Question of the day, since so many of us are taking advantage of the free dining promotion

What ADR are you most looking forward to?

That's a tough one. I feel like I *should* say Le Cellier because we've never tried it and it is oh-so-hyped, but this is our 3rd attempt and on the first two times we were warned at check-in of very long waits and ended up dining elsewhere rather than wait until 8-9pm to be seated. That sort of puts a damper on my excitement about scoring the ADR, even though I am looking forward to the new signature menu. If I knew for sure we'd be dining there I'd be really excited, but given our history with the place I'm cautiously optimistic at best (and VERY glad I booked the ADR before the new cancellation policy went into effect, because with kids no restaurant is worth waiting an hour past our ADR time!).

Aside from that, it is a toss up between Citricos and California Grill. Citricos is the last of the "original" signatures that we've yet to try, and years of reading good reviews has me really looking forward to trying it. California Grill is a long standing family favorite and that's the night I'm surprising my son and brother with a custom birthday cake, so it should be a fun evening.

Out of all of our ADRs the one I am most excited for is California Grill. My DILs will be with us this trip and have never eaten there before (I don't think they even know there is a restaurant on the 15th floor of CR either). This is my family's favorite Signature Restaurant therefore I cannot wait for them to see the view of Cinderella's Castle and all of MK from up there. I also was able to make ADRs for 7:20pm that night and Wishes will go off at 8pm, so this will be the first time that we will be in the restaurant during Wishes (we usually make the first seating there). One other ADR that I cannot wait for is the Afternoon Tea at GF. This has become something that both of my girls and I do with out DH and it is something that we really enjoy :goodvibes.

Cinderella's Royal Table -- I had heard it got some bad reviews (i.e., you're not going there for the food) but when we went in May for lunch, it was one of our tastiest meals and you can't beat the entertainment, decorations, etc. We truly felt like we were eating in a castle and were in awe the whole time.

So we are going to try dinner this time and I hope it's every bit as good. My girls (2 and 6yo) loved their meal and so did DH and I. I was impressed by how they still served my 2yo a full meal even though we didn't pay for it. So we're going again one last time before she turns 3!:cutie:

Do I REALLY have to choose? :rotfl: Gosh that is really difficult. I'm excited for all of our reservations for all sorts of different reasons. Crystal Palace is always lots of fun with the characters, Raglan Road has the best fish 'n chips and bread pudding, Via Napoli has my favorite chicken parm, I've heard awesome things about the Yachtsman and Cape May... Ugh I could go on over here!

I really just cannot choose one... though I will say that I am VERY excited to have that bread pudding again at Raglan Road. :thumbsup2

I'm most looking forward to breakfast at Akershus. My DDs are going to have so much fun meeting the princesses while dressed as princesses.

It's a toss up between Artists Point Dinner and Crystal Palace brunch. These are 2 ADR's we would not have made unless we had FD. AP would have been too expensive for our family of 5 Disney adults while a Character Breakfast was something we could not justify with teenage kids. Once FD came up we decided to go with a signature restaurant and, while the kids may be teenagers, Winnie the Pooh and friends have a special place in their hearts. So both of these will be special experiences we would not have had but for FD.

Breakfast at O'hana I think...DD11 is a HUGE Stitch fan, she will so surprised..plus I hear good things about that breakfast. No free dining here, either as we are staying off site, but the ADR's we have are just as important to our vacation as the parks. It's all part of the experience!

I was on Facebook the other day and realized that I hadn't joined a photopass share yet. I found another person looking for the same time frame and so we are starting a new share. I know that we aren't supposed to have them here, but I hope a link to another site is acceptable. We are both going early Jan so if anyone is interested:

Edited to add that we have been adopted by another share..sorry they are full now.

Oh, and has anyone started a facebook group for Jan yet? I was in one for March and Oct and wouldn't mind starting one if no one has yet...

I have 3 Passports that I have printed on cardstock and GBC bound – these are files that I found in the Creative Dis section. They are just slightly less than 6"x8" in size. I decided to go with another style since we need 8 of them now. If anyone would like the first 3 I made they are yours, just private message me your address and I’ll drop them in the mail to you today. No sense in them going to waste.

I loved the character interaction at our meal in 2008 - and the food was wonderful too

We did this on our last trip and loved it. DD wore her Belle dress and thought she was sooo cool b/c she was a princess too.

Better late than never. Going on a solo trip Jan 23-27, staying at ASMu.:goodvibes

Lucky you. I would love to go on a solo trip. Some day I hope to be able to do that.

My baby's 48 inches tall! :cool1: I'm so excited for her to have no restrictions on what she can ride at Disney World. Bring on the Rock'n Roller Coaster! Now if my son can pick up that extra quarter inch before January, we'll all (hopefully) be riding Splash Mountain and Star Tours together! ('m trying not to be too disappointed that Thunder Mountain Railroad will be down in January).

January is around the corner and I haven't had any time to plan for this trip :(

Yay for 48 inches!!

Okay, so I put DH to work this afternoon and he helped me design a lime green mickey head that might work for our January "family" here! We had one for March that was Mardi Gras themed that someone else made that was AWESOME! This is a work in progress...let me know what you guys think and if you have some other ideas. I was recognized by a fellow March diser by my tag on my bag...it was cool to see someone in person that I met here!

I figure we can have our dis name printed on it in the center "snowflake".

Opinions...and be honest!!

Great question, but for me, it should be which ADR aren't you looking forward to. I am looking forward to all of them except Biergarten, that is DH's thing.

I still haven't gotten all of mine squared away, maybe tonight.

I think I am most excited about HDDR and Rose and Crown.
