The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

Two families coming February 12th through February 19th, staying at the Polynesian. Just read the "east" pool will be closed during our visit. That is not the Volcano pool is it? The pool slide is one of the major reasons we picked this resort!

Can anyone ease my mind about this? My kids would be so disappointed if the pool was closed. Because they will swim no matter what the weather outside!!

This is the info I find:

"Disney's Polynesian Resort - The "Nanea Volcano" feature pool will be open. The smaller leisure pool will be closed from January 10 - February 18, 2011."

That being said, I couldn't imagine having gone swimming on any of our February trips... I may love the cold, but not being wet and cold!!

What date are you looking at? Peeking at the calander most of the nights Wishes is at 8.

We are going to the 2/15 Wishes party and our check in time is 7 pm.

Lil Bo Peep -- Glad to hear it all worked out! DH and I went through a HUGE rough patch last year, even separated, but it all worked out like it was supposed to, and now he will never be rid of me.

ha, we were separated as well last year and here we are going to WDW. We may be on to something.... maybe all couples who go to WDW were recently separated and reconciled.

We are going for our second WDW vaca as a family (my 3rd) Feb 26 - Mar 5 at Pop Century. We went 2 yrs ago (Feb 2009) & had great weather, avg of 75 degrees at the end of Feb. Hoping for slightly warmer since we'd really like to try Typhoon Lagoon!!

We are heading down Feb 3 for 9 days!!! Our longest trip yet. Sooo excited I could skip Christmas. Lol. But really..........I could.

I feel the same way - it's hard to get excited about Christmas when you're this excited about a Disney trip that's not that far away! I'm really trying to be excited for Christmas! lol This will be our longest trip also, 7 nights/8 days, yay! Have fun!

Did y'all see that Wishes Dessert Party ressies can be made online now?? About time! It looks like our date (13th) is sold out, but it showed availability for Valentine's Day. Weird to me!

We are booked for Wishes Dessert party for the 13th of Feb as well. We will see you there

ScrappinMom- For their big reveal on Christmas morning- we are going to let them open up their other Christmas gifts first, then bring out the surprise- I wrapped a few things related to the trip and stacked them up so they look like a pyramid- with the hardest hints on top...

Box Three: Disney Tshirts for the whole family
Box four: Fake airplane tickets (that look pretty real)
Box Five: Disney Maps
Box six: Helium filled mickey balloons that have a fake park ticket attached to them on a string

oo those are GREAT ideas! Here's what I've got so far....I can't remember if you said how old your kiddos are..mine are 16 & 11 & this will be our 5th all girls trip...so if they opened a shirt or crocs they would know immediately!

I have 5 gifts for each of them...they'll open in order 1-5

Box 1 - a couple of disney books they've been asking for - Kingdom keepers for the 11 yr old, & The Imagineers books for the 16 yr old
Box 2 - Snowglobes of their favorite characters
Box 3 - Mickey Tye Dye string backpacks with park essentials inside
Box 4 - Mickey Tye Dye shirts I made (long sleeve since we've never gone when it was chilly)

I made a Disney binder for each of them that's the last gift they'll open it has our itinerary, our adr's - BBB ressie, wishes ressie, flight info etc.

They will totally know when we get to box 3, they just won't know WHEN - 2010 was a super crappy year for us as a family, so they are not expecting this at all. We have always gone in October or in March so February will be new for us.

Chris- that sounds so cute! I can't wait to hear how it went! My two are little- my daughter is 2 and mickey/tinkerbell/ariel obsessed, and my son is turning 5 on Christmas Day and is mickey/star wars obsessed

speaking of- Gina- did you hear that they may have a vader/storm trooper meet and greet at DHS now? Supposedly they will sign autographs too! That would be awesome if they were doing that in Feb!
