No, that would be pretty rude. I believe Clay & Rup are quite good friends. I wonder if Rub said anything to his fans.....

Clay will be on Wed's AI results show singing Solitaire. Though, I love him singing that song, I would have thought he'd be singing The Way.

That is SO rude, not to mention stupid. I still don't understand how some people can't just realize the show is over, the rivalry is over, and now both Clay and Ruben are successful performers .

I am looking forward to hearing Clay sing tonight on AI.

After all, Ruben won, right? Why would his fans jeer the guy that was runner up to Ruben? Oh yeah, perhaps they read Billboard, too. Just kidding. . .Ruben should have handled it and taken his fans to task. He and Clay are fond of saying what close buds they are--that would have been the time to step up to it.

Ok, what did everyone think of Clay tonight??? I thought it was very interesting that they didn't show the judges reaction? Could it be because of the negativity they've been showing about Clay in the media lately? Hmmm.... Overall I thought the performance was AWESOME!!! He's just the best!!! But the makeup, that was a little bit too obvious and cakey looking for me. Oh well, I'll be watching it a million times anyway.

Yup! I agree with you! He looked so smooth and professional last night. He's grown so much as a performer in less than a year.

I, too, wonder why they didn't show the judges, AT ALL! I was really hoping they'd comment or at least congratulate Clay. I also noticed they didn't speak much about his "successes". Ryan quickly skimmed over his record sales. Thank goodness for the fans holding up the "triple platinum" signs in the audience. It's almost like they don't want to admit that Clay consistantly "outsells" Rub.......

i thought he was fabulous last night!! but i also thought it was incredibly rude that they didn't even acknowledge his presence after he sang. ryan did mention the triple platinum and the audience went INSANE...lol...

anyone get the single yet for the way/solitaire? it's a rather stubbly clay on the cover...

I thought Clay was awesome also last night. Both him and Paula were on ET last night and made some comments about this years contestants on AI. However, they were shot in different places. I also thought it was so strange that the judges made no comment about Clay. Plus last week when Ruben was there he had the smaller audience and judges commented. I just don't understand why they seem to have a problem with Clay. I did see on one of the interviews that Kelly and Clay gave together, that both of them are trying to get away from the AI role hence the name of the tour "Independence" which Clay chose the name. Will be interesting to watch if judges comment when Kelly performs on AI.

I am so mad!! I programed my VCR to tape it but some how it taped the wrong station? Even my DD who was sitting righ there with my said, you set it to tape channel 2 (FOX). Oh well. I will have to find it online.

I thought Clay was AWESOME last night (that's not a word I normally use, either...but it fits)

He does need to stop raiding Barry's closet for clothes, though. The similarities are downright SCARY at times.

I agree Clay was fabulous last night ! Just for the record, I do think Clay was right when he said Randy was crazy to say that this was the best top 12 ever (he said this on ET). This year's group doesn't hold a candle to last year's, IMO. It was kind of odd that the judges didn't comment after his performance. Maybe they're jealous since he is now a bigger star than any of them !

Haven't seen the single cover yet, but I have to admit that I really like the stubbly look on Clay .

the new single Solitaire is amazing!!!!..as was his performance..after hearing it I ran out this morning and bought a copy..and yes..he has the 'stubbly' look on the cd cover..but he's still so adorable!..as for him raiding Barry's closet..I would rather see him in what he was wearing last nite than in that striped shirt that he has on every other time I see him...get a new wardrobe Clay..you can afford it now with the triple platinum!!

Can someone post a picture of the single cover, so I know what to look for? I went to our walmart (the only place in our town that sells CD's) and couldnt find it. They mix the singles with the regular CD's making it impossible.

Clay has to say that, but I agree with the judges. Once you get past Clay, Ruben, Kimberly L. and Trenyce, the rest of AI 2 didn't have the same vocal skills as this year's group of Amy, Jennifer, LaToya, Debbie, Jasmine and Fantasia.
