The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

I liked last nights episode too..so glad Rory turned Logan down...he is just another dime a dozen guy....Rich, intelligent...doesn't want the relationship just the sex and control...I mean the nerve of him wanting Rory to leave with him....and of course he'd been drinking too so his judgement was impaired.
Maybe Dean wasn't her intellectual equal but at least he knew how to treat a girl with respect.

Must be the Mom in me talking! lol Holycow

I think that they are playing Logan out like others have said, to be a pretty, rich boy who gets and does what he wants. But, the interesting thing (and why I really like the character) is that he is really falling for her, and he is trying to fight that to protect his image. Each week, something else gives with him. This week, it was the casual "friends with benefits" thing. He didn't like that Rory was there with another guy, and he hated that he was so jealous. I really like the character, and I think that the writers are doing a great job of developing him.

Also, I think that part of Lorelei's problem with the Rory/Logan thing is that she knows the whole rich boy thing, because that is what she grew up around. She doesn't want Rory to get so caught up in the world she shuns, and get hurt if Logan moves on.

Great episode though. Loved the Quentin Tarantino party theme (though I can't imagine that the Gilmore Girls demographic is are big Tarantino fans) and Kirk cracks me up. And telling Emily to "shut up" was classic.

I read somewhere Luke and Lorali don't get along in real life, I swear I saw her give him a dirty look, I think it was in the scene where she was putting her number of speed dial.

I was watching the reruns on ABC Family a few weeks ago and I noticed something. The actor that plays Kirk plays the guy that wants to install the DSL line in the first episode. He also plays a few extra parts and then all of a sudden, he became a regular named Kirk. No explanation or anything. Cracked me up a bit.

::yes:: I agree. They've done such a great job with Logan's character and I hope they continue to do so. I'm looking forward to seeing where their relationship is going. Especially since it seems Logan just keeps falling deeper and deeper. I love it

I think the writers want to make viewers dislike logan, but later on they want to develop him more in depth and show he really does like Rori and then everyone will love him!

Emily: I need the hatrack

Loralie: the fish flys at night

Emily: what?

Loralie: I don't know who is this?

How To Be A Gilmore Girl

Eat like a Gilmore:

When ordering take-out, be sure to order enough food to feed a small country.

When ordering chinese food, order the Gilmore Special: anything on the menu that is chicken.

Talk like a Gilmore:

When conversing with family members, friends, neighbors (really, when conversing with ANYONE) be sure that you are very sarcastic (funny, not rude) and perhaps throw in an old movie/acter/comedian refrence.

Work like a Gilmore:

Option A: Rory

Study, study, study. Turn that frown upside down...or at least fake it.

Option B: Lorelai

Start from the bottom and then work your way up. Hope that your place of employment burns down, and then start your own business.

Dress like a Gilmore

Option A: Rory

Piece together a lovely ensemble of jeans and a sweater. For that retro look, find a school girl uniform

Option B: Lorelai

Business casual. Never casual casual (unless you throw your alarm clock against a wall and it turns off, leaving you to sleep in late, and having no time to pick up your nice clothes from the dry cleaners) and never business business (unless your mother and/or father is coming to visit you and they insist on you wearing a jacket).

yeah, I would love to eat like a Gilmore girl if I had either one of their figures!
and that just ain't goin' to happen here! lol

Did you see the episode for Christmas where she takes the bag of lettuce and pours the dressing inside of it!....Cracked me up!

Someone take pity on an addict...a Gilmore Girls addict, that is!!! ;)
I broke down and bought the first season of the GG...and I have to say-this show is like a drug! I just want more! Does anyone out there have the second season that they wouldn't mind me borrowing??!! I SO wish I had cable and could, at least, enjoy the reruns. *sigh*

Do you think Blockbuster would rent them??

I tell you...I'm desperate! I love this show!
IVY

Blockbuster has them, but they rent each disc seperately, so unless you have the unlimted rentals for 14.99 plan, it probably would be cheaper to by the box set! If you belong to Netflix, they have them too. Try ebay, they have them.

Season 3 comes out in May!! :Pinkbounc

Thanks for posting that. The new TV Guide also has Luke and Lorelai on the front and a big article about the show...not all good :confused3
