The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

We'll be at Sheraton Vistana Resort from 2/27 - 3/6 after visiting family in the Tamp area from 2/24 - 2/27!!

So far these are our plans:

Sunday 2/27 - Arrival, afternoon at AK, dinner at Chef Mickey's
Monday 2/28 - Epcot with lunch at Teppan Edo
Tuesday 3/1 - Crystal Palace (pre-park opening), MK, mid-day break, Ohana for dinner, back to MK for Wishes.
Wednesday 3/2 - DHS with lunch at Sci Fi
Thursday 3/3 - Open morning, evening at Epcot with dinner at Chefs of France followed by Illuminations
Friday 3/4 - Morning AK, evening at DHS with dinner at Mama Melrose's
Saturday 3/5 - Morning at Epcot with lunch at Le Cellier, evening at MK & MSEP
Sunday 3/6 - Departure Day... But we don't need to leave until around 3pm. No specific plans or ADRs - we'll go where the kids take us!!

I have an AP & bought DH & the kids tickets through undercover tourist in July. I got $79 flights on Southwest back in August. We'll be flying in & out of Tampa. Everything is paid for other than food & souvenirs!! That's a first for us!! I can't wait!!

yeah I have one more payment too -- one $2600 payment, lol. I am desperately trying to scrape up the money to pay this off. We booked it when finances were good, then DH went and took a much lower paying job. I wouldn't want to cancel b/c we have planned this for SO long and we've been talking about it like, EVERY DAY, for the past 6 months. It seems impossible right now to come up with the $$ but I'm just gonna keep plugging away and saving my pennies and maybe we'll hit the lottery.

Danielle- I wanted to eat at trex so bad last trip- just couldnt fit it in. I would think that if you arrive at 10:30am, getting to TRex at 12:30 would be pushing it. Are you taking the Magical Express from the airport? I think that alone was about 45 minutes- not to mention checking in, etc. My DS will be 5 on the trip too!

Yeah that is what I have been thinking too. We are using ME from the airport which from what I am reading will take 60-75 min. So that puts me at 11:30 at the earliest. Check-in and then a bus to DTD and I really don't think it is gonna work out. I am thinking about canceling the ADR and we can just wing it that day and shoot for CS? I might cancel Boma on Sat night and try to get T-rex instead since we are out of AK by 5? DS really loved it the last trip - he talks about it all the time.

Hi Kristi! It was all day yesterday and last night. They did so well... there were so many amazing bands and tons of talent. The top 36 bands in this whole huge state. My son's band didn't make it to the finals, but they were still very proud of getting as far as they did. We got back on the parents' bus about 11 last night, then I had to get up and go pick up my son when they got back at 4am, then we slept for a few hours then I just dropped him off at school. Thank goodness I was able to take today off as well -- I'm going back to bed now.

I was just wondering how everyone is feeling about the weather this Feb.

I know it is a long time away and we really can't predict, but do you think the kids will be able to swim? It will be devastating if the kids are not able to enjoy the fun pool at CBR.

Danielle: we will swim no matter what. The pools are heated (to 85?) and as long as there isn't too much wind/rain, it shouldn't be too bad. We'll be leaving below 0 weather so anything above 60 will be good!

And we are officially PIF!!!

Swimming is definitely do-able! The pools are heated up real nice. The only problem is getting out and making the chilly walk back to your resort room

I sure hope your right Gina, I am getting so excited and I am not the most patient man. We added an extra day so now we are going Feb 9 - Feb 27 it worked out if we went a day earlier flights were $300/person cheaper

Great job Ron on the cheaper flight! I regret not looking into that a bit more, I didn't realize one day could make such a difference!

Here's the link to the countdown app. It's not Disney specific, but it works well! You can set it as a screen saver, so everytime you go to use your phone, it'll remind you how many days (it's hard to find Disney stuff on BB - unlike the iPhone)

Okay, you know that thing a bunch of us have been not-so-patiently waiting for Disney to extend?? (I don't even want to say it because I don't want this searchable just yet.) I called again yesterday -- it's a wonder they haven't blocked my number yet, lol -- and suddenly January and February are loaded in the computer. BUT, as is typical for Disney with this stuff, it's kinda there, kinda not there. It's showing the party for every day at 7pm for the week I'm there, but no availability at all, which we know is a glitch since it isn't even announced yet. The CM's agreed. So, it could be fully in there today, or next week, or next month -- who knows with them -- but I wanted to let you guys know!!

This last CM this morning was kind of a ditz. She said, "Are you sure you don't mean they extended it to the end of December? Because they just did." Um, no.... that was extended a while ago, and it was ridiculous they waited that long for that extension, too. And two different CM's yesterday both said that January and February were loaded in the computer. Of course this was the same CM who also told me I should just make whatever multiple ADR's all over the place and then cancel what I didn't want when the party was extended. And artificially tie up ressies that other people could make?? I'll pass!

Maybe if we all keep calling we'll drive them nuts and they'll fix the system?? lol. So close!! I just want to book it and work out the rest of my itinerary!!
