I'm in Canada too. Arriving Jan. 22 and we got our ME vouchers today. Surprised because last year it and our package info arrived together. Wondering if we'll get any further mailings?

It was perfect timing too cause we took the kids to see Frozen this afternoon.

I know this has been asked and answered before, but here goes again. How far in advance should I call in with my requests? I assume I should do this before doing online check-in. We will be arriving January 26 and staying at the Fort Wilderness cabins. I wanted to request a particular cabin loop and MDE has me eligible for online check in now. Should I phone and make my requests now? I thought I read the assignments are normally only made about 3 days prior to arrival. Thanks for any information...

Hello January 2014 group!! I'm so excited to be back on the Disboards since I haven't been on here since before my college program in 2012! My parents, boyfriend and I are coming to WDW January 5-11 and I can't wait! I saw the DisneyQuest and Mini golf passes on the invoice and thought they were a mistake, but they come with the package? I can't wait to be back down at Walt Disney World! Just wanted to drop by and say hey to all my fellow January 2014 visitors!

Starting January 21, 2014, service on the Magic Kingdom Resort and Express monorails will be unavailable on weekdays between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. to allow for planned maintenance. This schedule will run through the end of March 2014. During this time, watercraft and additional buses will be available. The Epcot monorail beam will operate normally.

This is going to effect our January trip since we are staying at BLT January 20-25. We had this happen to us back I March 2012 and it was a hassle. So much for staying at a monorail resort.

Good luck with the half! I am doing the 10k and my sister is doing the half. A small stress fracture has put a damper on my training. Where are you staying?

I'm doing the half and my husband is doing the full. Sorry to hear about the stress fracture, that happened to me when I was training for the 2005 Disney half. Good luck!!! The crowds and support along the course is amazing and will be more than enough to push you to the finish. Btw...we are staying at POR.

Thank you for the support! This will be our first time heading down to run but from everything I have read I am sure it's going to be great. We are also at POR. TA said documents are being mailed today so getting very excited!

Wait, wait, wait... what!?! Does this mean that you'll have to take a boat from MK over to TTC to catch the Epcot Monorail? That throws a real wrench in our plans!!!!

We like to watch Wishes at MK and then jump the monorail to go to Epcot to watch Illuminations. If we have to take a slow boat to TTC the timing will be much more difficult. DARN!!!

The MK and Express Monorail will be down from 11:30am-7pm. It put a wrench on our plans for January 23rd coming from Epcot to MK around 3pm. We are thinking of walking to the Beach Club and taking their bus to MK instead of the monorail to TTC. Maybe you can take the bus from MK to the Beach Club and then walk to Epcot?

Luggage tags arrived in the mail yesterday... what does everyone think about the two free passes to DisneyQuest that are included in the packages? And the two free passes to mini-golf? And the other assorted coupons... we've never used any of the coupons that come with the packages. I'm curious if anyone does?

We're taking advantage of the Disneyquest vouchers and my son and I are doing DQ the day we arrive, we have a 9:30am landing and instead of rushing to a park (we have 1 day for animal kingdom, 2 for Epcot, 2 for mk, 1 food hs and 1 each for ioa and usf) we're spending that arrival day doing DQ and downtown disney.. We also have a reservation at t-rex cafe that evening..

My TA told me dec 9th my travel documents had arrived, but we haven't received them yet.. She's mailing them from Colorado and I'm not sure how long it takes to get to toronto, where I am. We leave in two weeks but she's at the world and then on a cruise till the 21st so I have no way of getting ahold of her. I hope they arrive soon!

There are many people who believe that the ferry boats are actually faster than the monorail for MK-TTC. This is especially true when it's very busy at the end of the day. Since they are (allegedly) increasing the number/frequency of the ferry boats while the monorail is down, it shouldn't affect your travel time too much.

Thank you! We're staying at the Boardwalk .. I'm hoping to cheer on the 10k and full marathon runners on Friday and Sunday

I saw the full programme is available on runDisney website now... it's so soon!

BUM.MER with a capital B. This affects us two days out of our stay. Not a huge deal just a juggling of time that we were not completely prepared for. Oh well. gives us another reason to look at our schedule and to talk more about our trip... guess we get to experience the boats on this trip.
