GH opens with sir nicky on plane calling Court. He say's watcha doin, she say's that they are going to a party when he gets home, and to "get ready to put your tux on"...can't wait to see you...
Cut to Quartermaine mansion. They are all dudded up and waiting on their party guests, none of whom have shown up yet. Edward is worried about canapes..they say should we put some music on...Monica says classical, Emily says how about something more upbeat...Ned says "let's argue about it, that's always an icebreaker in this house"...doorbell rings and it's a limo driver for one of the invited families, sending their regrets. They ask Alice who else besides these people have RSVP'd, she says nobody. Luke say's "Canapy's anyone"
Here's Sam, locking the door, telling Jason that the world doesn't exist it's just them, knock at door and it's Carly saying that she knows they are in there, and wants Jason to tell her to her face why he is not coming to her party......cut to Opening Credits and Music....
Back to Sam/Jason/Carly...You're my best friend, you have to be there...Jason: you know I hate parties, you'll be fine....Sam: You know you hate me, we are staying here by ourselves, you have Sonny..Carly: I didn't invite him..Jason: that's because she wants us to. Carly blathers on and then runs out door. Jason: She knows I hate parties. Sam: But she got to you didn't she??
Cut back to Quartermaines: They are all saying that they can't believe no one is coming to the party...what could everyone have against us to not come. Everyone starts pointing the finger at Luke. Alan says he has 17 complaints against Luke from people at the Country Club. While they are arguing and blaming Luke, Rick Springfield shows up.
Cut to the Diner: Mike, Luckey and Liz: Luckey is thanking Mike for letting the teens have a New Year party there. Maxie finds letter that her sister is writing to Diego and shows it to Dillon. Georgie asks Lucas if he is bringing anyone special and he says no, because he doesn't want anyone to know he is gay.
Court all dressed up, knock on door runs smiling thinking it's Nick, but it's Jax. She says she was indeed expecting someone else. He say's I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think he's gonna make it.
COMMERCIAL
She's on phone saying that all flights to PC has been diverted. He say's that he's not trying to gloat, but he wants to invite her to 2 parties, one the Q's, and Carly's. She says that she is not going to go, she's not spending NY's with him.
Back to Kelley's: Liz/Luckey say goodbye and happy NY, and that new young cop, sorry I can't think of his name is standing out in the snow, and Maxie comes out and say's watcha doing, he say's he's never been a big fan of NY's, she say's why not...cut back inside to Georgie/Dillon who are fighting over the letter...Dillon: He's playing on your sympathies, you said that you would forget about him...you threw the letter away in front of me..Georgie: I went back and got it. I'm just trying to help him...Dill: he's using you....fight escalades as Dillon is really upset. Lucas steps in...Dill: Why am I not surprised to see you here taking up for Georgie, you've been trying to hook up with her for weeks now. Lucas: Actually that's the last thing I would try to do.
Back to Q's: Springfield is saying how he would like to take this opportunity to meet some patrons of the hospital..Luke: Well, that's not gonna happen, haven't you noticed you are the only guest at this soiree"..Monica: It's still early...Luke: Nobody's coming Dr. Drake, this family has been snubbed by polite society because of me...I say we take action...Edward: Why don't we throw you out...Luke says let's go to Carly's party....no one wants to, Luke looks at Tracy, Luke says: Spankybuns??? She also says no. Skye say's she'll go. He looks at Springfield, "I've got my date, should we go snare you one" Drake says he doesn't think he can. "Luke sure you can this isn't a party this is a funeral, these people are going to see the new year in with a glass of warm milk and a sedative, does that sound like fun to you,...well of course it doesn't, let's go see how the living celebrate...Happy NY ya'll"
Jason: Max I want you to give Sonny a message...get a pen...tell him that Carly is having a party at the Metrocourt tonite but is too stubborn to ask him yourself....Sam: You know that is exactly what she wanted you to do...
