I'm so excited, and I have no one else to share it with - so I'll share it here!
I booked the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise for Jan. 29!! I know my kids will love it!
I wish I had someone I could be really excited about this stuff with. But DH just isn't into planning and we're surprising the kids with the trip at Christmas.

I'll be excited with you. I don't have children and DH is happy we are going, he just doesn't get excited about the planning part. He is gonna have me sick of planning if we have to keep watching the planning DVD and our other WDW DVD's every Sunday.

Thanks! My DH would never want to watch the DVD. I recorded a Magic Kingdom special from the Travel Channel for us to watch, and you would have thought I had asked him to watch some distant relative's vacation video. I think he's excited about going, but wants nothing to do with it until we're there. He had a great time last time and it was nice to have him thank me for all the planning I did to have everything run smoothly.

I recorded a Magic Kingdom special from the Travel Channel for us to watch, and you would have thought I had asked him to watch some distant relative's vacation video. I couldn't tell you who is more excited about our trips, me or him. But, I get to do all the planning, making reservations, making sure the money is handled, all of that. He does his own packing and the driving.

We have the 5 or 6 dvd set that is all the Travel Channel specials plus I have a few that I downloaded on my iPod, but he insists on watching them all the time. I'm going to be burnt out by January.

Ok, well, I have changed our plans again. We will spend the first 2 nights at Pop Century, then we are moving over to SoG for the last 5 nights, I just couldn't pass up the offer they have for January.

My girlfriend and I are going for Martin Luther King weekend but still have not decided where we are staying (whether off site or at one of the All Star resorts).

We canceled our spring break plans and rescheduled around the MLK weekend since DD gets off two days around that weekend. We are going Jan 11-17th and staying at POFQ. Praying for no snow at home on departure day!!!

By the way, I just booked my ADR's (Breakfast in Crystal Palace, Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea, Trails Ends, Whispering Canyon, Boatwright dining hall, Nine dragons, Rain Forest, 50's prime time and House of Blues).....I'm sooo excited !

What date do you have 50's Prime Time? I've got dinner booked there on the 29th

Hey, I think I can raise you on that one OziJo I have 21 hours worth of flights (Adelaide --> Sydney --> LA --> Orlando) as well as 16ish hours worth of stopovers.

I don't envy any of you. If we weren't close enough to drive, we would never go to WDW, because I am deathly afraid of airplanes. We have a 6 hour drive, DH would rather fly.

We picked January because my daughter has a couple of days off of school towards the end of the month, so it works out well that she'll only be missing a couple days of school instead of an entire week. Low crowds, mild temperatures and value season are icing on the cake! This will be our first January trip (and only our second trip overall), so we'll be ready for anything temperature wise.

We're planning to surprise our kiddos on Christmas day too! I'd love to hear what others have done or have in mind to surprise their children too.

We are surprising our DS for Christmas too! I would also love to hear some great ideas. Right now, my best idea is getting a plush Mickey in a pirate suit (because we have a pirate room at CBR) and putting a tag on him that says something like, "I can't wait to see you in 34 days!"

Arriving isn't too bad. All the excitement keeps you going. Plus we will be arriving in MCO at 9pm so we can go to sleep asap and wake up to a new day!!

I was even thinking one evening at the resort
I only have some of my ADR's
We usually eat around 6 pm as well
I'm sure we can find a time to sit and chat
