2026 DVC Member Cruise

This is crazy. We use the Disney visa for cruises all the time and get the 0%. I guess the problem is just the member cruise aspect? I hope it doesn’t start becoming an issue with regular DCL cruises.
It shouldn't become an issue for regular cruises. It's probably an issue with the way DVC processes payments for these special chartered cruises. I think if payment went through DCL there would be no issue

There is no change to booking a DCL cruise directly with them using your Visa or using a travel agent to do it.

My guess is that it could be related to it being a charter cruise and maybe Chase did change the rules

FWIW, I looked back at my statements and emails from Chase between the time I booked the 2025 and 2026 Member Cruises and do not see any changes to the terms and conditions that relate to this promotional benefit. If the MC qualified last year, I see no reason why it didn’t also qualify this year. I was told it was coded differently on Chase’s side, who punted back to DVC. DVC told me they don’t “code” anything, they just charge the card, and then punted back to Chase. I lost count of the number of phone calls that just sent me in circles.

Hopefully, you can get answers as to why its being done differently...fingers crossed it isn't a rule change and that Chase will figure it out!

Update to the Member Cruise/Chase VISA issue…

Today I spoke to the senior supervisor in Member Services who has been talking with Chase and advocating for members who brought this issue to DVC’s attention. (Yes, there are others.) She has been given the same run around regarding the “coding” issue. In the end, she said it was determined that the Member Cruise does not qualify for the promo. She does not know why it has in the past and said that is a question for Chase. However, she did say that the leadership team is working with Chase to have future Member Cruises apply for this promotion.

I called Chase and the customer service agent I spoke to said she was unaware of any changes to the terms of this promo (that I received when booking the 2025 Member Cruise, but not when booking the 2026 Member Cruise). So, the inconsistent application of the promo is still a mystery.

This must be so frustrating! Big ugh moment for Chase

ETA: I hope it doesn't dampen your cruise experience!
