DIS Dads The Official DisDads Prayer and Praise Thread

Well I mentioned some thing on anther thread so I guess I should put the info here.
My wife has been dealing with some issues lately( last few months0. She had blood work done and her blood count were low. She has been going to the doctors every other week and they have been trying to figure out what the problem is. The good news is after several test they said it was NOT cancer, they did more testing and then said it was not some other things which my pea brain cannot remember.
Now the bad news is they still could not figure out what is killing off her blood cells..They have been trying different things with her including pumping 80mg's of some steroid (which is a very high dose from what other docs are saying. she was due to go to the docs today but had an episode at work yest.
The following was a post I had put on a private group of friends on fb.


Will be headed up to the hospital in a few hrs will let everyone know what I hear

Joining with all of you in prayers for all the folks we have listed. Just got a phone call and need to add my own. My uncle Raymond (mom's youngest brother) is dealing with kidney stones and complications. His general health has been declining recently and the family is concerned. My mom (81) is very upset as she watches her family dwindle away. Thanks! Love this thread!!

I and my wife thank you all for the extra prayers,and of course we are returning them for you other dads and families.

Update on Deb. She is home and they are saying the cause of the passing out was a combination of the prednisone, and her dehydrating herself by drinking to much water and flushing her system to much. They still don't have a answer as to what is killing off her blood cells, so we are still in limbo about that.so in general she still has to go to the doctors every other week for blood work and other test until they find the cause. Oh and now they have her doped up on valiums to try and relax her body so the other meds can work.

My own request...Lots of heavy weather across the Bluegrass today. Had to pick up the kids early because of tornado watches and warnings. Flash flood watches are up now as well. Could be a long afternoon.

I got a text from nate. He said his dads surgery went ok. The doctor is painting a real rosey picture but Nate hasnt seen him yet. He wanted me to post to thank everyone for there thoughts and prayers.

A Coast Guard helicopter crashed into Mobile Bay last night. One confirmed dead, three more missing. Holding out hope that missing crew are in the water somewhere or made it to shore. No updates that I know of but I just got home. The son of one of the pilots is in the classroom of an elementary school teacher I know.

This is one of those times when I stand in silence in honor of people who die in the line of duty protecting us.

My brother passed away tonight. He died peacefully at home. Gonna miss you Tony.
