I vaguely remember reading or seeing a description of The Farewell, that Awkwafina won for. It's about a Chinese family going to a family reunion for their grandmother, as they know she's dying. Only, no one is supposed to tell Grandma that she's dying, because they don't want to upset her. But, if I recall correctly, Grandma already knows she's dying. And she won't tell them she knows.

I’ll admit I hadn’t heard of this movie, but I loved her in Crazy Rich Asians. Hmmm... sounds interesting, I’ll have to check it out.

Ps...Joaquin is wrong. Agriculture is not a major impact on climate change. The HPEF is wrong. Agriculture accounts for less than 4% of greenhouse gasses. They should point the finger at the real culprits, industry and transportation. Make the celebs ride bikes to the ceremony.

I liked her in that too. I'd only ever seen her on the Red Carpet a couple times and she seemed kind of wacky. But, she was able to put it into the movie effectively.

I think he's always been like that. I remember seeing him in interviews, way back for the Johnny Cash movie. He's all over the place. Or sometimes he wouldn't say anything at all. Then he'd retire from acting, go away for a bit, then come back, like this time.
