The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

well, those of you wanting pop won't have any competition from me...unless of course ASMo is booked up - we want a preferred there - Buzz or Woody Building - my boys LOVE toy story.
My top choices are:
1. ASMO
2. POP
3. ASMu
4. ASSp (don't really care for this one, but moving up to a moderate is $700 more than going here - I'll take the $700 thank you very much)

I called Mon norning and made ressies for POP for 9/20-23- preferred- although I didn't ask for it. So today my DH finds out he can stay until Mon- :yay:

I wasn't able to get POP for that extra day- my only choices for those nights were ASMu and ASSp- I chose sports b/c we stayed in Music last Dec. I would have picked Movies if it was available- but it really doesn't matter b/c I get to be there longer and eat free!!!!

Good luck to all calling- it seems like there's plenty left still. I even got my ADRs including CRT yesterday with lots of choice times available.

I booked POP with AAA about a month ago and mentioned the Free Dining. The TA if you want to call her a TA said if free dining come around she would just add it. Well this past Monday rolled around and she knew nothing , had to call Disney and ask. And they said I have to rebook and no more POP room are available at this time for the free dining. So we got All Stars Music. But I was thinking is a few weeks when all the smoke clears and all the rooms are switched around I would call back and see if POP would have any rooms available. I think they release blocks of rooms at different times and there may be resort rooms available then that aren't right now. :confused3

But with free dining I'm happy at any resort cause most of my time will be spent in a restaurant eating. popcorn::
Or on the rides. :woohoo:

You should call again today and check if there are rooms. I tried to get POP on Monday and was told that everything was booked. I called back on Tuesday and was able to switch to POP with no problem!

My top choices are exactly in that order!!!:) We already have two preferred rooms booked at ASMO, so hopefully our AAA TA will be able to get the free dining added on before it runs out. Otherwise, we'll have to go with one of our backups.

Good luck everyone! Hopefully after tomorrow we can all RELAX! :yay:

I'm doing this :scared: with you all as we count down the hours until 7am EST tomorrow!

Come on free dining!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

When my DH called on Monday and played stupid to see what they would tell him he was told to call back on Thursday and ask again! :rolleyes1

I can't take this stress much longer! I feel like I am about to stroke out over here waiting for tomorrow morning!

:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

Waiting, waiting, waiting....

Starting the countdown..........12 Hours and 12 Mins...HAHA:hourglass

I work 3rd shift tonight so I will be ready bright and early!!!

me too......come on 7 AM!

Hopeing for POP!

Pop here too! If not ASMo.
Do you think the wait will be as long tommorrow morning as it was Monday? Maybe they will have extra CM's in anticipation for the high call volume at 7:00am;) .

I don't know HOW I am going to focus at work tonight - I have to work from 5:30pm - 11:30pm...I just wanna get my FREE DINING!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I've had such a busy week, I've had a Shareholder's meeting, Leadership class, & City Council meeting this week. I wasn't able to focus on ANY of that. My coworkers are SICK of hearing about Disney and Free Dining. Oh, well if I'm able to book it tomorrow, they'll be hearing about it for the next 4 months.:lmao:

i heard that the suites are never offered at a discount - everyone says it's cheaper to get two connecting rooms than a suite

is everyone just calling disney travel or there own agents for tom.? because still nothing on the disney website about it... im freaking it was like i could just see and taste it that night with the little goofy advertisement and now its gone.

It is my understanding from Disney, that when you book through a travel agent all changes, updates, etc must be made through the travel agent. We tried this before and Disney reminded us that if we had changes or "problems" you HAVE to go through your agent. And also reminded us that sometimes your agent isn't available over the weekend. We found it wasn't worth the hastle and went directly through Disney.

I can't wait until Thursday morning. I have been working on the ADRs that I want and trying to figure out a hotel. At this point my husband is not really feeling the Disney trip but i think I have him convinced.

Now hurry up Free Dining for the general public.

By the way can anyone tell me if the pirates and princess party is worth during our visit? I was looking in to it and I think that it looks like a fun night for the entire family.

It was so worth it. We went the first night they had it and I can't wait to go back again! It poured buckets that night too! We weren't prepared but it finally cleared up. The parade rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go for it!

I'm with you on this one, but in the end I decided the AAA discount was still worth it for me. But I am also getting frustrated dealing with my TA who is about as clueless as it gets. I've had to hold her hand and explain all this stuff to her multiple times. None of the people in that office knew a thing about free dining until I told them  I've stressed how important it is for her to call immediately tomorrow morning and get my stuff straight. If she screws this up I'm really going to have a fit :lmao:
