~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

We just booked Dec. 10-22 at CBR! We might need to switch rooms mid-stay, I had to make two reservations in order to get free dining on the 15th. This was a totally unexpected trip - I was talking to my husband about going for two weeks next June, he said he'd rather go this year and get the free dining. Kids don't know yet, not sure when we will tell them, maybe Dec. 10th?!

Tuesdays are usually the least crowded night, but I think the 1st will be the first party since before Thanksgiving (no parties over the holiday weekend), and that party is usually pretty busy (sometimes a sell out). I'd go with the 3rd.

Oh! I didn't think about that. Good to know!

Roll Call is updated. :thumbsup2

Park Hours Watch has officially commenced. It should be any day this week. I am refreshing the Disney Travel Agents portal every hour to see when they post. As soon as they do, I'll share the link here! :hyper:

So they could come out at any time throughout the day, not just a six-a.m.-or-nothing posting? I'll be right there refreshing the page with you. :)

When I've stalked park hours for clients, I've seen them pop up at all sort of times throughout the day. So I'mma keep on checking until I see them! :cutie:

Southwest will be opening up flights through December on Thursday, too, maybe I can actually start planning this trip!!!

We are booked 12/12-12/19 at Saratoga Springs. We're bringing our brood - me, my wife, mother-in-law (because we keep Meme happy), my son and daughter. We are also bringing my son's best friend and her parents (first trip for all three of them). 4 of the crew will be "celebrating" birthdays while we are there. 3 will have just had b'days in Nov (DD, Meme, son's friend) and 1 (DS) will have one on 12/25.

I always love seeing Disney through my kids eyes and I'm looking forward to seeing it through the eyes of a child going from her first time. Just watching her face when she saw the videos we've made of previous trips was cool. She kept asking, "Are we going to get to do that?" and I love being able to say "Yes. Yes we are."

So even with the extra magic hours the earliest you can get into a park is 8am?
This is our first trip to Disney World but at Disney Land in June at least the parks would open at 8 so with the emh we were in line by 6:30am and int the park by 7am I had been hoping it would be the same at WDW. We are staying at the AoA December 18-26

Should we just assume that MK will have EMH at 7 every morning starting Mon the 21st?

The morning EMH is always one hour prior to park opening. However, since you're going during peak season, there's always a change they may extend the park hours on either end of the day, and change to an 8am opening or a later closing. (WDW is pretty famous for doing that, actually. I saw a lot of people complaining about it here on the DIS during this past holiday season, particularly if they had booked an 8am breakfast ADR in the park with the intention of getting in before park opening, and then Disney up and changed the opening time from 9am to 8am a month before their trip.)

While I've never traveled during Christmas week so I don't know if they do anything different, I would think you should probably assume they will stick to the printed schedule for now. As likely as it is that they will change it and tweak it based on expected crowds that week, it's difficult to predict what those changes will be. I've never seen them do EMH at one park for an entire week though, regardless of the season.

I think I've confused myself lol (not a hard thing to do;). Every other hours chart for Dec 2014 has mixed EMH hours like you said @ Elevationist. I've been using Josh's but I'm probably reading it wrong. Does anyone know what the little 7a beside the blue MK means during the week starting the 21st..?
