**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

Okay everyone, I need all the good vibes you can send our way. DH, who never gets sick, has been knocked down with an awful cold, and we leave in two days. So far, the kids and I are fine, but who knows how long that will last? I've already done a week in Disney with a head cold and have no desire to repeat that experience! :sad1:

I would be force feeding everyone including DH a ton of Emergen-C, Zicam, etc. :rotfl: Prevent you and the kids from getting it, and try to find something that dulls it for DH.

:woohoo: 13 days for us!!! OMG!! :dance3:

For any of you that are surprising your kids, how are you planning on doing it? I still haven't decided how we will tell them, but I know we will tell them the morning we leave. Both of them have said numerous times over the past couple weeks, out of the blue, "I wanna go back to Disney World!!" It has been SO HARD not to just blurt it out!

Oh no. I hope he feels better and that you guys don't catch it!!! I agree with the above poster about the emergen-c to help prevent colds for you all.

And congrats to all the posters who now get to say, I will be at Disney World within the week!!!! How exciting for you all! I hope you all have a wonderful trip. And to the rest of us, our time is quickly coming as well! Yay! We're down to 11 days here, and time is flying so quickly, I just can't believe it will be here so quickly.

We've done 3 surprises, 2 letting them know on Christmas (feb & jan trips) and one waking them at 4am the morning of. My fav was a scavenger hunt with the various "clues" having notes as well as a trinket needed on the trip (new ds game, activity book for the flight, pillowcase for autographs, etc). That one ended with the big box & mickey balloon that floated out with the countdown calendar but yours could end with their carry on bags packed and ready to go. :woohoo:

The one where we woke them at 4am was met with one surprise reaction, one ***, and my oldest giving a big I told you so because he overheard me rearranging flights & reservations because our original was cancelled due to a blizzard. :headache: We just did a puzzle announcement on xmas for this years trip (same time as you) and my oldest who took the time to do the puzzle was excited but I'm unsure if it was because he finally figured out the puzzle (lots of small pieces and no clue what it was supposed to look like  ), my dd was thrilled (she's my constant when are we going back / I miss Disney gal), and my middle guy said he wanted to stay in the pools this trip. :rolleyes1

You must be my long lost twin! We're going to be at the same parks on the 15th, 17th, 19th and the 21st. And we have a Tusker house breakfast that same morning as well.

And what's even funnier is I just noticed your signature. We have the same name; mine's just spelled differently. Carrie Anne. Your son's name isn't Jonathan, is it? That's my son's name, and I see your DS's name starts with a J....

:rotfl: Well what a small world (pun intended!). :lmao: Must be long lost twins (or fellow a fellow TGMer)... and yes, the kids name is John. We call him JC though since he's a Jr. :thumbsup2 Not too often you find a Cariann (Carrie Ann, etc). I have found one other in my life of 40+ years who was spelled the same way as mine and she was in OH.

TH is my fam's FAV character breakfast so it kills me that it's the one day that would be great to go to Legoland. I'm not cancelling that one though until we 100% decide. I'm thinking it will be a game time decision.

Nice to "meet" you! :cutie:

Hey, we'll be in MK on the same day. And we may be in DHS on 1/27, too! Maybe we'll see you there!:thumbsup2

Guess what? We are doing the GF Tea, too in the afternoon on 1/26...need to look up my time but I think it's either 3:40pm or 4:30pm. Hope to see you there!:cool1:

How cool would that be :goodvibes, all 4 of us have lime green Mickey heads on each of our bags so we won't be that hard to miss. Our Tea time is at 3:40pm, if you have the same time look for a woman with 2 girls ages 10 and 8 :thumbsup2.

I've never meet anyone with their name spelled the same way as me. My parents named me after the song Hey Carrie Anne, so that's how it got to be spelled that way, but that song came out long before I was born, so I guess people weren't naming their kids after it then ;).... But I did go to high school with a Cari Ann.

Nice to meet you too. I hope you have a great trip!!!

Ok, just checked...we are at 4:40pm so we'll be arriving about the time you are leaving but I hope to still say hello!

Here is a pic of us -- DH and I are really tall and hard to miss! All 4 of us are dining this time. In May we took my mom and my DD6. DD6 loved it so much she wanted to go back with her younger sister and Daddy!:cutie:

and we'll have LGMH, too! I tie a 9" one to my stroller and a 6" one to my bags!:rotfl2:

PLEASE, please stop us and say hello if you see us and I don't see you!!

Awww what a beautiful family you have. I will definitely look for you and say hi :goodvibes. It's great that your DH goes to the Tea with you and your girls, my DH could care less about it, but that is fine because I have been wanting to do a tradition with just my girls and I while we are there and having Afternoon Tea does it for us :goodvibes. Hopefully we will see you there.

I think this is going to be the longest and most stressful 4 weeks of my life!!

We are leaving the kids with a long time friend, my 2 oldest are excited, but I have never left the baby alone other then with Grandma and it scares me!! He is a mamas boy and she is unable to come up before the day we leave (we leave that night).

AHHH I am still excited but stressed!

Currently up in the air, about an hour outside of Orlando! Love the in flight wifi!

And the first bit of pixie dust: We were upgraded to first class on the flight to Orlando pixiedust:

This is going to be a wonderful trip :lovestruc I can just tell!

I ordered a Monogrammed Carry-On Duffel Bag from Lands End. Also, a Jack Skellington long sleeve t-shirt and a rainbow fleece zipperdown sweatshirt from Disney.com. Totally getting ready for my trip! :cheer2:

Thank you! DH is great -- he even dresses to coordinate our colors, as you can see from the pic! I was just going to do DD6 and me but she really wanted Daddy and sister to do it too ... so we'll see. DH said he'd like to try it once...doesn't think he'll do it again, but he can't resist his daughter wanting him to go!:goodvibes

We had a certain classification of ticket that was eligible for an upgrade at a lower cost, or something along those lines. :goodvibes

EDITS: Now spending the night at the Hyatt MCO before heading off to the GF tomorrow! Everything is so relaxing, and we have a nice view of the rotunda from our balcony. Finally, we're here!
