Why do you want Stitch gone? For me -- it's just not that entertaining.

I did a little digging and "weliweli" means AWFUL in Hawaiian. I thought that was perfect.

Ok i am here to defend Stitch... I actually enjoy this ride.. It gets nothing but bad pub and I do not see why. It is a cute ride that is actually kind of funny. It is not My favorite ride or one that i have to go on every time, however I enjoy it very much and hope that they keep it going..

Umm.. that's NOT how how I remember Stitch.

I love the Stitch character.. but i thought this ride should have ended with him as Elvis or something WAY LIGHTER..

I can think of ten million ways to do a Stitch Encounter in that space that would be better than the current one.

Seeing as Stitch is one of my favorite characters, I think they could have done him more justice by working up something completely original for him.

Having said that, I was a huge fan of ALIEN ENCOUNTER, and would gladly join on the X-S Bandwagon to ensure its return! Together, can we indeed Seize the Future?....

He's deserving of a trouble making show and that's what they gave him.
So okay all you Genius Imaginears on the boards...<<cough,cough >>

First off -- I LIKE Stitch as a character... and I liked the movie.

Secondly.. I'm no 'junior imagineer' or anything of the sort. People campaign to save or change attractions all the time and this attraction is one that -- after I went on it last year -- I was truly amazed it was still open.

And here's my biggest complaint about this attraction as it stands currently ...

The basic premise is bad and the ending ... is "weliweli" -- AWFUL in english.

Most importantly -- like Jay Leno's face ** - IT TERRIFIES THE VERY CHILDREN IT SEEKS TO ENTERTAIN.

I felt since it IS Stitch.. it needed a happier ending. Imagine Stitch appearing at the end in his Elvis outfit doing a short bit of a song or something.. I dunno. The Stitch character is clearly aimed at kids 5 and up. So when you put an attraction with him in it in Tomorrowland, they should be able to enjoy it.

This ride is too scary for a LOT of kids that age.

All I can tell you .. is that several small (6 to 9 year old) children who went in expecting 'cute Stitch' - were crying their faces off by the end.. The first time we did the ride, they had to stop it because a 7 year was screaming his head off and pulling at the restraints completely freaking out.

The parents were mortally embarrassed because they didn't realize .. since it had Stitch .. it would be SO scary. They too were thinking 'cute and cuddly Stitch'..

The second time we rode it.. we got thru the entire show.. but at the end several children were CLEARLY terrified. I mean TERRIFIED. One kid was blubbering about "I never wanna see Stitch again, I thought he was my friend.." And the mom didn't know what to say... she did look ticked tho.

THAT is the major mistake in my book. Yes, in the movie Stitch has a dark side.. but by the end of the movie.. he's soft and cuddly and Mr. Nice Guy singing Elvis tunes and joining the family.

This attraction should change speak to that a bit... Disney has twice bumped the height requirement on this to keep truly impressionable kids out of it. Umm.. that should tell them that they made a huge mistake using the kids favorite character for an attraction they can't see!! Duh!

While Alien Encounter had it's problems.. and DEFINITELY scared children too... it did not use one of their favorite loveable Disney character's to terrorize them.. And parents tended to the heed the warnings about how scary it was... see the difference?

PS> ** And before anyone jumps on me for the "Leno's face" comment.. it's actually from his book when he talks about how the network did a focus group with viewers and the overwhelming feedback was that he had a face that scares small children. I used to work for the guy.. I don't insult him.

Okay A). its an attraction not an ride B.)There are warnings all over the place telling parents that this attraction is sometimes in low light or in complete darkness it is up to the parent to know there child and decide what the can and can not handle not disney . C.) So you bring back AE and no children can watch the attraction because its not cute and fluffy its a alien with huge teeth and huge claws that just broke free D.)Give it a rest Stitch is there get over it And saying all that its JMHO

I totally agree with everything you are saying! The ride or "experience" is terrible. I have rode it 1 time too much. I would be happy with a ride like mr. toads with stitch. This ride definetly has to go!!

Yes. I know it's not a ride. But it's just easier to talk about all Disney attractions where you get buckled into a seat that way.

I don't expect for a minute they'd bring AE back. I wish but I don't really believe that.

This ride/attraction/experience (Stitch) is much maligned by far smarter and more educated Disney folks than me.. and gets a 2 out of 10 when rated by users on a number of different websites. The TIKI lounge does better for pete's sake.

I was just having some fun with the X-S Tech theming. I thought for those who remembered AE and liked it -- this would be a fun thread.

If it bothers you that much that we don't like this attraction. Start your own "We Love Stitch's Great Escape" thread.. ?

Thanks for the welcome I really wish they had a good stitch attraction b/c he is so popular. Little Kids love him which is why i really think they should make a ride like mr. toads used to be
