No, I found it quite boring as well---they made the preview last week look so exciting. Who cares about street names--"Sores and Boil Alley" what genius writer thought that one up!

How lame was it that we watched the entire episode and the last 10 seconds had Richard at the door asking Lor to talk about Rory??

I am so freaking jazzed right now. I just finished watching the ep. We were in LA on 9/26 and did the WB studio tour and got to see them filming a GG scene. It was on tonight's show. It was the scene in the town square where Kirk was in the booth and Lor found out that the Dragonfly wasn't on the map. It was so cool to see it live then on tv, only what? 3 weeks later? [/fangirl gushing rant :lol: ]

I'm going to rant a bit here....sorry please bear with me!!
You know how a little kid feels when their day just isn't going right and they just want to break all of their crayons...well that's me! I'm so ticked about this episode I want to break all my crayons even the periwinkle blue one

I am just getting so fed up with what direction they have decided to take the show this season---it is as if they have all new writers in there who have never even seen a past episode to know about story lines, characters, etc.

I was so disappointed to see Richard at the door at the very end of the episode...I was desperately wanting to see him tell Lorelei all he had learned at the DAR party.

In last week's preview it showed Emily and Richard going into what appeared to be Rory's bedroom..so I naturally assumed(and yes, I know what they say about assuming )that they would catch Logan and Rory together but no, it was all over that stupid purse!!!

I hate how they make it like something is really going to happen in the next episode and then it is lame----still wondering what was up with Rory's makeup as she sat on the couch with Emily I could put makeup on better with my eyes closed.......................
Okay--I think I'm done now...(as I slowly pick myself up off the floor, dust myself off and start taping my crayons back together for my next tantrum!)

Well I missed it last night due to a family emergency and was bummed that I didn't get to tape it, but it sounds like I didn't miss much.

What were Em and Rich looking for in the pool house?? and what was kirk doing??

Em and Rich weren't looking for anything...they were just snooping in general. Rich has started to wonder what Rory's up to...so Em took him to the pool house to look around. They didn't find anything.

Kirk was involved in the whole "making Stars Hollow historical" thing...he alternated between being a revolutionary war person, a tour map seller, and a negotiator for Taylor about new street names.

Other than that, the inn is now on "Sores and Boils Alley", Rory told Logan she loved him, Logan got scared that Rich wants Logan and Rory to get married, and Logan bought Rory a truly hideous purse that is apparently the end all be all of purses (something called a "Burkin Bag"??).

As an aside, does anyone know do those purses really exist, or did they just make them up?

I'll add just a little more. From last weeks previews, you hear Emily saying oh no Richard look what I found.....we'll it's the famous purse! They made it out like it was going to be drugs or signs that she was sleeping with Logan....nope it was a purse.

Apparently those purses do exist and are "all that" because there was a Law and Order episode about them and someone killing over them.

Jeez E Pete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just googled "Birkin Bag" and you know what one goes for???????????????? About $7500!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's not all...you couldn't buy one even if you had the cash...there's a waiting list for the waiting list.

They're made by Hermes. Good grief.

He bought her a $7500 purse??? No wonder Emily was so impressed.

The birkin bag can go for as much as 30-40K depending on what it is made of ie: croc, ostrich etc.... They are made by Hermes.

I looked on eBay last night and the exact one that Logan gave Rory is on there -- $11,500.00 My Coach bags don't seem so expensive anymore, LOL!!!

I also hated that we had to wait 'til the very end for Richard to show up, but I was so glad he had Lorelai's dollhouse with him.

I agree that last night's episode was bo-ring, but hopefully next week's will be much better!!!

(And at least Luke kissed Lorelai goodbye when she left the diner this time -- even if it was only a peck on the cheek. )

This season seems to be very dry. They save all the juicy stuff for the last 30 seconds of the show. They need to fill the other 59 minutes and 30 seconds will something better than "sores and boils" I live for this show but I am very disappoined in this season. Hopefully at Rory's party they'll start to make up but I have a feeling they're going to drag it on. And for G-d's sake! Show some romance btw. Luke & lorelai!!!!

Wow...it's hysterical that last night's ep was so boring none of us have very much to say about it. At least we were all irritated at last week's ep! Now we've devolved into boredom. All I can say is, she better have one heck of a b-day party next week.
