Do you really think that they'll write George's preferences into the show? They never wrote that into Frasier about Niles.

Heck, most shows that have a gay character don't have one that's actually gay anyway. I think George and Callie should live happily ever after.

OT: I've thought Kyle Chandler is cute since I first saw him in "Homefront" as Jeff Metcalfe (TV 1991-1993).

I can't believe it's been that long since Homefront was on TV. It was such a wonderful show that was never really given a chance. And that's when I first paid attention to KC too!

Please kill Meredith...She is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying... Maybe we can have the bomb guy come back in her place.

(But I really don't want Meredith to be dead.)

Somehow, I didn't see Meredith's rescue. I saw the little girl pointing toward the water when Derek asked where Mer was. Can someone tell me what was shown of the rescue. (I'm assuming her "knight in shining whatever" was the rescuer, right?) TIA

They never really showed the rescue. After the little girl pointed toward the water, the next thing they showed of Meredith and Derek was them in the ambulance and Derek doing CPR.

I'm thinking she doesn't die. I'm thinking she saw Denny so she could tell Izzie. But I'm wondering why she saw "cute bomb guy"...say instead of George's dad? Not sure why "cute bomb guy" is back.

I think it was because Meredith and "bomb guy" had a connection that she didn't really have with George's dad. They had some serious chemistry and he got her thru the toughest thing she ever faced (up until now).

The only thing I am bummed about was that I was on a Kyle Chandler forum (bomb guy) and I read about him being on before I saw it. It would have been a really great surprise.

On a side note, Kyle Chandler is really great in Friday Night Lights. I encourage everyone to watch. Of course that's because I want a second season

They showed a clip of a Coast Guard guy standing next to thh little girl and Derek carrrying a pale/blue/dead Meredith out of the water - then the ambulance..

actually, they showed Derek carrying Meredith out of the water. The little girl was all alone near the water and a guy came to get her. He picked her up to carry her away and then they showed Derek walking up a ramp out of the water carrying Meredith! The little girl even saw that Mer was rescued. Derek was wet so he must have dove in to find her. Then they went to commercial. After the commercial Mer & Derek were in the ambulance

I can’t believe last night’s episode…they sure did make up for a not so great one last week!

I don’t think they will kill off Meredith. I think it would change the direction and the tone of the show too much. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it applies here. Her character is whiny and I am getting a little tired of some of her storylines but she is such an integral part of the show that I just can’t see them killing her off for good or even making her just the voice over girl. They just need to get her some better storylines IMHO.

I think the ideas on here about Mer making peace with her Mom in this middle ground area she is in are probably on target. I think dear old Mom will be showing up soon to join her, Denny and Bomb Guy.

Seeing Bomb Guy and then Denny was such a shock to me and I about fell out of my chair. What a great surprise. When she first gasped and woke up I thought it much have been a dream and I was going to be mad but I liked this twist better. I am so happy to see Kyle Chandler again. He is way too cute and when he first showed up on the show I was so hoping he would get to be a regular.

Izzie is really ticking me off. She used to be my favorite character but lately she has been such a witch and I can’t hardly stand her now. I like George and Callie together and I couldn’t believe that Izzy said what she did to George. That whole speech of hers really annoyed me and I thought it was some bad writing from a show that normally has such fantastic writing. That part was very disappointing for me….

As far as George and Kallie...Leave them alone, let them get their grove on before George goes gay on the show.

It was a great show. I can't believe I'm as hooked as I am on this show.

The "her person" came from an early episode when Christina needed someone to list as an emergency contact and she told Mer she listed her as "her person"

I agree about Izzy. I like her, she was my favorite, but she is bugging me too. I think she is jealous that George got to marry his intense love, but hers died. Old green eyed monster stuff.

Not that I don't think George and Callie need some work. I don't think they should of rushed off and gotten married, I think she should of waited.

This is seriously probably going to be my longest post in history! Sorry, but lots of thoughts are floating through my fragile little mind after last nights episode and the thought of waiting until next Thursday is almost killing me! Now...

Jaw dropping episode… After a bit of a slow start last week I was relieved to see how good last nights episode was!

