and for the record, I love Mrs. Kim! (because she's not my mom of course) Did we ever resolve the MR. Kim issue? what happened to him?

I love Mrs. Kim, too. I loved Lane last night talking about her "Korean voodoo."

Poor Mr. Kim. I remember in the early episodes they referred to him like he was still around but we never saw him. (Remember Lane's ginormous suitcase when they sent her to visit family in Korea?) But then it was just like he never existed.

I love this show, but I have to be honest I'm getting tired of Lorelai ... she seems to be the only person not "evolving"... she gets MORE whiney as time goes on. I happened to turn to a channel playing old re-runs and it was season 1-3 not sure which, and she actually had a moment where her mouth wasn't running non-stop - and I got a sense that there is actually a "feeling-thoughtful" person in there. After all these season's she STILL doesn't get Emily - and yet Rory does... HELLO? We know Rory is smart - but does it bug anyone else? Frankly, I'd rather NOT her with LUKE he's too good for her.

I hope Rory moves on to someone else, Logan is boring to me... and doesn't have 1/2 the intelligence or caring nature she does. But I will say, his character seems to be developing down a better road. So it will be interesting to see.

There for awhile this season I was really thinking Lor should be with Chris. But, now that they're married and he's in the house, it just doesn't seem to fit. It feels akward him being there. Luke fit in better there. He's always been there - bringing ice for Rory's birthday party, fixing things around th house. I think I'm a L & L person.

I think it was pretty telling that Lorelai was afraid Rory would talk her out of marriage with Chris. Seriously, if you know you can be talked out of marriage that easily, perhaps you should wait. I was a single mom, too, and I cannot IMAGINE getting married without my kid there. She would be so hurt.

And what the heck is up with Chris immediately dismantling Rory's room for Gigi? How insensitive is that? I don't care if she IS away at college--that's been her room all her life and suddenly he's going to basically kick her out?

I've never been a big Christopher fan and I liked him even less in this episode.

Okay, I figured it out. I don't dislike Chris or Luke. I dislike LORELAI!!! She's the one who's been driving me nuts and making the show almost unwatchable for me. It's like this new writer doesn't understand the concept of nuance, so he just tells her to talk as fast as she can about whatever. I almost preferred her last year when she didn't say anything while Luke acted like an ***.

Yes I apologize I haven't read the entire thread yet... but I agree - with a bunch of you that wrote above, Chris just doesn't "feel" right, if the marriage had happened a few years ago, I would have been onboard, but then Lor fell in love with Luke... funny how she falls in and out of love so fast... ARRGHH

HEY if she doesn't want LUKE I'll take him, even with him getting involved with April and putting Lor on the back seat - I WOULD HAVE WAITED!!!! A guy like that doesn't come along, INTEGRITY, LOOKS, SMARTS, and he's SETTLED! Gotta love the man... ahhhhh big sigh.

I'm one of the few -- but I do like Lor with Chris, and Rory with Logan. The relationships seems more realistic. I don't like the dialogue as much this season though. I think the change in writers is pretty obvious.

I totally agree with this. She just should have been more up front and open with him instead of the cut out Lorelei.

I especially love when Rory has to explain her mother's behavior as being childish. Although she doesn't actually say that - I think it's funny. Maybe they should have CHRIS & LUKE dis Lor!!!! That would be funny. Suki (spelled the way I think it should be spelled!!!) really kinda "told her off" in that regard. And I love the fact that Lor now realizes that she would and could have been talked out of it.

It will still be interesting to see what happens tomorrow (even though i read the spoiler!!!) Couldn't help myself.

Umm...Dean & Tristan, Dean & Jess, Luke & Chris, Logan & Jess....those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head!
