I believe your reservations have nothing to do with the dining plan. When you show up to the restaurant they'll find out you're on it and deal with it accordingly. But when you first make the ressies I don't think they need to know if you're on the dining plan or not.

What she said, as long as the restaurant is on the dining plan list (and the majority of them are)

Ron- Time out! You are on the deluxe dining plan yes? And you are at the Contemporary for 3 days? On the deluxe dining pan you will get 3 table service meals per day- so a total of 9 credits per person. However- if you are on the regular disney dining plan you will get 1 table service meal and 1 counter service meal per day for a total of 3 table service credits (and 3 counter service).....

what you have scheduled is:
Cinderella Castle- 2 Credits
Donald Safari - 1 Credit
Chef Mickeys - 1 Credit
50s Prime Time - 1 Credit
= Total of 5 credits used

You can book up to 4 more Table service credits if you are on the deluxe plan-
TRex doesnt count- not on the dining plan so you will have to pay out of pocket for it

You can opt to use those credits at counter service locations- but I would recommend booking more dining (adding in some more breakfasts maybe), or switching to some 2 credit signature dining experiences (like california grill).....

you will get 3 days of dining to use how you like, if you want to save some credits for Wednesday morning you can. But you will get 3 snacks, 3 counter service and 3 table service

It doesn't matter when you use the credits. You get as many as the number of nights you're staying. You can use them all on the same day. You can use them on your departure day as well.

BTW we are going to be at Chef Mickey's for dinner on Valentine's day as well

DisneyFirstTimer10 (I'm sorry I think you've posted your name but I forgot): we are having dinner at Teppan Edo on the 10th and we'll just be wandering around Epcot. What a great way to spend you're big b-day!!

our plan so far is - althogh I have changed it about 100 times so far! I have never used the dining plan, so it is a little nerveracking to pre=paln out everything.

Hi Disneyfirst timer

Our travel agent made up a postcard that we put on the tree so when they woke up Christmas morning there was an envelope with their name on it with their favorite Disney character on it. When they opened it up it had our travel plans on what they would be doing. We also took my parents down and did the same for them for Christmas, I think it was the first time I saw my dad almost cry as his son was taking him on a trip

how about that journal that is on allears.net (I think that's the site). You can print it up, personalize the cover with your kids' names and the dates of the trip and wrap it as a gift.

Thanks Allison! That is IF I don't change it again. I am thinking I might cancel our reservation at TREX on arrival day. It is at 12:30 and we are landing at MCO at 10:30, Not thinking we will have enough time and if we do -we will be really rushed>

We are also telling our kids on Christmas morning. My plan is to get them each a suitcase (since we have always just packed their stuff with ours) now that they are older and can pull their own suitcase. I am going to put a Disney Shirt, some travel items they will need, along with a letter from Disney inviting us to come on our trip! I also plan on making invitations for each character meal that we have.
Now if I can make it all work.

Ron- that sounds like a great plan! Remember that you still have one credit unaccounted for- you can always use it at counter service places (though more cost effective to use it at a sit down restaurant) If you dont want to eat at crystal palace twice you can head to the Wave at contemporary or Kona- I think both are open for lunch! You can find the menus on the disboard- let me know if you need the link

Danielle- I wanted to eat at trex so bad last trip- just couldnt fit it in. I would think that if you arrive at 10:30am, getting to TRex at 12:30 would be pushing it. Are you taking the Magical Express from the airport? I think that alone was about 45 minutes- not to mention checking in, etc. My DS will be 5 on the trip too!

Did I read something on the boards about a cheerleading or band competition? Which parks on which days did you say to stay away from? We are going Feb. 11-17 staying at AKL. We are going to HS on Sat. 12th going by a tourplan. Will this be okay? Any help would be appreciated. We were here once 12 years ago with our kids. This time it is just the 2 of us for our 25th Anniversary.
