerned about our trips. I've heard about standing in lines at kiosks and getting crappy return times. I'm hoping by July it'll be all ironed out but we're leaving for the World in 2 weeks.

Anybody else worried?????

No school here in Ohio either. DS is very happy. Today is his 17th b-day and he doesn't have to go to school.

We are dreaming of July in Disney!!

No school here either. (Maine). It isn't supposed to start snowing heavily until noon or so though. My husband is out trying to finish up at work before then. We have already had too many snow days this year. School year is going to go on for most of June. :(

No school today for us here in MD. Lots of ice this morning. Now we have to make up a day at the end of the school year. So glad I moved our June trip.

I think this is the 4th day I need to make up. Only 2 for my DSs
We'll be in school til end of June AGAIN this year. We'll leave for FL the weekend right after. :)

We still have one snow day left, if we use more than that they take them from April break. We are already going until June 30th

I'm in NE Ohio and while my husband and daughters are off (same district) my district is still open!

That's what we get with out Superidiot (superintendent) is from Alaska.

all of you with snow days today FRIENDS OFF..... until I am over my feezing pity party!

Be safe and stay warm folks. We will be in Disney soon.....

I live in the South (we aren't used to snow/ice here) and we have already used up all of our built in snow days. Received word yesterday that Presidents Day is now a required makeup day. If we have any more snow days, I am not sure if they will take spring break or make it up at the end of the year.
