The Official Harper's Island thread starts 4/9/09....

I have to say I was really disappointed by last night episode...didnt see Wakefield at all only good thing is that there might be a second killer (so much for the channel saying there is only 1). Cant be Jimmy why would the sheriff make a deal to keep him alive with Maggie?? So now it could be someone that is in the "in crowd" who I at first was thinking NO since they kept saying only one killer...So c'mon who has thoughts on the 2nd killer??? Has got to be Makefields kid, wish someone would read the damn diary that would tell you all. And I agree will someone just do away with Madison no child should be that damn freaky!!

I can't believe it's Jimmy...the sheriff told Abby that Jimmy loves her and he was so concerned about him being alive...of course the sheriff probably never saw the second killer so that he couldn't tell Abby...

I was kinda disappointed when they revealed Wakefield but it's cool as long as there is a second killer. But I am super ticked that the sheriff didn't tell them a long time ago that he buried a different body...that was REALLY annoying.

So I'm thinking it's Nikki? the chick from the bar...now that they've pointed us to Jimmy so much, I don't think it's him. I can't wait to see what happens with Cal and the other guy, that should be cool.

3 more episodes!

i enjoyed last night's episode, although i'm sad about the sheriff-i'm glad he redeemed himself in abby's eyes and that jimmy is alive. it's really going to suck if he's the 2nd killer. IF there's a 2nd killer...who knows?

I think Jimmy will turn out to be Wakefield's son but I don't think he's a killer although he DID look a little strange in the previews for next week. IF there is a second killer, it will be someone out of left field...I can't imagine CBS would give us any hints at all.

agreed-IF there's a 2nd killer, it's going to be someone we didn't expect. *hopes it's not jimmy* lol

Keep going back to my original cant be Jimmy hes too cute!! Im thinking it has to be someone familiar with the island and is trying to get back at anyone who has wronged him and I think its Henry and he is gonna be Wakefields son!!

Did anyone actually think that Wakefield was still alive?

I didn't. Or at least I didn't think he'd end up being a part of the killings. To me it's kind of a good plot-twist because it is so likely that someone like him, if still alive, would be part of it. So I didn't figure he actually would be, whether dead or alive. It's a plot-twist because it's something so predictable that to me it really was unexpected. Or something like that .

I wish they'd do more short-term mystery shows like this, which I think was the plan if it had been successful, wasn't it? At least I think I heard the guy who played the Uncle Marty (you know - what's his name - I forget) say that on Regis and Kelly before the show premiered. It's kind of like a Stephen King mini-series, only better than some of those have been.

The only problem is it doesn't say who is going to be killed.
The chart is usually updated on Thursdays with the upcoming victims.

Did anyone actually think that Wakefield was still alive?
I did...a few episodes back, Sheriff Mills was talking to Abby about Wakefield coming back to the island and killing all those people. I thought the Sheriff said Wakefield was not dead but I thought I didn't hear him correctly.

I do not think Jimmy is Wakefields son. I am sure the sheriff knew about the other kid and he would not push Abby to Jimmy knowing they were half siblings.

Did anyone actually think that Wakefield was still alive?

Yes, because that would explain why the Sheriff sent Abby away.

Wakefield's diary was written when he was in prision, but we did not know when it was written (before or after the original killings). I am guessing after and the deputy knew that, since he had the diary and ****ie trapped his place.

OK, hear me out here.... I do think it's only one killer, with the exception of Wakefield coming back to finish off the sheriff. I think Wakefield's son is going to end up being..... Booth, who is not really dead. I think Booth is going to end up being the one who is killing everyone on the island. I don't think it is Jimmy because he was unconsious when Maggie was killed. And he was with Abby when Harkin was killed. But I think that Booth was actually shot by his dad (Wakefield) when Malcolm showed up. But I do not think it was a fatal shot and after Malcolm "buried" him in such a hurry, Wakefield came and unburied him and now Booth is finishing the job.

Booth has no alibi for any of the kills before he was shot, and of course, now, he is available for all the murders.

I think that Wakefield did make a deal with the sheriff and that is why he dumped off Jimmy at the Cannery, then went on to the Candlewick to wait for Abby.

Oh, and anyone notice the sheriff's hands in the scene where he shot the two state cops from the mainland? They were the hands of a young man..... so I knew even then that it wasn't the sheriff. And it couldn't have been Jimmy because he was at the Candlewick with everyone else. And after the explosion at the marina, Jimmy would have been very wet at the least, to have been shooting at everyone, and the person dressed in the sheriff's uniform was dry.

Also, Henry was with the group, too, so that would eliminate him. I was so not on the Booth is the killer bandwagon.... until this last episode.

I was pretty sure it wasn't the sheriff but I didn't notice the hands looked "young" If they did, wouldn't that eliminate Wakefield too?

Wait, so you mean there are 2 killers Wakefield and Booth...right?

I noticed the hands too and they definitely looked like a young man's to me too. I don't think they were big enough to be Wakefield's but I could be wrong.

Booth has been on my short list for a long time and your senerio works for me--I think Booth might have really shot himself as part of a plan and then Wakefield got him...but at this point I think Booth would be kind of lame. It almost needs to be Jimmy or Henry...I'm not sure I'm going to be happy whoever it is.

I wish they would do more shows like this too!

Booth would make sense but be BORING. In the first episode I dont think he even spoke. What ever happened to the Uncles money?? They made a big deal out of the fact he had it and a gun...then nothing more about it at all.

I am thinking the same thing :thumbsup2 I never bought Booth's death...how quick he died  And no one will be looking for him, so he is free to run around the island killing.

Yes!!! I stopped it and replayed it to show DH...those were a young persons hands :thumbsup2

As much as I don't want it to be him, I think its Jimmy! Soooooooo cute.

Anyway, I think the explosion was staged by Jimmy and Wakefield and he somehow had an escape plan, it was all a ploy to get Abby to show up alone at the inn where Wakefield was going to kill her dad. Jimmy was hurring Shane along and kept saying, "hurry up, just do it!" when they were at the dock, I think they rigged that generator to explode and Jimmy was trying to get Shane to push the button before the others got to the boat since they didn't want anyone to die in the explosion, they just wanted them to witness it, then scatter when Wakefield was shooting at them. It's a game for him.

Just my thoughts.

ITA!! There was something important about him having it--like he was a hitman? I wonder why they've never gone back to that. But this isn't Lost--I don't expect every loose end to be explained...

Uhm....I like your way of thinking. :thumbsup2

Although I would not like to see Jimmy as a killer, but the pp ideas make sense too. I will be gone this weekend, so will have to wait to see it Sunday night.
