Yes he is. But the Chief promised Meredith's mother that he'd take care of her. He's thinking that if Meredith and Derek are going to stay together, it wouldn't be a good marriage/relationship for Derek to be chief. He's just looking out for Meredith.

And with Burke and Christine it's all about the job for both of them, so he's probably not concerned about them.

I think Derick will choose the girl, but perhaps that will be the cliff hanger.

I heard rumours that Callie's leaving the show so that would leave George and Izzie together unless George leaves too.

I've heard rumours that George isn't leaving but I've also heard rumours that an intern is leaving but I doubt Izzie would leave but it is possible, I guess.

I liked the interaction with Christina and Burke once I saw the whole show. When they were together and Burke came over and told her that the other guy was leaving and she said it was about time and he said "good" and something about her being her old self. The narration talked about making decisions to go forward in a new direction. Maybe, this is the start of a new, softer, Christina. Crossroads was definetly the theme in last nights show, wasn't it.

About Izzy's daughter...I have feeling the adopted parents did NOT ask "Hannah" about meeting Izzy. I don't know why I think that...but I honestly think, they made the decision not the 11 year old girl.

This should be an interesting story line!

Interestingly, I thought the look Christina made when Burke mentioned her going back to her old self, that look seemed to be one of someone not wanting to move forward in the Burke direction, and perhaps one of someone who would want to distance oneself...

I was rewaching the first season recently and saw the first episode again. In the scene where he walks the interns into the operating room, he mentions that this is where they'll be spending their "next seven years". I thought that was odd but somehow they are stretching this for seven years (which goes with the seven year contracts). They have a very weird hospital internship but this is TV land.

Well put - totally my thoughts too... Maybe they'll end up giving McSteamy and Callie another go once Addy leaves the show... I just don't see her sticking with George for much longer - and actually I'm fine with that, I want him to be with Izzy!

I'm all for the bringing back of McVet too, btw, but I think he was pretty clear about that when he left!
