The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

A few pages back someone predicted that Paris would be broke and need Rory's help-- possibly moving in--- Looks as if it might be headed in that direction huh!!

I thought this episode was the best this season. Emily was super and cool too!!! Of course everything Rory does turns out great, and Emily was SOOO happy it did ( someone made the comment of a little Emily :rolleyes2 ) She has just got to have a lot of dirt on the mrs huntsberger-- GR8!!!

I too was wondering what Richard was thinking as he was watching Rory on stage, but maybe he was just realizing what he had done to her by taking her in and not insiting she go back to Yale. :sad2:

I LOVED the Luke and Lor stuff this episode, I feel that they needed to have a conversation like that-- but I did enjoy seeing Luke at all of Lor's stuff-- it was kinda funny, and he never complained!!!! :love1: ( I LOVE LUKE!!!!)

KIRK was Hilarious too--- Ms Patty is a riot, DH-- who says he hates the show but watches with me-- Was rolling on the floor at Kirk's performance!!! :rotfl2:

As far as next weeks episode and the teaser at the end of tuesdays episode--I wonder if they found out that Rory is sleeping with Logan and that is why they are snooping around the pool house?? When Richard shows up at Lor's house that will be great-- a little crow eating, but great.

Can't wait until next week. :hourglass
Looks like its finally gettting Good again!!! :wave2:

I think Richard finally got it. Rory was crushed by those people and allowed it to happen and she is turning into something else because of it.

This I think was an important episode in the scheme of things (okay the Gilmore World scheme of things)

It still bugs the heck out of me that Em and Rich didn't believe Lorelai. They had to have it proved to them. Regardless of their past history with her, have they ever seen her do anything that wasn't in Rory's best interest? I just don't get it.

I noticed that too! When really, she is a little Lorelai. Isn't event planning something we've seen Lorelai do over & over, and do well? I thought that was funny. They are all more alike than they think.

Thats what I was thinking!!!

You know what I noticed last night, though? There isn't a lot of physical affection between Luke & Lorelai. For example, when they were talking in the diner and he decided to go back and camp after all, she just said bye and left -- my ds and I both looked up and said, "What, no kiss goodbye?" :confused3

And Sookie & Jackson -- boy, have I seen that type of parenting before!! The whole thing with Davy was just EXACTLY like an evening at my best friend's house. The best part, though, was when my b.f. called after the show saying, "Can you believe Sookie and Jackson? They sure need some parenting classes!" :rolleyes1 I bit my tongue so hard, it about bled!!! LOL

DH made the comment too about them not kissing (and he says he doesn't watch it with me :rotfl2: )

And during dinner with Sookie and Jackson, I was thinking Nanny 911 will have a show to merge with soon!!!!

I was thinking the exact same thing!! When Lorelei left to go back to the dance recital, she didn't kiss him goodbye. I was like "what??" No kiss goodbye, hug, nothing??! They never show them holding hands, kissing, nothing. All they ever show is 'the morning after' when they are laying in bed. Apart. Never cuddling or wrapped in each others arms or anything.
There is no sparks.

I have noticed the lack of affection before last night even. I can't decide of the writers are doing it purposely or if we are over analyzing.

We filmed next weeks episode a few weeks ago. My son has a small non-speaking part in a scene in Luke's diner. The kids had a blast filming it as they got to 'play' and throw paper at another child in the 'urn' You will find our more about that next week. The case was great and we had a blast.
I am trying to catch up on this show as I used to watch it but haven't for several years.

What does he look like? I will watch for him!

Didn't we read somewhere that they don't get along in real life? Maybe they have that onscreen chemistry and affection towards each other because of that? :confused3

Oh my goodness, I was thinking the same thing! Then I thought maybe I'm just a mush... :love2:

I just started watching again. I like Luke and Lorelia together. Certain characters/actors just mesh. They do. They have from the first season I watched. The writers seem to make them appear distant with each other. It's a shame because they could do sooo much more with them. Even if the actors don't get along in real life they should make the effort because they receive a huge paycheck. If I hated someone but got paid what they did I swoon all over them.

I also want to see more of Luke and Lorelai as a couple. I would love to see more romance. I don't want Lor to freak out again. I think that once she and Rory are tight again, she will be able to relax with Luke and I can't wait to see them plan their wedding. As for Rory, I don't mind Logan but I would like to see her following her dreams again. All those years of dreaming of Harvard and then letting education go doesn't seem realistic. Go back to school! :cheer2:

ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT The Last SHOW is:
KIRK IS A FREAK :crazy2:
&
GO EMILY!!:rotfl: :dancer: :thewave:

My sister & I said the same exact thing!!! :scratchin
I think the writers are hinting things aren't going to work btw. them. I even had a dream that they broke up!
Why can't they just be together, everyone wants it but the actors.

Ok, one thing was really bugging me at the beginning of the show last night. Why the heck is a British woman in the DAR? It kind of took my attention away because I was envisioning different scenarios to account for it--did her ancestors immigrate BACK to England after fighting for the American side in the Revolutionary War? Then she immigrated back again? My mind is too weird sometimes. :teeth:

And I also thought it was weird that Lorelai & Luke didn't kiss goodbye after their conversation in the diner. It just seemed like they should.

Kirk was hysterical and I loved Lorelai & Sookie freaking out about the kids in the audience throwing glitter. :rotfl:

And Emily was at her finest taking Mrs. H down a peg. Did anyone else notice that Richard seemed a bit freaked out that Rory is acting like her grandmother with all the planning stuff and wouldn't have a conversation with him about what she'd been reading? I think he sees her acting more like Emily and less like her self and didn't care for it--particularly since he was going on and on earlier about everything she'd read.
