~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

So even with the extra magic hours the earliest you can get into a park is 8am?
This is our first trip to Disney World but at Disney Land in June at least the parks would open at 8 so with the emh we were in line by 6:30am and int the park by 7am I had been hoping it would be the same at WDW. We are staying at the AoA December 18-26
Last year they ended up extending MK hours to 8 am most days, which would mean 7 on EMH days.

Just jumped on board with December 20-27 at CBR with free dining! Had to cancel our summer trip and was super bummed but was excited to be able to do this for my family! Crowds are going to be crazy, but so looking forward to Disney at Christmas!

So, if it's anything like last year and they move all those MK openings to 8am, do any morning EMH also shift earlier? Wondering if I should be planning for a very very early morning or two.

Hey guys! I'd love to join the board! The second part of our split stay is from Nov. 28-December 5 at WL CL. We are about 2 weeks away from making ADR's and I'm so excited! Once the ADR's are done and the park hours are out the trip feels so much more real!! Looking forward to planning with everyone!!!!

Yes, they will shift to 7 am. I think it's only Thursdays, if I'm remembering correctly?

So happy to see (tentative?) park hours out! Also, touring plans crowd calendar. Waiting on Easy WDW. In the past, those two have been at odds for when we have travelled. Seeing all parks at level 10 on TP for 1/2 of our dates, I definitely need a 2nd opinion. For any who have previously visited in the busiest part of the month, can you break down how park closure happens when the park reaches capacity? We are staying on site, and usually are at parks within an hour of opening, if not prior to rope drop. We like to leave around noon or 1:00... Are you allowed back into park later? If MK is full, and we don't have a hopper, would we. Be turned away?

Waiting for Josh to release crowd calendar as well so I can confirm plans with myself but I think we're pretty set.
14th -- Universal Day; arrive at Disney and hopefully a 7:30ish dinner at 'Ohana
15h -- Magic Kingdom til mid-afternoon. It's a party day so we will probably leave park around 2ish, take a break and hop someplace that evening
16th -- Epcot all day
17th -- break day; DTD
18th -- Hollywood Studios to start the day then we will see; my son loves H.S. so we may not leave here or maybe he and hubby will stay here and DD and I may hit something else.
19th -- Animal Kingdom to start then hop to finish with anything in particular we missed or the kids want to catch again. I know this day will be super busy so we may actually hit MK early and then FP everything at AK so we can go there a little later.

We've got free dining but didn't upgrade from QS so we will be paying OOP for 'Ohana. No one else wants to do any sit downs but DDs birthday is the 19th so I would like to come up with a plan for a special dinner someplace for that but otherwise no real dining reservations to plan around so I think this will be the plan. It looks like the best choice based on the crowd calendars from last year and then ones that have been released so far.

Roll call update! :thumbsup2

I'm loving all the PTRs now that park hours are out! So much excitement! :goodvibes The PTRs section had been updated with any links I know about!

We love Shades of Green. We have stayed at many different resorts and we miss Shades when we aren't there. The food isn't the best but we don't eat there. The walk to the Poly is great and we find ourselves at Captain Cooks many times before we head back to the room if we are hungry at the end of the night.

Thanks so much for the tips! I hadn't planned on eating there too much- maybe a quick dinner at Garden Grill on our first night there, but like you mentioned- Captain Cooks is so close and I definitely want to see the Poly other than just for the monorail.

Hmm, so Josh's park schedule is released and the only thing I have to look at is that our HS is not recommended for either of the last 2 days we are going to be there but it is recommended on our scheduled off day. It may be a play it by ear thing but if the kids can handle another day before a break, we might hit HS that day and push our break day til Friday. Hmm...lots to consider. YAY!

I checked out Josh's calendar, but it is full of ?? For the week I will be there. Does that indicate "you are crazy, it is all not recommended" or just not determined until possible hour expansion?

I think he's waiting for updated hours. MK might have EMH at 7 every day. If you look at his Dec 2014 calendar he has that week filled in, so I'm guessing this one is just preliminary.
