UHG that was so annoying and so disrespectful. Like he didn't have a care int he world. Dancing and singing and waving his statue around like nothing happened. I get that he won an Oscar and he wanted to celebrate, but SOMEONE should have told him it would be a better idea to go home, lay low, and contact a lawyer/pr team immediately. It was so arrogant.

I figure he was thinking it may be his last and only oscar so he was going to whoop it up while he could, before the punishment starts.

Plus, remember he got a standing ovation, like they all forgave him. I still want to use the excuse that they had Stockholm syndrome - when people bond and start sympathizing with their captor. Although 45 minutes would probably be a record for the bonding.

I don't think anyone mentioned if Will Smith was on drugs. He admitted taking psychedelics during hard times with Jada. Seeing him go from laughing to scary angry so quickly makes me wonder if he was using anything that night. I'm glad he's in rehab. Get some anger management counseling while you're there.

I think everyone there was in some sort of shock, so when he won they gave him the standing ovation thinking that maybe they could just act like it never happened and everything would be OK. They were probably still processing it and in a state of disbelief that things went so sideways so quickly.

I'm glad he's in rehab, too, one would hope it's sincere and he really understands just how badly he's messed things up. But there's nothing he can do to give that night back to the other winners and the Williams sisters.

I noticed in a replay of announcing he won, that a couple of people right behind and next to Will & Jada jumped right up. Maybe others just automatically thought they should stand too, not thinking things through and asking themselves, "Do I really want to do this?" Will was actually the LAST to stand and walk to the stage.

It was a live video, meaning it was “broadcasting” in real time. Awkward!

Interesting. I saw it differently. Will was in the privacy of his own home, which should be a private & safe space Especially for someone who has such a public personae. He walks in and finds them filming live and they want to rope him into their broadcast, to score more followers or watchers. To be able to tag him in the video. He set his foot down and made his boundaries known. He doesn't want to be used by them.

I think it also shows one of the cracks in their marriage. That as lovey-dovey as they want to appear, on a deeper level he knows she would use him & his fame any chance she got. Did you see her face when she turned the camera onto herself? I bet she's been waiting for the chance to embarrass and humiliate him for not letting her use him for her gain. She finally got her chance when she told him on her Red Table Talk about her "entanglement" with her young boyfriend when they were supposedly separated.

The one thing good about knowing they were separated, if that was real, is that they did separate. So, maybe, if Will gets real therapy, he will realize Jada just isn't good for him, isn't there for him. She's there for herself. And they will separate again and finally divorce.
