Ladies I had a Clay sighting tonight. DH and I were out to dinner at Fujisan(a japanese restaurant) in Brier Creek. We were seated at our table and about 10 minutes later Clay and several guests were seated at the table across from us. His table was blocked with a screen but I was able to get a clear view. He was wearing a khaki fisherman's cap and a Carolina sweatshirt.

I couldn't even focus on eating my dinner b/c I was so excited to see him there.

Just wanted to share it with you all

I think if it were me, I'd not be able to concentrate one bit on my meal, I'd just be staring over at him trying to appear as if I were not staring LOL.... Poor guy can't go anywhere without being stared at...

But wow, what an experience!

I was watching my local news this morning and they did a little tour of Clays home with him. It only showed a couple rooms but the house is huge. Clay even talked about Kelly and said they've talked. He looked so normal in an over sized swaetshirt. At the end they said a segment had aired last night but I missed that one so not sure what they showed then.

Jenny...I saw a quick clip of last night's show. They took a tour through part of his house and he showed them his Christmas tree. He did mention last night that his Dec. 23rd concert is in Greensboro and it's an hour away from his house. I thought his house was in Raleigh but it doesn't take an hour to get from Raleigh to Greensboro....hmmmmm

I think his house is up in North Raleigh so it could be an hour or more.

This morning they showed his Africa Room, Living Room, Theater and his trophy case.

Ok I admit I haven't been keeping up with Clay but is Durham a cat or a dog? I got the impression cat since he was on the end tables batting the decorations but they only showed Raleigh in the clip.

I'm very jealous of those of you who saw Clay's house! What's his Africa room like?

I guarantee you Clay does NOT OWN A CAT He's deathly afraid of them he says in interviews....

I'm glad to hear he still has Raleigh though, he used to bring her to his concerts & sometimes she'd come out on stage for a moment (and everyone had to be super quiet & they were!)

Hello everyone! For those of you that are wanting to hear about Clays Christmas Concert this year I just got back from Merrillville! Can I just tell you....OMG!!!!!!!! I have been to several of his shows and this one by far was my favorite. I think it is because he showcased his voice a lot more than normal and it was just Clay! There was no gimmicks or anything like that...just him and the orchestra! The only thing I was a little upset about in the beginning was that the orchestra played for an hour before he came out! But turns out they were really good and the director was funny so it was ok! Clay sang for about an hour and twenty minutes. I was really close (as you can see from the picture I loaded below) so it was wonderful! He was so cute! He sang almost everything off of his first Christmas CD and all four songs off of the new one! I am so happy I made the 2 1/2 hour jaunt up north to see him! Well worth the trip! Anyone have any questions I would be happy to answer them! I will be downloading the two videos I wasnt supposed to record but did anyway very soon so keep your eyes open. I recorded My Grown-Up Christmas List and Don't Save it All for Christmas Day. Anyway...if anyone else is going....you will love it! This is all about Clay and the music!

www.walkradio.com and look for the interview that KT Mills did with Clay. It is a long one and he really is very thoughtful in his answers to her very inciteful questions. Definitely one of the best ones yet!

The drought is over!!

After 367 days, I was *FINALLY* sharing a room with Clay last night. Long overdue, I can tell ya that much!! Can't wait to see him (and my Dis friends!) on Saturday!!!

My daughter and I are going to the concert in Hartford -- 4th row table -- can't wait!

Also, in case you missed it or want to see it again and don't own the DVD (by the way...what's WRONG with you?!?), A Clay Aiken Christmas (the special from 2004) will be airing on Bravo a few times: 12/14/06 at 9:00 PM and midnight and 12/17/06 at noon.

Hi Kylene!

We were at table D12, with 2 women from our area - Monroe & Trumbull. Kim and I were running late and got there just as they were closing the doors. She had to coach soccer at the Boys and Girls club at 6pm, so it was a race up to Hartford - luckily no state cops were out and about!!

The concert has absolutely fabulous. All of the banter and the songs! Who could ask for more. At one point in the banter when Clay was talking about keeping your hands up, and "watching out" for the claymates, he pointed toward the lady in red -- that was Kim! It's funny, she looked behind her thinking it was someone else -- made me crack up.

On DSIAFCD, I had chills, especially the ending when he pulled the mic away and just sang -- nothing could be better. And then -- All is Well -- that song is so beautiful, and it just gave me chills down my spine. I could listen to him all night long.

Can't wait until we get the chance to see him again - hopefully it won't be another year. This is the only Xmas show we will see.

I know you are going to the NJ show - have fun and drive safe!

That's so funny!! She caught his eye, that must've been a thrill for her!!

Our table was right across the aisle from the dictionary incident. Funnily enough, the woman with the dictionary is a woman I met up in Boston at the meet 'n greet!! It's funny how small the Clay fan nation is (I still refuse to refer to myself - or anyone on this thread - as a Claymate).

From what I've read, it sounds like Hartford was a great show to be at if it's your only one. I didn't have anything to compare it to, but the Claymates who are reporting said it was one of the strongest shows he's had on the tours, so that's good for us. I could've listened to him talk and banter on all night long, too! I so wish I could tote him around to meet everyone I know for just a couple minutes so they'd "get" it. He's such a personality!!

But yes, the singing...amazing. And dropping the mic for DSIAFCD was....

Michael Buble did that in concert last year, and I swooned. I seriously was shaking after he did it. I mean, he did it to the ENTIRE Mohegan Sun Arena, so it was even bigger, but even so...I never expected Clay to do it. It was great.

Anyway, I'm glad you and Kim had such a good time!! Hopefully there'll be news about another tour soon so we don't have another year long concert drought!!

I can't believe that Clay's NJ show is a little over 48 hours away. I'm soooo excited! I'm looking forward to seeing so many fellow Clay fans and friends on Saturday.

I posted it a couple of posts ago. It's on Bravo - A Clay Aiken Christmas. It's the special that was on in 2004, and it's airing tonight at 9:00 pm and 12:00 am.

See I read the 12/15 Regis and Kelly thing but did not read the line just below But I knew I could come here for info! I actually did read most of the last few posts. But I have an excuse, I'm going to Disney tomorrow and planning a Disney cruise that I just found out about 2 days ago, to be booked before Christmas! Yikes! Thanks Fantasmic

LoL - no problem, you're totally excused. Trust me, I know what crazy is, as I just got BACK from Disney last week and still haven't gotten things back in order, including my mind!!
