The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

I haven't decided what I thought of the finale. I am still annoyed with Luke, but I don't like how they had Lorelai run back to Christopher yet again (remember her bachelorette party w/Max?).

Why did Rory lie to Lorelai about her plans with Logan for his last night in the U.S.? Can't figure that one out.

I am currently rewatching the show on the KTLA satellite feed. Maybe it will go over better after watching it again.

What did she say her plans were? I missed that part, my aunt called me right then.

She said something about going to a tacky Italian restaurant. I didn't hear her say anything about a surprise party.

Also, everyone who knows me knows not to call on Tuesdays from 8-9 p.m.! :teeth:

I enjoyed the finale. I hate finales we have to wait forever to know what happened.

I like lorelai and christopher much better together then her and luke. They seem to have actual chemistry.

I like rory and logan together too I wonder if he will actually end up going for the year or if he will decide to not go. I guess we'll find out next season.

It was good can't wait for next season!

I have always thought I wanted Lorelai with Luke - but after the last few weeks, I just don't feel it anymore

Chris just seems to get her better and they just have a much better chemistry.

Luke really blew this one - Lorelai was so right when she said - Aprill has to fit into our lives and not the other way around -

I can see where Luke was totally blown away by her at that moment - but he let her walk away - that is always the worst thing to do - he should have found some way to make her stay!!

Man, ASP & DP certainly left behind a mess to clean up next year!

This didn't feel like a season finale- nothing happened until the last 10 minutes or so!

I miss back when this was a fun, happy show!

At the end of the show, I looked away for a moment - did someone get into bed with Lorelai?

I wasn't happy about the final episode at all.

I did like Rory's part, and the discussion with mitchm and that logan said if she came to the airport he wouldn't leave. at least he said goodbye to her!!!

I thought the dinner was a hoot at the gilmores!!! the set up was FUNNY!!!! and then the session in the car... who was that woman again??? a friend of the family??? and emily didn't see them in the driveway???

and luke.... well I have been disapointed in his character since the advent of april.... he just hasn't been his usually grumpy self.

Even though I wasn't really happy with the episode as a whole I have to say this is probably the first episode all season that I actually laughed out loud in some parts! The part where they're all discussing the font on Rory's building was hilarious!

Did anyone else think that the Rory-Logan story was sort of anti-climactic? I mean, there was a goodbye and all but I didn't really feel like I cared that he was leaving.

Okay, my thoughts (I know you all have been on pins and needles waiting for them! ;) )

One: Rory and Logan: kinda yawn. And why weren't Paris and Doyle invited? Bummer no Lane in the finale either. Did like the Mitchum scene though.

Two: Lorelai/Luke/Christopher: I liked the storyline. It felt real. She just reached her breaking point and IMHO, Luke should have seen it coming. This should not have been a surprise to him. That is, it shouldn't have been if he'd pulled his head out of his ***. I was not surprised at the last scene at all...it'll be interesting to see how that goes next season.

Okay, NOW...my prediction for next season...ready?

Lorelai discovers she is pregnant. Foreshadowed by the talk in the car when she says she wants another kid. Discuss...

Oh, and I just had to add...the scene where Logan leaves...

That girl has some great "blessings". Watching that scene I sighed in envy.

Yes, I was wondering what you were thinking...

and I agree with the boring rory and logan thing..... BTW... where does Rory get all her money to throw these huge parties????

and the pregnant part, I was thinking but didn't want to push the envelope.... maybe emily and rich will get christopher as a son in law after all????

UH..... is he "paying" her to stay at his place for the year???

But I like logan (in general, I think hes a bit cocky but it goes with his character) I just thought he would have stood up to his father a little more, at least for a "show" so rory would know he was going to miss her.... just my thought.

I meant "blessings" as in...her womanly blessings...her...um...well...she filled out those pj's nicely.

And yeah, he said he paid for the apartment for the year...they had to cover that plot point so next year we wouldn't all be going, "Hey...Logan's gone...how come she's still living there??" :teeth:

Ok, my 2 cents...I can't believe I am saying this but I..ahem...actually...ahem...kinda...ahem...like Logan now :rolleyes1

I agree with the previous poster who said this whole season was like watching a train wreck. Um, did we not know Lorelai was going to end up in Christopher's bed?!? Every time she has a "problem" they end up in bed. Although I like his character I don't like his character with Lorelai.

Luke is an *** and he needed to be told off by Lorelai but we know he wasn't going to go after her. ASP & DP wouldn't make it that easy.

Sure can't wait to see how the poor writer taking over tries to "fix" this show...just my opinion. ;)

I am bummed because after the next few days, this thread will fade away until next season. :(

Anyway, just wanted to say that I love talking to all you guys and I hope we're all still here to complain about next season too when it starts back up! :teeth: ;)

Logan really loves Rory!

C'mon, Mal...you know I'll pull it back up for spoilers...

I was happy with the ending...I LOVE Christopher and Lorelai together! I think they have a really deep connection that they don't even really understand or acknowledge. They were meant to be together!

I absolute adore Logan.

Well, I hated it. I just hated to see Lorelai end up in bed with Christopher. WTH? Your current boyfriend doesn't want to elope with you right this minute so you run over and sleep with an old boyfriend? I really hate her and Christopher together which is why I think it made me so angry. I understand that she's upset with Luke and unhappy but jeez...show a little restraint, woman. She didn't look that happy after sleeping with Chris either.

I did like the scenes with Rory and Logan. Okay, I'll admit I'm a sap and I cried when she was waving goodbye to him. :teeth: I do like Logan but I'm glad she's encouraging him to go--he does need to get away from Colin and Finn and grow up before I'll think he's truly deserving of a wonderful girl like Rory.

Oh, and I was :lmao: at you with that "blessings" statement, Mal.
