**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

Okay, so I put DH to work this afternoon and he helped me design a lime green mickey head that might work for our January "family" here! We had one for March that was Mardi Gras themed that someone else made that was AWESOME! This is a work in progress...let me know what you guys think and if you have some other ideas. I was recognized by a fellow March diser by my tag on my bag...it was cool to see someone in person that I met here!

I figure we can have our dis name printed on it in the center "snowflake".

Opinions...and be honest!!

That is wonderful and so creative. I have used the other LGMH from Home Depot and no one spoke to me, but it is possible they didn't see it. I saw one once and actually spoke to the woman, she didn't seem too happy that I did, so I haven't spoken up again, but I haven't seen another one either and from my level, they shouldn't be hard to spot.

I just started the January facebook group...if you want to join then I think you just need to look me up and add me as a friend so I can add you to the group. It's a great way to get to know your fellow Jan friends!!

I LOVE it.

I actually spotted Marshay's stroller in the Safari Parking Lot at AK in August b/c she had a Mickey head tag and left her a note on the only thing I had - a park map - :rotfl: That's my closest dis meet story I have to tell. I have already made a generic green mickey head with my user name on it to hang from our stroller but love the "group" idea sooo much more.

ps, I sent you a facebook friend request too

Thanks, like I said, though..if anyone is craftier than me (and that's a lot of people ;) )..please feel free to add your own creations so we can have something to choose from!!

Hi, everyone! I have been reading this thread for several weeks now. I have a trip planned for the first week of January. This will be my fifth trip to WDW and my first solo trip. I am so excited! :yay:

I will be traveling to WDW via Southwest Airlines and staying at Pop Century Resort.

I thought I had already posted in the January thread, but I guess not?!?!?

Anyway, we'll be at OKW from 1/7-1/12 when we leave for a Dream Cruise. We have never stayed at a DVC resort and are excited to check out OKW. ALl of our ADRs are made and all I have left to do is buy park tickets.

I might have an idea or two in the works, but so far I'm not all that thrilled with anything I've done. March was easier! I'll share whatever I come up with though. Any excuse to play with Photoshop is a good one.

Oh, i love it!!

When I went in November someone had made this uber-cute Turkey with Mickey ears one and then I also added feathers to my Home Depot LGMH, too! It was fun to do.

Oh, I'm sorry you had a bad experience! I've met a few Dissers over the years (probably about 10 in 7 trips, so not a lot but it's still fun to do.)

If you see me or my stroller -- please stop by and say hello! I usually have 3-4 on us at one time.

I LOVE it.

Yes!! And I still have the AK map with your note on it!! My family didn't quite understand why I was so happy!! But it was a great little gift -- the only thing better would have been if I met you in person -- who knows? Maybe the 2nd time is the charm!

Question of the day, since so many of us are taking advantage of the free dining promotion

What ADR are you most looking forward to?

The Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian Tea Room. I know it's just sandwiches and little bites but in the setting and with the fine china and linens and atmosphere, well it's simply elegant sounding and I really think Mom will love it. We'll check out the resort and stay a while. It sounds like a peaceful faraway retreat from the crowds, noise, and weather outdoors.

I love this. Great idea! I sure hope the only snowflakes we see at WDW stay on this January LGMH.

Solo trip? Wow, sounds like fun. I am tempted to try that sometime, I think. Are you nervous about going solo?

I'm going to throw out the next question of the day, I don't think it has been asked.

WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING???

We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary (married 12/8/2001)

Two things!
First, the youngest of our children is now in college. A "just the two of us" trip.
Second, I'm celebrating my "second" Golden Birthday. (I'm turning the same age as the year I was born:rolleyes1)

Just got off the phone with our department scheduler. I work midnights so we were doing our vacation picks EARLY in the morning! :sad2: But, I got the week we need for our Jan vacation!!! Now it's just DH's turn..although we don't know when that will be. We work for the same employer but in different department's so it's up to his boss to set theirs up. We don't think it will be a problem since the holidays are over...it's just peace of mind..kwim?

You are definitely the craftier one here!! Look forward to seeing your creations!!

So excited:cool1: 76 Days until my sister and me leave for our first Disney World vacation :D Can't wait till January, normally I'm really excited for Christmas but this year, I just want Christmas to come and go so January will be here!!!!:thumbsup2

I took my mom and DD6 in May this year and it was sooo nice and relaxing. I got the full meal (well, 5 courses but it was a meal for me) and it was wonderful.

In January we are going back but this time we are taking my DH and my DD2. I don't expect it to be quite as relaxing with a 2yo but nonetheless we will enjoy.

I love this. Great idea! I sure hope the only snowflakes we see at WDW stay on this January LGMH.

Amen to that!!:rotfl::goodvibes:thumbsup2

This is exactly why my daughters and I love the Afternoon Tea Party. We have made a thing that my daughters leave DH for a couple of hours and have our tea while he finds something else to do on his own. I love the whole atmosphere of the place and the sandwiches and sally lund bread is so good...of course the little pastries are very good too :goodvibes.

Can you believe it we are almost there !I'm just so so excited even packed the new coffee pods so I can wake up every day go out the Poly' balcony and just take it all in .I haven't been back since 2007 and really am in need of a Disney fix.lol:goodvibes
