The Official GLEE thread

This is where I have trouble suspending belief. That announce was, what, the wife of the governor (or was it lt. governor?). Either way, I get that Sue Sylvester is a parody, but some of the things she does and get s away with, bothers the heck out of me.

I agree! She'd be arrested for publicly attacking anyone, especially the wife of a political official. I think sometimes they step over the line with her and make it too ridiculous, like when she tried to steal the toys for the orphaned children. You can't show us how nice she is with her sister or her Cheerio Becky then expect us to believe that she'd steal from children.

Being a big Darren Criss fan, I really liked last night's episode. We waited long enough for it to happen, and it finally did. To me the kiss looked a little awkward, not sure why, but it did. It happened and that's all that matters.

Now this is just my opinion, but I think maybe the reason the kiss looked awkward is because Darren Criss is straight. I know when he was on Ellen he said that he was happy to be playing such a strong character but I can imagine that kissing Chris was still a bit awkward. Again that's just my opinion.

So, no one is talking about the new episode last night??? :confused3

Well, I'll start it off.

I KNEW we were going to see Sunshine (Charice) and the new Vocal Adrenaline coach again! Although his seduction of Holly was a pretty uncomfortable.

Santana is not one of my favorite characters, but I LOVED her smack-down of Karofsky!! :thumbsup2

Will and Emma - hmmm. Sad that Carl left - does that mean no more John Stamos?? :guilty: If so, that was way too short a time for him and his character!!

And is this the last we see of Holly Holiday? I hope so! It just seem that is it not "Glee" anymore - it is "The Gwyneth Show".

As for the songs, the only one I really knew was "Alone Again" that Sunshine sang.

Loved the fact that Brittney is a "Brainiac"!

Looking forward to the 90 minute episode next week! Is this the one when they go to Nationals?

I didn't have a lot to say, I thought last night was pretty darn ho-hum, and the only song I knew also, was All By Myself that Sunshine sang.
The rest of the show was pretty blah.
Let's hope next week is better.

I agree about a bit too much Gwyneth/Holly Holiday. I don't want to lose the character altogether, I just think we need a bit of a break.

Charice's vocal on All By Myself was beautiful, but I'm disappointed it was Celine-style. Just listed to the Eric Carmen version on my Ipod a few days ago & his vocal & that arrangement are much more moving, rather than being some tour de force vocal exercise designed to impress.

I agree....

It was meh.

While I love Adele, I hated the way Gwyneth sang "Turning Tables" last night. I hope people listen to the original and realize how awesome it is!

I did like Sandy and his catchphrase- "You've just been poked... by the Pink Dagger!" Tee hee!

I agree! When I realized she was on this episode I knew it wasn't going to be a favorite of mine. When she asked Will if she could come back for a visit, I screamed "NO!" at the TV. Seriously Gwyneth, don't you have some movies to make or something?

I liked it even though I only knew the one song. I'm pro-Holly, I love her character and I hope she does come back someday. It's nice to see that Emma is finally starting to realize her OCD is not something she can handle on her own and will be getting some help (insert the cool psychiatrist next week). Next week's episode is not Nationals, I would assume that Nationals will be the season finale. Next week should be a good one, 90 minutes instead of 60. I was just reading an article that gave away a few spoilers based on an extra who Tweeted some things (highlight to read):

Kurt is returning to McKinnley and bringing Blaine with him. At prom, Kurt is voted prom queen and Karovsky is voted prom king.

Apparently the producers are furious that she leaked this info.

Now that Holly and Carl left, its back to Will and Emma!
And I can't wait until Kurt comes back, although I do love those Dalton uniforms and Blaine's singing with the rest of the Warblers in the background always made the songs sound unique and amazing!

I agree! I can't stop listening to Teenage Dream :)

Ugh, I hadn't read that spoiler. That was a VERY big spoiler too. Darn. I've read most but I tried to avoid the one the girl leaked because I know it was huge. The girl who leaked that spoiler actually got fired via twitter. It was pretty funny. Brad Falchuck saw the spoiler tweet and said, "Who are are to spoil something talented people have taken months to create?" and a few minutes later he said, "I hope you're qualified to do something besides work in entertainment." To which she then replies, "I wanted to leave Glee anyways." But then she deleted it and left an apologizing tweet. Pretty funny. She had it coming.

Oh and as for the episode last night. Meh. I actually really enjoyed Gwyneth's version of Turning Tables. Of course Adele's is beautiful as well. I felt like Sharice's acting was pretty poor last night, but her song was good. The whole Mercede's being a diva thing was annoying, however the moment in the car with Rachel was really sad/sweet. I also found the OCD flare up with Emma was really sad. Other than that, nothing special.

The last episode was kinda meh. It did not have the same feeling as a lot of others.

I love Gwyneth but am glad she is done for awhile. It was taking too much time away from other characters.

For Kurt/Chris Colfer fans, Chris has been named as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of the year:

And this isn't an idle distinction for someone who currently has the public eye for a role they're playing... the guy has recognized talents beyond what he's doing today:

There's also pictures of the cast filming for the Nationals episode in NYC:

I have a question though, with Kurt returning New Directions will have 13 members:

Rachel
Finn
Puck
Quinn
Brittany
Santana
Tina
Mike Chang
Lauren
Artie
Sam
Mercedes
Kurt

But don't the rules say teams are supposed to be 12 yet all 13 of them are in NYC? Wouldn't you think Lauren would be gone with Kurt's return? I wonder how that'll play out?
