The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

Okay, you know that thing a bunch of us have been not-so-patiently waiting for Disney to extend?? (I don't even want to say it because I don't want this searchable just yet.) I called again yesterday -- it's a wonder they haven't blocked my number yet, lol -- and suddenly January and February are loaded in the computer. BUT, as is typical for Disney with this stuff, it's kinda there, kinda not there. It's showing the party for every day at 7pm for the week I'm there, but no availability at all, which we know is a glitch since it isn't even announced yet. The CM's agreed. So, it could be fully in there today, or next week, or next month -- who knows with them -- but I wanted to let you guys know!!

This last CM this morning was kind of a ditz. She said, "Are you sure you don't mean they extended it to the end of December? Because they just did." Um, no.... that was extended a while ago, and it was ridiculous they waited that long for that extension, too. And two different CM's yesterday both said that January and February were loaded in the computer. Of course this was the same CM who also told me I should just make whatever multiple ADR's all over the place and then cancel what I didn't want when the party was extended. And artificially tie up ressies that other people could make?? I'll pass!

Maybe if we all keep calling we'll drive them nuts and they'll fix the system?? lol. So close!! I just want to book it and work out the rest of my itinerary!!

So there's your news for this Friday morning...

OMG, I am so calling. Maybe, just maybe we can get this booked and then I am all done (which is kind of a sad thought)

I was not able to make a final payment last Friday, but I will have our trip all paid (pending on the Wishes Party) for Thanksgiving.

DH is finally getting excited about the trip. He was all gung ho at first and then his attitude went down hill. I told him I could always take my mom, and he just gave me "the look". As it gets closer to being here and to being paid off, he gets more excited.

i was reading last night that their are quite a bit of snakes around WDW and that a boy was bit by a water moccasin and was hospitalized. With it being a bit cooler in February are their still lots around? I am not one for snakes never mind poisonous ones

Great job Ron on the cheaper flight! I regret not looking into that a bit more, I didn't realize one day could make such a difference!

Here's the link to the countdown app. It's not Disney specific, but it works well! You can set it as a screen saver, so everytime you go to use your phone, it'll remind you how many days (it's hard to find Disney stuff on BB - unlike the iPhone)

for some reason westjet always puts their seat sales on in the middle of the night and then takes them off in the morning. I am usually at the office around 6am and got the deal down $189.00/person on the way home though $658/person which is still better than the $1200.00/person return

Ugh, they're killing me!! I just got a really nice CM who confirmed that all the dates are indeed loaded in the computer, but were showing no availibilty. He took the time to actually search for the # of bookings, and there are none, so we know that it's just not "ready" yet as far as the system goes. And he also confirmed that it could be the next hour, or next week, or who-knows-when before the ressies are bookable. Grrr!!!

Ron ~ Just go back for a few pages and you'll see what we're talking about. Sorry, not trying to be so vague... I'm just trying to do what I can to allow us here to be able to get a jump on ressies when they're available before the masses find out!

I did my first Disney thing in months, I ordered some maps.

I think I'm the only one avoiding our trip to WDW. It's so overwhelming and there is so much to look at that I'm stressed even thinking about it. I've been completely ignoring it.

Hey everyone! I just found this thread and figured I'd party with all my fellow February visitors!

My bff and I are going to celebrate our college graduations. We go to Disneyland all the time (we're only an hour away) but it will be my first(ish) trip to the World! (My ACTUAL first trip will be in January but only for the half marathon, we won't really be able to do anything, so I'm not counting it!)

Anyway, we'll be at Pop from the 2nd to the 4th, then the Poly from the 4th to the 8th! SO EXCITED!

We had to change our Dec. trip to Feb. due to becoming GRANDPARENTS! YAY!
Now we will be there Feb. 25th - Mar. 6. Staying at All Star Music. I can't wait!
We have not been there this time of year, so any pointers would be nice. We usually go in September. How is the weather? The crowds? I was able to get all the dinning adr's that I wanted with no problems. I hope that is a sign! : )

yaay! Finally -- another late Feb'er. Most everyone on this thread is going the first half of Feb. We'll be at ASMU 2/24-3/4! (our first trip so can't answer your questions)
