The Official GLEE thread

I liked this weeks episode. I think Gwynth's character is funny, I laugh at most of the things she says. And to whoever said that she can't sing, she may not have a voice that you love but that doesn't mean she can't sing. She definitely sings better than I do. Brittany's pregnancy scare was hysterical, especially the face that Rachel makes, I was dying. :lmao: The sex tape thing was dumb, but I'm starting to like Lauren and Puck together. "Animal" was funny and it was nice to hear Kurt finally singing again. The whole thing between Santana and Brittany is just weird to me. I thought Naya did a great job with Satana's speech to Brittany, I just don't know how believeable Santana being in love with Brittany is. Afternoon Delight was hysterical because of the faces all of them were making. "The Talk" between Burt and Kurt kind of bothered me. The fact that Burt was telling him that all guys have sex without thinking of the emotional side of it really irked me, he has to know that's not true. All-in-all I liked the episode. :)

I thought he was talking about guys in general not necessarily gay guys. :confused3

But gay guys are guys. And Burt mentions how women have emotions connected to sex and how he has some friends who have issues with women getting attached because of the emotions and Kurt says, "But that won't happen to me?" And then Burt goes on to say it will be worse because it's two guys who are just having sex just to have sex. I know that Burt was trying and all, but especially with such a sensitive son he has to know that not all guys fall into that category. It just bothered me. At least he tried, which is what Kurt asked him to do.

Kurt's dad was right on about guys viewing sex differently from women. My probalem was the Kurt ASKED his dad to do some research and be there for him to talk to and then acts all squicked out about it!

Which sounds like a typical teenage reaction to me. Like I said in my previous post, I think Kurt tries to act strong and confident (some for himself and probably a lot for his dad's sake) in reality he's just as lost and confused as the next teenager. I bet part of him was secretly hoping his dad didn't listen to his request so then he wouldn't have to have the awkward conversation.

Kurt did say thanks when he walked away, so I think he did appreciate it, but it was just very uncomfortable. I just adore Burt Hummel he is my favorite character! He makes me cry a lot though.
What I find wierd, is that he and Kurt live with Finn and his mom, yet we never see all 4 of them at home, nor does anyone even really act like it (except Kurts comment about if Finn had Puck sleep over).
The more I think, the more I liked this episode (and I have thought a lot, since so many people are blasting it on the news). Yes, I was uncomfortable through parts of it with my teenage daughter, but overall, I think it gave some really good messages.

You know I was thinking the same thing just this morning. Since the "Furt" episode, where has Finn's mom been? Did Kurt and his dad move into Finn's house or was it vice versa? Maybe Burt and Finn's mom have a marriage like Emma and Carl :lmao:

So what did everyone think of tonight's episode? Personally I liked it, story line it wasn't very interesting (except for Kurt and Blaine finally getting together, so cute! Guess this means we now have our Blurt  ) I loved the original songs (and so glad I didn't listen to them before hand so they were new to me when it aired). I knew New Directions was going to win Regionals (they've said they've filmed stuff in NYC which means they'd have to be at Nationals) but it was still exciting for them to win.

Loved the episode tonight. SO happy for Kurt and Blaine, and I loved "Loser Like Me".

I'm tired of this deep romantic competition between Rachel, Finn and Quinn. It's boring.
The Puck/Lauren thing is pretty yawn as well. And Brittany...riiight. She's the sexiest dancer on the show but she has no idea where babies come from?

Finns Mom is in Utah, running a boot camp type school for wayward kids.

Sorry, couldn't help it. The actress popped up on Big Love Sunday night.

Grr. My DVR cut off the end of the episode. Sigh. Anything interesting happen after they won?

Last night's episode was great. I loved the original songs they did at regionals, especially "Loser Like Me".

I am so happy that Kurt and Blaine are finally together. Hopefully we will see great things from them when the show returns next month.

How come Finn refuses to forgive Rachel for "cheating on him" by just kissing Puck, but has no problem forgiving Quinn for cheating on him by SLEEPING WITH PUCK and getting knocked up???

No sense.

However, the show requires us to suspend a LOT of disbelief.

Honestly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer required me to suspend less belief than this show.

At least the character development in that show was thoughtful and realistic, even if it did include vampires! This show changes the storyline and characters just to fit in with whatever song they got the rights to that week. Seriously, one episode Blaine maybe isn't gay, then suddenly Santana is in love with Britney...it's like every episode, a character goes through this HUGE thing and then it's forgotten by the next episode. I was a really, really big fan of this show when it began but it's just not holding my attention anymore. I think I'm done... :(

I liked Quinn with Sam, she's a witch now. But on the cheating part, maybe it's different because Rachel did it for the sole purpose of hurting him and Quinn "just cheated". :confused3
