I think Mikes dad meant he was one injury away from not being a doctor? But yes, football is even more dangerous.

I took it as his dad saying that if Mike were a dancer and devoted all his time to dancing, he would be one injury away from not having a dancing career with nothing to fall back on.

I think Mike's dad was worried about an injury taking him away from playing football which could affect college acceptances. Football "looked good" on his applications and Glee Club was either neutral or bad.

You are probably right, this makes sense.

Mercedes was singing one of the songs that the character Effie White sings in Dreamgirls. The line about Effie getting fatter was in Dreamgirls. Effie was pregnant.

Yay, thanks. I've never seen Dreamgirls and I didn't know if those were the actual lyrics or if they were changing anything to fit the situation. But now I think it's actually *refreshing* to have someone be queasy and not pregnant!

I'm looking forward to Nov 1st, but a little worried about how they styled Damian. The "sneak" pictures show him in an unflattering hair style and awful green shirts. I also hope they give him songs that actually suit his beautiful baritone/bass voice. "It Ain't Easy Being Green" doesn't seem like a good choice at all! (and he said in an interview that he sang falsetto and it made Kurt jealous--seems like a repeat of the "wrong" songs he was assigned on The Glee Project.")

im a bit of a late joiner....but I'm watching glee for the first time this year lol. Ive only been watching them on hulu.
I can't wait for Damian's first episode. Ive known Damian from Celtic Thunder for like 3 years now and was rooting for him during glee project. I don't like the show name they've given him.....but whatever. Im sure he'll be great

I have not seen last nights show yet.
We recorded it on our DVR as always and when we try and play it , it says we are not authorized to.
Verizon has some new on demand agreement with Fox ... I think I may get to watch it after 24 hours... but I have no idea yet. All I know is that it stinks!!

They post the shows on Hulu after 24 hours- you could watch it there if you can't get the DVR to let you see it...

Please don't hate me, but I'm not liking Damian at all. He seems much harder to understand now than when he was on the Glee Project. I did find Brittany's take on him to be super hilarious, though!
