Those all sound like great ideas! Do you know, does the Disney florist deliver anywhere, or just at WDW? The thing is, MIL s not coming with us...but having a Disney themed arrangement delivered the day we leave might be nice. I also thought about getting her a copy of the photopass CD...can you order more than one, or are they able to be copied? Legally, of course!

I also love the countdown chain idea...a way to make the waiting more bearable!

Hi guys!

I'm so happy to have finally found this board! We booked last week at ASMu Family suites! It will be our 1st time there, we've stayed at ASMo, Pop before and loved them, so sure we will love this, too and i'm excited about having the extra room!! Our dates are 1/15-21! Can't wait to count down with you all!!

We are also staying at ASMu family suites 1/14-21, this will be our first time there too. We have done BLT and BC in the past. I think my kiddos will enjoy the theming. Enjoy your vacation!

I'm almost positive that the Disney florist only delivers to Disney resorts, but maybe you can take a look at what they offer and make one yourself. It might take some shopping at the parks, and putting it together when you get home, but I'm sure she'd appreciate it.

As far as the photopass, I'm sure you could copy the cd, I know others that have. Or you could make her a photo album from the pics off of it and your personal pics! We often do this for my parents bc they always enjoy looking at the pictures, but hate having the random pics floating around in drawers all over the house.

Booked the last ADR this morning, a tour and ME..........I'm ready!!

AWESOME!!! I just booked our flights this morning on SWA and very happy w/ the fares cam in under budget and your post reminds me I need to book DME too...

I haven't been in January before, but I thought it was Splash Mtn that was usually closed then. I would hate for BTMRR to be closed, I love it, but don't ride Splash Mtn. Stinks that Fantasmic is closed, we haven't seen it since Dec 2006 and I wanted to be sure to see it in January, oh well.

Yes splash mtn is usually closed but I heard something about BTMRR being close next January. But nothing is official yet so lets cross our fingers and hope that just fantasmic.

Adding my name to the list...Pop Century from 2012-01-20 to 2012-01-27. ADR's in the bag also....Christmas gift/suprise for my wife....Now all I have to do is wait, easier said then done!

Just got done making all of our ADRs....we got everything we wanted in the time frame that we wanted too except for one. For some reason I wasn't able to get Tutto Italia dinner (party of 6) for 1/23/11 . I am not too worried about it because that is the one ADR that we are not sure if we really want or not. My other ADRs are:
1/22 (arrival day) CRT Dinner @ 5:30pm
1/23 Akershus Breakfast @ 8:00am
Le Cellier Lunch @ 12:50pm
1/24 Crystal Palace @ 8:05am
California Grill @ 5:45pm
1/25 (departing day) Cape May Cafe Breakfast @ 7:30am

We also booked our flight down because we got such an awesome deal through Airtran...$72 for 4 people, the only down side is that we are in the midst of trying to find our return flight....hoping to get just as good of a deal

I love the way you think....if only I had a million dollars . Also, thank you so much for your response, I know I would of become obsessive and started to look for the ADR 3,4,5 times a day . Thanks for saving me and my frustrations .

What are the January, early February times to avoid due to holidays or special events.
I assume:
MLK weekend
Marathon weekend (When is it in 2012?)
Presidents weekend

Any others?

We're going January 18-Feb 2. We are SO excited as it will be our first DW vacation. We have done Disneyland twice with the girls and my ODD loved it. Excited to see how my YDD will react now that she is a little older. We are staying at POP century for now but that could change. Happy to join you!

Well that is very nice of you, She is also very awesome She has been a life long Disney fan and this year I decided to make her dream come true.

ALthough the one thing I never expected to be so hard is keeping it from her.

Not doing that many since we're ditching the DDP this time, so...

1/23 Lunch at Le Chefs (new)
1/24 Lunch at Prime Time
1/25 Keys to the Kingdom Tour (new)
Dinner at The Plaza (new)
1/26 Breakfast at Kouzzina (new)
Dinner at Ohana
1/27 UnDISCOVERed Epcot Tour (new)

Which leaves 4 days of counter service......not sure how I feel about that!

Spontaneous decision to move our trip to January 2012 for our daughters 5th birthday and it's a surprise trip!

We will be staying from 1/8 - 1/13; daughters birthday is on the 12th!

We're planning on renting DVC points for our stay.

You pretty much got all of them, but I would also add the first week in January, just bc there will probably be a lot of schools that don't go back until Jan 4th or 5th.
The marathon is January 5-8th and the Princess 1/2 Marathon is Feb 24-28th. Really I would stay away from Feb 17th-29th. Presidents day weekend starts on the 17th, that is also the same week as Mardi Gras, which I have heard adds quite a bit to the crowd level, and the week then ends with the marathon. Not a good recipe for short waits for the rides.

Good luck choosing a time to go, it's a great time to go if you ask me!
