After keeping this to myself for two days (since I now realize I can't trust a few of you home-wrecking, man-stealing, thought-you-were-my-friends Disers...not ALL of you, just a few ), I've decided to share:

Why he's geeky: The 2003 American Idol runner-up may be a chart-topping superstar, but he describes himself thus: "Was a nerd. Am a nerd. Will be a nerd. Forever." (Note: I, Kylene, would like you to know that Clay and I plan to have this engraved on our wedding bands.)

Why he's sexy: His big heart (he co-founded the Bubel/Aiken Foundation to help disabled children) has won Aiken legions of devoted fans, a.k.a. Claymates. "Women want to take care of me like I'm a little boy," he says. "They want to tuck me in."

I'm literally fighting off tears right now.


Apparently, there's been two new updates regarding the CT show.


1. There may NOT be a fanclub presale. At all.

and,

2. Tickets are now rumored to be pushed back one week, to October 29th.


I've never been so distraught about going to Disney World in my whole life.

Thanks guys - y'all are so sweet (when you're not trying to crash my wedding).

Someone posted today that they called the box office and they still are telling people the 22nd. I'm afraid to call myself because I don't want to hear differently. I hope they don't change it.


Cookie, I'd love to take that extra ticket off your hands, but I'm going to try to get a pair (and probably go broke doing it) because I really want my friend to experience Clay. She's never going to be a Claylover like we are, but I think she'll enjoy the show. If I get lucky, however, what show are you going to? I'd love to catch up with you in person!! \


Oh, and by the way Debi - rest your fears, no meet 'n greet (yet ) for this tour. My news is just going to be big and exciting for me, if it pans out, and it's something I've worked a long time for. It's only indirectly Clay related.

However, in other non-related potential news, Powerball is now $290 million dollars. Which means if I win, I'm buying you all the concert of your choice.

In fact, if I win, I think we'll just have a concert of OUR choice, in Disney World.


And Brandie will make us cake.

Thanks again, guys. I know I shouldn't get so worked up about this, but it's just a big fat deal for me. Part of it is because this week is the anniversary of what we went through with losing Gram last year, and, last year, Clay's Christmas show meant so much to me because I felt like she was with us. Tickets had gone on sale a week after the funeral, and my cousin was first in line at the box office to buy them, and we ended up with amazing seats, for our whole family. It was just special. I kinda don't want to let that go.

As expected, there will be meet 'n greets for the Joyful Noise Tour. The buttons for requests are listed at the fan club site for the first ten shows on the tour, up through November 15th. I'm not sure if any in our number from the West Coast are going to any of those shows, but if you are...GOOD LUCK!!!

Clay Aiken Embarks on 'JOYFUL NOISE 2005 Tour'; Second Annual Holiday Show Features New Songs


LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Clay Aiken might sing "I'll Be Home
for Christmas," but he won't be, as he embarks on his "JOYFUL NOISE 2005"
tour, his second consecutive holiday tour. The RCA Records artist will perform
40 shows in 36 cities, starting Nov. 2 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The tour then crosses into the United States, and concludes with two shows on Dec. 29-30 at the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida.

"JOYFUL NOISE 2005" tour is the sequel to Aiken's first holiday tour,
which was a huge success, playing to sold-out theaters at every stop. The 2005 tour will feature songs from Aiken's platinum-selling "Merry Christmas with Love," the best-selling new holiday album of 2004. The song list will differ from the 2004 tour, and will include a number of songs Clay recorded for the album that didn't appear on the CD, as well as new arrangements for some traditional favorites.

"JOYFUL NOISE 2005" tour will feature a new element - a series of
vignettes with a running storyline, written by Aiken. The vignettes will
feature two main characters and supporting roles will be cast in each city
with local actors.

"I've always loved Christmas music and holiday songs," says Aiken. "And
even though there's no place like home for the holidays, I'm looking forward
to touring the country with the second installment of the 'Joyful Noise'
tour."

This is the sixth tour of Clay's career, and it caps a busy year with a
schedule filled with everything from fulfilling his role as UNICEF Ambassador
to being a reporter for the TV series "The Insider." Aiken has also been in
the studio recording his next album, and will continue to work on that project
during the closing months of 2005. As part of his UNICEF duties, Aiken is the spokesperson for their annual trick-or-treat fundraising campaign. While the money raised from this effort is usually earmarked exclusively for other countries, this year, for the first time, half of the money raised will be donated to victims of Hurricane Katrina in the United States."
