Love the idea of Lulu killing off Helena..and bringing back Scotty Baldwin..to good to be true! :thumbsup2

I loved watching the wedding, I missed it first go round as I was working and I don't even know if we had a VCR back then or not! Back then VCR's were very large in size and expensive!

Can't wait to see the 11pm special!

That was so cool last night. It was worth it just to see Lila Q again. What a lady! And Noah Drake-Wow! :rotfl:

Wow it was so odd to see everyone looking so young. Alan and Monica. Noah  Loud mouth Amy. A total blast from the past. I loved it. Could have done without the Spencer kids at every break but it was a lot of fun to watch!!

What a wonderful GH weekend, from the old shows to being able to watch last weeks shows on SoapNet today.

Great job by SoapNet. Now I want to see ALL the shows from the Summer on the Run and the Island. I wish they'd put them out on DVD's. I loved seeing all the old regulars again, Ruby, Lila, the first Edward. Jason as a baby, who knew LOL.

You know I wonder if the actors those that were on the show then and the new *yoiung* crowd watched any of this and said: "Now that was what a real Soap is"

Sigh, I know next week is going to be let down.

It's going to be hard to compete with the episodes of the last few weeks.

RIP GH. It was great while it lasted! :happytv:

Feel the same way..with Laura gone..back to the same old same old. Which of course I will watch..but it's not the same. I know that makes me sound old..but honestly the show has been lacking for sometime now. Seeing Laura back...was great...but on the other hand it really just reinforced that feeling that GH isn't what it used to be. I wish there were some writers on board who knew GH during it's prime...and would write storylines with some of the core characters as well as the newer(to me at least) ones. This mob stuff is so old and gone on for so many years already it's just old and repetitive.

I can't bear to watch Sonny hospital. I know he has a big fan base but enough already, You think the writers would buy a clue and listen to the whole fan base of the show.

Maurice Benard has it in his contract that he is to be in a front burner story ALL THE TIME! That's why he was talking to LuLu about her abortion, bothering Alexis, etc. If you have noticed Natalia Livingston (Emily) hasn't been on much. It's because they are trying to get people to forget Sonny/Emily  . They can't make Sonny go away so they make Emily go away, then bring her back and pair her up with Nikolas like nothing ever happened.

Maryanne you are right, this weekend showed what a real soap is like!

Made me feel old too. It also showed what GH used to be, which is going to make it kind of hard to settle for what is has become.

There was a time I wouldn't miss GH..now if I catch it on Soap Net..that's fine, and frankly if I miss some time..it's not a big deal to catch up. It moves incredibly slowly...and they can easily spend a week on someone's facial expression! :happytv: Then they repeat the montra...what ever it is...be it ..."save my girls"...for at least a month. It's almost as if the writers are on vacation not the actors. I often wonder if they get bored with the dialog themselves.
Will certainly miss the Laura/Luke storyline. It really is a treasure. Too bad it's over.

Weren't Laura and Sonny friendly? I thought I remembered something about Sonny playing a part in getting Laura's mother released by Helena, so Laura and Sonny were rather friendly after that. Does anyone else remember things this way? I thought it was odd that the 2 characters never interacted when Laura was back. Actually, I thought it was a little odd that Laura didn't really interact much with anyone outside her family when she was back. I guess there just wasn't time. I think it would have been so cool if Laura's return had ended with her being kidnapped by Helena again, perhaps at her re-wedding.

I was also disappointed that Laura didn't interact with more people. She never found out that Tony had died, only that Lila had.

She never even saw Robert Scorpio! Although I think he was at the wedding? I know he was getting Luke ready for it.

I also wondered about her lack of interaction with any of the other characters, but I guess there just wasn't enough time. Genie Francis' "visit" was very, very brief.

I guess they wanted to focus more on her immediate family, like Luke, Lucky, Lulu and Nik. I guess. I can't think of any other reason. :confused3

I simply cannot get over last week. They were some very powerful episodes. And I cannot imagine what they are going to do this week to live up to that standard. But I'm hoping for more good stuff.

BTW, I met Lucky and Lulu at Super Soap Weekend a few weeks back and they said that they truly enjoyed working with Genie even if only for a brief time. It seemed like they were really in awe of what a great professional she is. Nice to see that the younger actors appreciate the talent they work with.

Another thing..I love Laura's house...Why wouldn't Lucky live their with Elizabeth..instead of in that tacky little apartment. Which was supposedly all that they the Police Officer and the Nurse could afford?....(how ridiculous was that?) :confused3

Did I miss something or?

Anybody wonder why, Leslie was not around to say goodbye to Laura. Did she even know where things were headed??
