The Official GLEE thread

Brittney is by far the hidden gem of the show. I would love to hear her "story". We seem to have gotten a show focusing on many of the others. Britt's comments, and facial expressions are hilarious!! The backwards uniform??? OMG I was howling. Also I think Mike/Matt (other asian guy) is too adorable and definitely one of the liveliest performers. They should expand his role a bit. Watching him do "Turn this Mother Out" was great!

I do NOT understand why Jessie is being so mean to Rachel. The writers dropped the ball in that regards. I know he was angry about being "used" for the music video and ultimately the writers needed him back on Vocal Adrenaline but I fell they haven't really given him reason enough to EGG her and to be outright mean.

Also, Finn and Puck get threatened with suspension for slashing tires but Vocal Adrenaline can ASSAULT Rachel and get away with it????

I didn't get that either. Yes he was mad at Rachel, but then after that he came back to Rachel, and told Shelby he actually really liked her. He didn't really looked like he was enjoying watching her getting egged, yet he did it anyway. I didn't understand. Just when I was starting to like the guy, after thinking he was a creep before. He is GOOD though, I love listening to Highway to Hell, it's fantastic!

Totally agree that the ball has been dropped on that storyline.
Honestly, the creator is friends with the guy who plays Jesse and created the role for him. I think they're reluctant to admit that the character has run it's course.

I took it that Jesse had to get his credibility back w/ Vocal Adrenaline. I thought they were forcing him into it to prove where his loyalties lie.

Yeah but the 'I loved you' line was total crap...I loved you but I dumped you because of a stupid video? come on....

The show needs to tread carefully. It's a super gimmicky show and can easily turn silly. It's daning close to that line sometimes. The writers need to try harder, not just rely on flashy production numbers to keep viewers.

I agree w/ you. Initially I feared Sue Sylvester might be the first to fall victim to this, w/ the over the top Snidely Whiplash writing for her. Then the writers sneak in things like her interplay w/ Becky, some of her Kurt interactions, Mercedes, Quinn, then the topper of all toppers, her sister. Her last visit to her sister was one of the most genuinely heartfelt and tender moments I've ever seen on the screen.

Everybody gets all hyped up for the songs & production numbers, but it's the little things on this show that propel it further & further for me. Kurt, Puck, Mercedes, Finn, Artie, Brittany & many others have had moments on this show you just don't see coming -- sometimes tender, sometimes fall off your chair funny. If they can sustain these talents & find ways to showcase everyone in turn w/o simply relying on what has become the cashcow for everything, the songs, I think this show has the power to sustain its success for a while.

LOL I'm trying NOT to read this thread because I'm still several episodes behind. I tend to watch them a few weeks after they've aired. LOVE Hulu.com!

I do have a Glee question and hope someone here might be able to answer it. A few minutes ago I caught the Dream On episode (OMG that was great!) and am wondering if anyone knows who the Les Mis director is? He was also in The Princess Diaries and I don't think his name is listed in the cast of either Diaries or Glee.

The reason I'm asking is because I am almost positive he was a street performer at MGM the year it opened. I also recall seeing him on tv riding on a float in one of the televised Disney Christmas Parades.

He's a big guy if this helps you know which man I'm talking about.
So....does anyone know his name and whether he was at one point working at MGM

I'm loving this episode! It's too bad it's the end of the season! :(

Poor guys....somehow I think Sue is going to make sure that the club doesn't get disbanded (just that look on her face when talking to the other judges....)

One of my favorite episodes. I didn't expect Idina keeping the baby at all. How sweet, and hopefully it means she will have a recurrent role in the show.
The songs were perfect both during Regionals and after.

Can't wait for next season!

LOVED this episode.

My favourite of the season! I have to admit I teared up a little!

I was totally Gleek a fied tonite! "To Sir with Love" AND "Somewhere over the Rainbow" WAY COOL!!!!!!!! Totally cried...:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Ok, did I miss something???
I didn't think that Rachel knew that Idina was her mom....but the way that they were talking, it seemed like she knew! (when she was saying I have missed so much, including watching you grow up...)
Huh?

that was Paul Vogt - he has a twin brother, Peter. They were both in Princess Diaries. You can look them up at IMDB.com to see which twin did what. According to their IMDB bios - they both worked at WDW doing Streetmosphere! You are right!!!:)
