The Official Dec. 2010 Code Watch

We're going 11/30 - 12/08 and I have the Monster Pin for 1/2 of our stay, but it's only for POP. I also am really hoping that the free DP will extend into December. Maybe we'll find out this week!!!:surfweb:

Do you mind me asking if you booked with a TA or through Disney. We are going Dec 2-9th and was not able to apply the 40% monster pin to part of our stay. Thats great that you were able to do it.

When you say POP. Do you mean POP Century?? Thats where we are booked. Just curious.

Posting now so I can see my countown so I know how many days until I can hopefully apply the bounceback code to my YC ressie for December. (it is the Monster PIN blackout dates!)

Oh I hope it works!!!!

Jenny Wren,

BTW, we just read a book for homeschool with that title, and my dd's name is Jenny... how cool is that! :thumbsup2

We booked through Disney and, yes, we are staying at POP Century. I would ask your TA about specifically asking for the code to be applied to part of your stay. I was told that it wasn't workable to get the code if you arrived prior to the dates listed, but fine to extend your dates out the other end. We were going to stay from 12/9 to 12/16, but I would've had to purchase 3 day and also 4-day park tickets, which was much more expensive than just purchasing a 7-day park ticket (the Monster Code was good for 12/12-18).

Hope this helps!

I have a sister named Jenny but then I have so many sisters that I have named pretty much anything. :rotfl:

Brenda, am I understanding correctly that you could apply the code to your reservation since you were checking in during the required dates but that the days after the code you are paying full price or are you getting the discounted price for the entire stay because you checked in during the time period, as it had been in years past?

I am searching for a 14 day time period in Nov/Dec with a discount, hopefully Free Dining for the entire stay. Yes, I know I am greedy.:goodvibes

My sister called to book her trip for Dec. 5-8 and the CM told her that coming out on July 13th would be free dining for the dates of her travel. Now we all know how knowledgeable the CMs are. :lmao:... so I wouldn't bet my life fortune on this, but it's just something to get us all excited and to toss around.

Hi guys, this will be my first trip to disney ever, and I'm going in december! christmas is my favorite holiday!

I received a pin about a month ago in my email good for 20% off value, 30% off moderate or 40% off deluxe resorts. I havent used it yet because I'm still deciding on where I'm going to stay at. on site or off site, I'm not sure there are pros and cons to both, but seem to be more pros staying on site but its more expensive, even with the discount.

my question is, if I already received a pin will I be sent another pin before my trip? or do they only send one pin per person? I hear people saying that they got a 40% off pin for value resorts and I would like to get that pin.

also if I booked now with my pin, but I receive a better pin before my trip or disney puts out a better deal, can I rebook with the newer cheaper price?

Also, what if disney does come out with the free dining plan for december, am I allowed to use my pin for a discount off the resort and get the free dining?

I have not received a PIN ever, but I would love one!

I am staying off-site for a week, but decided to stay another couple of days, so I plan on staying on-site.

I'm hanging out waiting for the discounts to come out for December, but if I get a PIN, I'm all for booking it now! :wizard:

I asked my TA (Disney specialist) for a quote for Sept (free dining) and Dec. She mentioned that the Dec quote, we would have to pay for dining. She mentioned that something was going to be coming out but she could not tell about it.

From my experience staying on site isn't much more if any at all if you stay in a Value. We had an offer to stay at my parents time share I did the math. With paying parking every day, renting a car (which we still may do on some trips as DH likes to have a car...just to have it, even though it usually just sits in the parking lot the whole time...), and the meals out of pocket. I didn't see much savings at all. If free dining is offered there is no savings basically for us. Well maybe $100. It cost around $15 a day to park, I believe, so that can get costly. We love the dining plan, it we usually make out on it. We would still do 2 meals a day without the plan and most likely at least one tables service a day. We like that experience. Even if you go all CS, it still can get costly for food.
You can book with a pin now and change it if something better comes along. With free dining though, you can do that or another discount, but you cannot stack 2 discounts.
Pins are randomly sent out and no one knows why. I got 3 for free dining over the springtime for the spring and summer months. Plus a few other pins, but haven't much since then. I did make 2 new accounts though, and each got a pin, but not good enough for us to jump on it, and the 40% didn't cover the dates we are looking at.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Someone can usually give you a good answer! :woohoo:

Hey, Slightly Goofy... love that name! :lovestruc, BTW!!!

If I had known that Disney USED to give a discounted price for the WHOLE stay, I definitely would've moaned more :lmao:, but I'm sure it wouldn't have done me any good! And, yes, the day after the code I am paying full price. HOWEVER, I will gladly give up my Monster savings for Free Dining in December!!! And I won't mind the minor glitch of either upgrading dining due to being in a value vs. moving to a moderate. In fact, I'd LOVE to have this problem, so BRING IT ON, Disney!!! popcorn::

Is it true that you can't use a Florida Residence discount and a 15 number PIN together?

POR here we come......

sadly they don't allow multiple discounts but i guess when i remind myself that they're a business i can't really blame them
