I've been lurking around here, but I figured I'd share in the excitement

I started calling around 6:50 and got through around 7:30ish or earlier...i actually don't remember exactly. I already had reservations for ASMo for 9/7-9/16 for 2A, 1C, but we changed them to the POP (preferred) for 3A, 1 C. Our grand total was $2092

Okay I'm all showered and dressed now. Just wanted to pop in and see how everyone was doing and to spread some Pixie Dust to those still holding. Hope all is going well for everyone. Don't give up and keep trying. I was going to make my ADR's right now but thought I'd better wait until my heart slows down a bit.

So are we going to run into the same thing in 2 weeks when we all call back to try and get the resort we wanted?

Mine was like that too! He said if we don't get it no big deal we'll just wait and go in Jan. Boy he has a lot to learn . I think next time I'll let him become addicted to planning . And I can sit back and laugh at him .

I was just on hold for half an hour, then the CM said that they are having problems and can't modify existing reservations at this time, to try back in an hour.

Finally heard from my TA..... (I only say finally cause I am so anxious) She said that ASMo was unavailable for my time frame of Aug 28-Sept 1 but there was availability at Pop.... she asked if it was ok to switch..... I emailed her back.. and now more AHHHHH... still waiting to hear if she was successful!

If you don't mind me asking, what restaruants do you guys eat at for dinner? Am doing the dining plan in July (not free lol) and need some advise on rests as we always eat counter serivce. What is CRT????

CRT is Cinderella's Royal Table, held in the castle. Reservations for that fill up fast!

I got in.

Pop was filled up, so we are at All Star Sports now. We were excited about getting Pop, but oh well, free food is so great, we will stay at Sports and love it!

I even made some ADRs!!! (Coral Reef, CP, Concourse, HoopDeDoo, Donalds, Le Cellier, LTT, Chef Mickeys!)

Woooohoooo.

1 hour, 30 minutes total time on phone.

We always hit Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary - Buffet style character meal, Whispering Canyon in WL - the kids love it there, they do crazy things like bring you 40 bottles of ketchup when you ask for some, Alfredo's in Epcot - very nice Italian, Garden Grill in Epcot - another character meal with family style platters with some of the best food I had at WDW, and last and most important O'hana in Poly - the atmosphere is awesome and the food is amazing! The kids love that one because there are activities for them and as much food as they care to eat!

You know what I am wondering.....

It sounds like the CMs are having trouble changing existing ressies and are having to rebook a lot of people from scratch (us included).

I wonder what will happen when all those frozen ressies are released from the system. Will it free up more rooms at our desired resorts?

OMG I'm on hold AGAIN!!!! My cousin who is coming w/ us justed called and said she hasn't gotten through could I PLEASE call and do it for her... Here we go again. Holding... 3 min. and counting

Okay, I just got through and made a ressie for ASMu and got a confirmation #!!! Then, I went on www.disneyworld.com to the my vacation page to look it up online. I input my ressie # and phone # and it says "Sorry we are not able to display your reservation at this time". Did something go wrong or is it just too soon or too busy?

Yes, it's too soon. I booked ~9 am Mickey time on Monday (1.5 hours on hold), and when I tried to look up my ressie on Tuesday afternoon, I got the same message. I panicked, called back to confirm everything, and it was all fine. I haven't checked since--I figure I'll get something in the mail in a couple of days, and until then, I don't need anything more to obsess and be paranoid about.

I finally got through to GG after well over 2 hrs holding, and their computers are down...the CM took my name and number and will call me back - I'm not holding my breath for any changes to happen....

NOOOO! That's some kind of sick joke, right? I've got my fingers crossed that you get everything you want.

And congrats to all of you who got in on free dining this morning! Even though the dates were somewhat limited so many of us had to change plans, I'm so thrilled that the rest of us had an opportunity to join the bounceback folks and half of the UK in celebrating the magic that is free dining! Yippee!

Just got Poly Garden View, no CR MK View left or lagoon Poly HOWEVER, I am going to Disney World with Free Dining!!!

Thanks to everyone who posted and helped out us slackers who didn't know about this, you just saved me literally $2300!!!
