The Official GLEE thread

I hate to sound like I'm splitting hairs but Karofsky attempted suicide but wasn't successful. The producers said they wouldn't let him kill himself, but I guess attempting it and not having it work was not out of the question.

.

Split all the hairs you want, but I'm still claiming that one in the "I called it first" category. :lmao:

I found myself actually tearing up when he was in the hospital with Kurt. It was a very touching scene. And while I'm riding high on the "told ya so" wagon, I think David is going to return to McKinley and join the Glee club...or possibly Dalton Academy. AND I think he's going to either date that D-bag Sebastian who has turned a new leaf OR Blane and Kurt may break up and then he'll date Kurt.

We'll see.

I just wish they didn't all look like they are 30 years old :upsidedow

Definitely, but if they were age appropriate, we might have a bunch of Justin Bieber types - LOL!!

Remember the cast of Grease? I bet Stockard Channing was in her 30's when that movie was made. Probably a few of the other ones were, too. Having said that, I still really enjoyed that movie.

I agree about the age. That is another thing I like about Damian--he just turned 19 a few months ago, but looks a little younger.

You're right about Stockard Channing. She was 33 when she did Grease in 1978.

Most of the Grease cast was in their late 20s to early 30s. The youngest stars were Dinah Manoff (Marty), 20, and John Travolta (Danny), 24.

Some of the Glee kids are getting a bit old to try to pass as high schoolers- Mr Schu looks younger than a few of his students!! :rotfl:

i really miss when Glee was mostly campy, good fun. i know they've always tackled harder issues, but it seems that lately, they've been more heavy-handed about it. it's become an after-school special with a few songs thrown into the mix.

the plot lines are so much more obvious. you know what's going to happen next.

ITA....I used to never miss an episode, but now just will catch it if nothing else is on.

I'd be happy with 30 :lmao: I said to my daughter last night that David looks like he's in his 40's!! Puck looks like a 35 year old too!

Max Adler is 26 and Mark Salling is 29. :)

I spent most of my viewing time yelling at the TV....oh noooooooooo!

What an episode!

But the storylines almost eclisped the music for me, I was so shocked about David's attempt that I had trouble concentrating on Regionals.

And I am sick of the making fun of the Catholic school's choice of music.

On the show? I only noticed them exchanging glances, which I didn't take as making fun as much as "hey, this is a bit out of place." Then they were talking about how good the group was. I guess I need to rewatch.

Does anyone else think Sue is not pregnant? When she sat a regionals listening to the Trouble Tones sing "Stronger" she looked like she was having a moment and that song was about being okay with being by yourself. I don't know, I'm probably wrong but I just got a weird sense while watching the episode.

I feel like the end could have gone either way really. It was almost as if they wanted the viewer to think, "Are they really going to have both these incidents in one episode?" I know I was holding my breath waiting to see if they were actually going to have Quinn get hit. I hope she makes it.

I was not all that impressed with the music choices in the last episode. Most of them were just blah. I did like "Stronger" though.

I was shocked when Karofsky tried to kill himself. I did not see that one coming at all. I am glad they let him survive and his scene with Kurt at the end was perfect.

I did however see the Quinn car accident coming as soon as Rachel said that Quinn had gone home to get her bridesmaids dress. I am hoping she will be okay but I have a feeling that something really bad is going to happen.

I guess what I mean is having them be different then the other groups. Like a stereotype. Catholic schools are not all uptight and sing weird songs or dress in weird costumes. They perform secular stuff as well. And I do agree with you that they did say they were good later. I think is is strange that the Warblers perform in their jackets...which to me seems like a uniform, you would think they would perform in something else.

It's my guess that her comment about how she had hard times and never thought of suicide was a set up for her ending up in a wheelchair, after which she gets horribly depressed and contemplates suicide. Artie and Kurt will serenade her and all will be well.

We were talking about the episode last night and when I mentioned that several things in the episode seemed almost as if they might not have actually happened, DH & DD's stopped, thought about it & said they didn't realize it, but kind of fit with some things they had been feeling about the show. Sue's stuff in particular was very surreal, as well as much of Quinn's story AND Sebastian's abrupt coming to Jesus so to say. I don't think all is as it appeared this week.

Maybe...MAYBE somebody is already IN a coma and that episode was all a dream! Or happening in the mind of an autistic kid...Very St. Elsewhere.

There's lot's of possible ways what we've seen may not have happened. Don't forget, we also have the announcement that producers have come up with a really amazing way to keep Rachel, Finn & Kurt a part of things next season. We're all expecting this season to play out as season's past -- equating to a school year at McKinley. Maybe this season broke the mold.

One thing in particular that stood out for me in the episode was Sue's presentation to Quinn of her Cheerio's uniform, in the lovely red box with the brass plaque w/ her name on it.

Completely unrealistic. Except in the realm of Sue Sylvester. Nothing is apparently too much for her Cheerio's budget, so we can easily shrug it off.

A reflective, quiet, happy and bittersweet Sue? Did Quinn ask for her spot back? Probably. Did Sue turn her down? Yes. Did Sue have the change of heart, call her back in, tell her she admired her & present her that box? I don't think it was Quinn's hands that box was placed in.
