**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

no celebrations so to speak, one of the kids traveling with us will have a birthday on the day we leave so I guess we'll celebrate that while there - but really do we need a reason to celebrate other than making it back to Disney again!!!!!!!!

Nope, I never need a reason to go to Disney, none at all.

WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING???

We are celebrating my DH's birthday. We won't be in Disney on his actual birthday (on 1/17) instead we will be on our cruise portion of the trip. But after our cruise we will be celebrating it Disney style :goodvibes. The girls and I each had our birthdays celebrated at Disney in the past, therefore he said that it was his turn to celebrate there :thumbsup2. My DILs will be joining us with the celebration. Kids have no idea that they are coming along with us :goodvibes.

Lots of January Birthday's
Mine is 1/13 but we are really just there to celebrate being mom and daughter!

I'm going to throw out the next question of the day, I don't think it has been asked.

WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING???

It's my unbirthday! It's Mom's unbirthday too! It's our first mother/daughter trip! We're at Disneyworld!

Celebrating my retirement-39 years of teaching 2nd graders. Bringing the whole family- 8 adults and 2 little ones. We are staying in a grand villa in Bay Lake Towers from Jan3rd-8th. Then my sister and I are moving to OKW for 2 nights before flying back to Montana.

WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING???

We are celebrating a lot for our trip!! :thumbsup2
No. 1 is DD6 birthday (1/14), we didn't want to be there for MLK weekend so we pushed our trip out a week.
No. 2 & 3 is DS4 & DN11 first trip to WDW
No. 4 is our first family trip to WDW
No. 5 our grand gathering with both sets of grandparents! :lovestruc

No actual celebration but we will be making the most with this trip since it may be our last for awhile. We are just celebrating being able to go! 68 days and counting!!!!

Not officially celebrating anything but will be the first trip for my son-in-law and my grandsons, oldest is 2 and youngest is 6 weeks. (he will be 4 mths old when we go) So looking forward to seeing their reactions :)

My great-nephews will be with us and one is 2, but is just a couple of weeks short of 3 and his younger brother will be 6 months. Know what you mean about looking forward to seeing their reactions though. :goodvibes

I'm going to throw out the next question of the day, I don't think it has been asked.

WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING???

We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary (married 12/8/2001)

We are celebrating DH coming home from a year in Afghanistan and DDs 1st trip to Disney.

WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING???

Not celebrating, its our 25th anniversary re-do trip, we both got sick on that actual trip. :(

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We always bring a light jacket but they don't get worn much, after all its warmer in WDW
then up here in PA.

We also bring umbrellas just in case.

I do pack shorts for myself and usually wear them a few days.

Okay new question time!!

What resort are you staying at and why did you pick it?

We are staying at Old Key West! We picked it because we need a 2BR villa and my family used to own DVC there. It's still our home :goodvibes We have probably stayed there 15 times since the 90's when we used to go every year. I love the relazed atmosphere of OKW, and it is so beautiful!

We will be staying at our new timeshare..Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We just bought in about 6 months ago and we have points to "burn" so that was the impetus of this trip!

My question of the day

When do you plan to pack for your trip?

:sad2: I started last night. I've been collecting stuff for the trip in a pile beside my bed, well last night I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and packed the kids outfits and a few extras.

I will have to pack on the sly as this is a suprise for our DD's! I think I will have to get the bulk of it done before Xmas break. Then take advantage of every moment alone to tweak until we leave on the 5th. Worth it for the look on their faces when we pull into the airport!

I'm going to throw out the next question of the day, I don't think it has been asked.

Well, we won't be celebrating anything that week...but this trip was a gift from me to my DH for our anniversary!!:cloud9:

Question of the day, since so many of us are taking advantage of the free dining promotion

What ADR are you most looking forward to?

I forgot to answer my own question. I'm just happy that I was able to get all the meals I wanted around the times that my family usually eats their meals and to accommodate our traveling party - you know planning for 13 isn't exactly the easiest thing to do - especially when the plans change every other day - sadly I don't think this is exaggerating.
