Final payments made on both of our room packages!! It's a great feeling and one more thing off my list.

I grabbed my offsite FPs yesterday morning. Also booked my Mears shuttle from airport to Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek. I transfer to Caribbean Beach on Aug 3 - will they think I am crazy if I get there at 7am? Headed to AK for EMH that morning. I know the room won't be ready. so excited. 29 days and counting!

Congratulations!! One thing I am doing this trip is Savor the Savanna at AK. If you haven't done the KTTK tour, that would be fun too.

They will not think you are crazy. Our first trip to Disney, we stayed offsite the night before our first park day, then transferred to WL the morning of our first park day. We got to the resort right around 7:00, picked up our tickets, and stored our luggage with guest services, then hopped on the bus to DHS. No odd looks from any of the staff, no one thought we were out of our minds

Thank you for saying that. That's a great point which makes me lean towards doing themed t-shirts instead. Plus there's no way DH will do a costume. Maybe DS9 would. But I can probably talk them into themed shirts.

We usually just wear our "Boo to You" tank tops that we got from Etsy. We stay cool, but also ready to celebrate at the Halloween Party!

That's the conversation I keep having with my children. They are understandably excited about going back. And the excitement is doubled because we are taking my mom this time and she's never been. I am excited too; but in my mind is the fact that when this trip comes, it is almost time to go back to school. Plus waiting until August after the long school year is hard. This year we are taking an extra trip. I'm taking off work on July 5th and we are going to the beach next week for the long weekend.

All that being said, this will be our 3rd straight time going in August. I do like the lower crowds and going in August helped me in terms of earning enough vacation time; but before that, we used to go in June. For 2020 the goal is to go back to vacationing in June. Hope to start planning after this trip is over because I would like to get a cruise in next year.

I have done one before. I did a pre-trip report for either our 2010 trip or 2012 trip. Can't remember. I started post trip reports for those; but didn't finish them. The 2010 one barely got started. The 2012 one I got through 5 of 10 days; but I did finish a post trip report for our 2013 trip. I haven't decided if I'm doing one for this trip yet.

I've never done one, but this trip is way different with our first DVC MM night, our first trip to TL, our second DIS Party, first CG Brunch, that I just may! DH is supposed to be buying me a new camera which will add to the excitement!

I like reading them all, too. I even planned to do one for our last few trips but I never get to it since we've gone in Nov., and when we get back, I'm consumed by all things Christmas plus basketball season.

Same. I wrote some for previous trips (see my signature) but have not found the time yet to write one up for this last trip a couple of weeks ago. Hope to do that soon.

Got a little check this month from my side-gig. Decided to treat us to the FEA Dessert party to say good-bye to Illuminations. We haven't ridden FEA in a while so that'll be a fun extra afterwards.
