11 days until go time!!!
Tomorrow is online check -in day, but I really don't know if I should or not. Last year we had two villas at BLT with a request to be as close together as possible, but we still ended up on two separate floors and on complete opposite ends of the building. We did online check in then.

We have two villas booked and when we booked I put in a request to be at least on the same floor. So would you check in onsite or will it matter you think?

We leave TOMORROW!!!:cheer2: I still have a lot to do (I have mentioned my aversion to packing, haven't I?) ;)

The girls are packed. They've gone through their lanyards and picked which pins they're bringing to trade. iPhone/iPad apps are updated and ready to go (thank you, touring lines!) Steve Soares schedules printed out. All reservation paperwork printed out. Still need to pack for myself (groan), get the OverLand bags ready to go, and pack the touring books we want (e.g. hidden Mickey book, etc). I should probably stop into work today, but I don't want to. However, I am leaving the work BlackBerry at home. I need this vacation!!!

DH's cold/allergies seems to be unchanged. His allergies can get so bad that we have no idea if what he has now is a cold or an allergic reaction to something. The rest of us seem "relatively" healthy at the moment, thank goodness. "Relatively" meaning as good as we can be, given it is winter! Keep the good health vibes heading our way! :goodvibes

I'm interested to hear people's opinions on this as well. It's day 10 for us, and I still haven't decided whether to do online check-in or not. I have a request in for one of two areas, so I'm wondering if I'm better off doing online check in or taking our chances with regular check in (we won't get in until really late though...)

And we're down to 10 days here!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Tomorrow will finally be single digits!

I did a combination of both this year. I did on-line check in, but called and spoke to someone about my reservation as I was checking in. He made sure my room requests were in the system. We arrive tomorrow, so I guess I will know then if it worked or not!

Final Plans (well lets hope this is it) my DH is tired of me saying would you prefer this or that..or this day or this..we leave in 19 days and the planning stage is finally complete

1/21- Arrival Day, heading to AK
1/22 MK: BBB ressie at 340 for DD 3 and then CRT dinner at 650, then off to enjoy evening EMH
1/23 DHS: 430 50s PT ADR for dinner then evening EMH
1/24 Epcot 520 ADR at Akershaus
1/25 Park TBD :confused::guilty:
1/26 MK 10am Pirates League for DD 12, 710 ADR at Tonys Town Square
1/27 DTD,before we leave

We have hoppers so we will take advantage of those as well and move around a little if there is a crowd somewhere unexpected, but this is pretty much the end of the planning.

We are finally in the single digits of our countdown!!! Haven't decided yet if we are going to do online check-in since my sis-in-law and niece are coming with us, have their own room/package but won't be doing online check-in. Our agent requested rooms close to each other so I am not sure if only one of use does online check-in that it might jeopardize that request.

I've done on-line check in for our last couple of trips ... BUT, if I don't like the room I got by looking at the map, I just pleasantly ask the CM to see if there is anything else available.

My philosophy is that it can't hurt to ask nicely and I certainly won't get anything nicer w/o asking. No one has told me I can't do both...so I guess I'll continue until they tell me differently.

At BLT, it worked for us to get a room overlooking the marina and monorail going into the building but still at standard room points.

At AKV-Kidani, we tried to switch but couldn't for all the nights...ended up having the best location anyway. We were very glad we didn't switch.

At SSR, they had us out further away from the main building...I asked them to check if they had something closer. They said no at first, then found something. This was great as we could walk to the pool, boat, etc.

Well my house is back to normal....since both DH and I were both off today we decided to take down Christmas. I hated to see it get all packed away since Christmas is my favorite time of year, but I am excited to have my house back to normal. Now I can focus on cleaning, doing the laundry, the last minute shopping, and pulling down all of our suit cases :sad2: :goodvibes.

We leave tomorrow! Packing is pretty much done, house tidy and clean. Just need to vacuum. Relaxing and reading the new Stphen King novel on my kindle I bought for the plane. It's a good one and quite long so I think it might get me through the flight.

Have fun all those setting off soon or on your way. To those still counting down the weeks it goes so fast you'll be there before you know it.

3 1/2 days woohoo and we are going to Sea World, apparently they decided to go ahead and carry over the Here's to the Hero Salute but just haven't put it on the website. I am so excited, I have never been to Sea World, DH went when he was about 10 and I am sure it is quite different.

Yay! I've been looking for information on this, but hadn't found anything. Do you have to register online for the tickets? I hope you have a great time!

So jealous of all that are leaving soon! Have a great time and don't forget your layers. I heard it was freezing there tonight...a wind chill advisory caused A lot of outdoor activities to be cancelled by some of the resorts.

Dont forget to check in and let us know how it is! :yay:

I hear ya! We are taking ours down too...normally keep them up at least though the middle of the month b/c I just love seeing all the decorations! But we want to come home from Disney with a clean house.

... we want to come home from Disney with a clean house.

We do too. It feels good, IF you can feel good coming home that is. ;) Then, in our house, the suitcases explode and it takes weeks to clean again. At least it was clean when we came home.:) The only time it ever seems to be clean. When people are coming over and when we are leaving on vacation.

We took ours down yesterday. I grew up Catholic and never quite let go of the tradition of keeping everything decorated until Epiphany so it feels weird to have everything put away so early, but working around the trees and decor was getting in the way of sewing and packing.

:rotfl:

Oh my that is me to a T!!!! I will be cleaning my house on any given day and the first thing that comes out of my kid's mouths are "who is coming over?" :lmao:.
