The Official Bachelor Thread ~ Deanna comes back!

I apologize if this has already been said, but I didn't read all the pages. Does anyone feel that Deanna's "advice" had something to do with his initial decision? She told him how her maistake had been going for unpredictable "fun", whereas she should have gone for steadiness, dependability. I noticed he seemed to make that analogy of how dependable Melissa was, but how "fun"/unpredictable Molly was. Of course, the final decision was his alone, but I wonder if what Deanna said contributed to his initial choice of Melissa. Either way, I'm still appalled that he broke up with her on TV. But she said that he'd told her how things had changed since the TV show ended, and when she came out and there was no audience, she must have known something was up. I'm just hoping the poor girl wasn't as shocked as she appeared. Tonight should be interesting.

According to Reality Steve he had chosen Molly by the final Five. It was the producers idea to pull this fiasco... I don't think Flaky Deanna could make a difference in anything.... but her 16th minute of fame! :rolleyes1

The leg wrapping annoyed me to no end.

I guess I am in the minority here but I always thought it was kinda cute when Melissa hugged Jason and did the leg wrapping. It was sort of her "thing" every time she greeted him.

:wave2: HOWDY DOODY EVERYONE!!!

I never have watched any of the Bachelor shows....but last night I was finished watching one dvr show and was canceling it when this was on tv....it was the very end when Jason was saying goodbye to Molly (she had on a purple dress) and then crying hysterically (was that a Broadway audition?) and waiting for Melissa (in the yellow dress)! Then an MC of the show states to "stay tuned for something never done on the Bachelor"...well heck that got my attention.

So I watched the last 40 minutes.

Was this show FOR REAL or was this some big huge JOKE???? :confused3

Because if you all reply JOKE, I will totally understand...if you don't...:scared1:

:sad2: Sadly, it's no joke.

My thoughts (for what they're worth):
1. I think Melissa totally knew what was about to happen. She was tense from the moment she stepped out there. I believe that Jason was for some reason, required to do it that way. I was surprised that his wording wasn't more sensitive as that tends to be his thing though.
2. Melissa was prepared with some things she said. She's not usually that eloquent. I was glad she pointed out that getting engaged is a once-in-a-lifetime thing and he took that from her!
3. His insensitivity, I think, was due to whatever had happened between them in the past few months. He didn't want to throw her under the bus by telling everything, but he did say she was different. Basically, I think he is a good guy that was put in a very difficult situation.
4. I'm not sure if Molly knew or not--she really did seem surprised, but the hand on the leg and instant kissing seemed too familiar for them to have been separated for the last few months.
5. Integrity could have won out on both Molly and Jason's part had they taken it very slowly (not instant kissing!) and shown more concern for Melissa. No matter what, that wasn't written in the contract.
6. I could have forgiven any of this except the breaking up with Melissa on National TV. I agree with the poster that said he could have explained that they had talked and that he just wanted to give her the public opportunity to rake him over the coals!!!

Anyone watch The Notebook, the girl did that in the movie.

Did it bother anyone else that Melissa spoke in the 3rd person (i think that's it) last night? You chose Melissa. You loved Melissa. Was she trying to separate the situation from herself or what?

It was kind of weird.

I think she was just very angry. I get like that when I get really mad, I sometimes speak in 3rd person.

i noticed that. people i've known that referred to themselves that way were a little wacky.

when did she call him a b&^&&&???

Here we go! popcorn::

Did people catch the way Jason hesitated and sighed after Chris asked him, "So are you going to break up with her tonight?" Like Jason didn't already know he was going to do that. That he just came to the decision.

It was kinda cute in jeans, but not when she tried it in a dress!