I think the whole “I Believe” speech by Izzie at the end had to do with a throw-back to last weeks episode where Izzie told Mere “I don’t know what I believe in anymore.” By the end of last nights episode she finally new what she really believed in and it was time for her to tell everyone… It almost seemed like it stemmed a little from the cat & mouse game, she and George were playing right before when she kept saying Mere will be okay and George kept saying sometimes that isn’t the truth… People we love don’t end up being okay - he’s still feeling that sting from his dad’s death. Her honesty with George - to me - showed how much she loves him, but it made me want to cry...

I love Alex’s storyline too! He’s being written as such a nice guy now… How long do we think that will last? He’s also sharing his feelings more with Addy - hence the “I would notice…” comment!

Do I think they’ll kill Mere - no way… Do I wish they would? - yeah, kind of … She’s too mopey lately and it’s getting old! She’s gotta resolve her issues with her mom though, before she can move on with her own life!

Idea time! Now I’m going to go slightly off topic here - awhile back I read something about Shonda Rhimes writing a pilot for Jeffrey Dean Morgan… Could his little appearance here be heading for a spin-off??? We’ll have to wait and see - I would personally be okay with that!

Another interesting site I visited which I’ll share (in case others haven’t been there) is http://www.greyswriters.com/ - it’s a blog maintained by the writers of each episode… Shonda’s got some interesting stuff to say about some of our favorite Seattle Grace interns! Seems Shonda's deserving of my !

I would - but it’s not on… In my area they’re showing Bomb Squad Guy’s Code Black episodes! I think that’s an awesome move in case some don’t know who the heck he is!

So true! Izzie loves George - but I don’t think she love-loves him! It’s more a jealousy thing over him marrying Callie, whom he fell for so intensively - much like she did with Denny!

Denny AND the hot bomb squad guy! I literally screamed and fell out of bed!

Loved the scene with Mark and Derek sitting in the hallway.

I was almost crying when they showed Denny! (Did anyone else think he looked HOT!!!!!!! Bomb squad guys great looking too - but Denny just does something for me!

Mark really still cares about Derek - I love that he was able to support him in those tense moments - and I really loved that Derek was accepting of that affection from him! From the looks of the previews he’s going to need that support next week too…

When Meredith woke up and caught her breath in the room w/ Denny and the Bomb guy, did anyone think she was just having a dream and none of this really happened? Maybe I watch too many soap operas, but I really thought that. I hope they don't make the whole story a dream or something like that

Me too!!!!! I totally thought they were Bobby Ewing our butts… Boy would I have been mad if that was the case… At least from how it ended last night it doesn’t appear to be that the route the writers are taking.

I've read a couple of times here that Izzy had given a baby up for adoption. Somehow, I don't remember that? I must of missed something somewhere in the past...so I need help.

What season did we learn this in? Any idea what episode we learned this in? I want to go read up on this storyline. Thanks.

Wow. I don't hate Izzie. I'm not mad at her either. I just think she's upset with George and is trying to get through to him.

What I like about Izzie is that, right now, she’s fighting for George. No one else agrees with her and she’s going about it all wrong but still…she truly believes her best friend is in trouble and she’s fighting to make him see it. I totally see this. Her timing is off - but she can't help it.

I think Meredith will live but...

MOst shows have people come together - fall apart - come together.Meredith and Derek have bene too good to be true lately. They will have to marry them soo - or break them up.

I believe Meredith will wake up/live - but have absolutely no memory of Derek whatsoever.

They cannot just do this - then have her survive and everything goes back to normal.

Let's not forget...wasn't it just an episode or two ago. It is really short...but it seems longer b/c this one day is stretching out to 3 weeks...heck...this about 2-3 hour timeframe (they are still checking the wounded and transporting and such).....is stretching to 3 weeks.

So it seems like she won't quit about it--but it really hasn't been that long.


I think she is being more flaky about it as opposed to deliberately witchy--I would be willing to bet that buds Mer and Christina and Alex would agree...given they didn't like her in the circle at first..then she was accepted...then she was off/on/off/on with George and she slept with Dr. McSteamy.

She's just the one being vocal about it...but not using her words at times that are appropriate.


And let's remember--George can't separate personal from work--he has assumed puppy dog role with his beloved. Understandable..but Callie definitely is having trouble with that.

Just my 2 cents..but then I didn't watch until this afternoon and had..umm...looked at the threads and knew what would happen...so was able to watch it differently.
