I realized today that I never bought dd6 new sneakers. I looked at them online last month but wanted to take her to the Asics outlet to see if there were any deals. Life happened and I totally forgot. I need to get her sneaks ASAP so she can break them in.

Did anyone need Beaches and Cream on 8/25? I don't think I'm keeping mine. DH originally wanted to eat there on a pool day but then it was closed for refurbishment so when it opened back up for ADRs I grabbed one. But he seems to have moved on to other options. Plus he thought Beaches and Cream was a QS and doesn't want to cancel one of our ADRs for it.



My DH loves to throw me a wrench in the month leading up to the trip. This year he finally sat down with me and went through each day before the 180 mark. The last couple of trips I've gotten tired of all the planning stuff so I think he was trying to avoid that as much as possible. Of course, things changed because other stuff came up like adding a day, fast passes not being available on certain days, etc. I think we're good now.

Got a 10 year old boy here who has just found out about the existence of the Kitchen Sink Sundae and couldn’t be more excited about the possibility of having one!

No problem here with the husband having input, that is me, and I do 100% of the planning. My wife does have input, but she is a super picky eater, and as such, pretty much doesn't like anyplace we eat lol. She does like Coral Reef, not for the food, just for seeing the aquarium while we eat. She won't eat seafood at all, and isn't a fan of steak lol. She does go through menus with me, and does so before our 180 day mark, as she knows that I make ADR's at 180 days, and once they are made, that is it. It is quite rare for me to change an ADR after it has been made.

Today, we took attached our luggage tags to our luggage, and started sorting through some of the things we need to pack.

Yeah, I'm the picky one in our family. I don't let that stop us from trying new places because I know I can order off the kids meal if I need to.

i keep telling hubby he needs to get his new shoes asap so he can start breaking them in. We went yesterday after lunch and looked for a little while but he didn't find anything. I'm gonna have to stay on him to do that this week. I can't just go buy him shoes either because he has foot issues 9had a work accident that resulted in toe amputation on his right foot) so he has to try them on and walk around in them to make sure they are going to work for him. I already have two pairs of sneakers and of course my flip flops I'll wear some. I might pick up another pair of flip flops for myself though. Not sure yet. I might go look tomorrow since I have to kill 4 hours between my nerve testing (carpal tunnel) and an eye doctor appointment.

I was planning on wearing flips the whole week. I till have my old pair of skecher go walks that I like to wear. I hate the under armour sneakers I bought last year. DH is trying to talk me into getting a good pair of sneakers for myself but I hate sneaker shopping. And I always feel guilty for spending a lot of money on sneakers. It's kind of ridiculous because I can literally wear the same pair of sneaks for 3 years so I'd definitely get my moneys worth. I've always had good luck getting pairs on sale so I think that's part of it. But now that I'm getting older, I feel like any old sneaker won't do. I'm not even sure where to start with sneakers. I've heard great things about Asics. I should go up to the outlets and check them out. I was able to find my daughter 2 pairs that had great reviews and were on sale on their website. Nothing for me but I need to go try them on anyway.

What brand flips do you like to wear in the parks? I have a couple pairs of yellow box ones that I like but I could use another pair. I wear flips everyday once spring hits.

Happy July everyone. We're in that planning lull here when fast passes and ADRs are booked. Taking care of some little things like checking and replacing (if need be) those small necessities like cooling fans. We're headed to the beach for the long weekend though so that's the focus right now. Good thing about that is swimwear is taken care of already.

Glad for this break because once we get back we have one open week and then my son has three straight weeks of camps and my daughter will be working on an Art History elective online. That will probably make July go by a bit more quickly.

I LOVE seeing all my fellow teachers here! I am having the same struggles...I really WANT it to be August, but I don't want school to start! I tried to snag the special MagicBands, but MDE kept giving me error messages. Oh well. I really want the new purple AP band, so I'll hold out for that one.

I am super excited because I will be celebrating big time on this trip. I just got ENGAGED, bought a house, and will be starting a new teaching job in August. I can't wait! Any suggestions for magical things to do to celebrate?

DD and I went through our plans to finalize them. I realize I have a ton of extras this trip. I bought them a little bit at a time, so the financial impact didn't seem so great. Initially, I was spending our savings from free dining, but I definitely went over that budget.

I wanted DAH at DHS but no dates during our trip, so I substituted DAH at AK instead. And, I let DD convince me to cancel a 2nd EMM at DHS on 8/14 and now it's sold out, but I really wish I hadn't cancelled it.


The only event I'm not too excited about is MNSSHP. My family had to talk me into it. The parties pre-2010 were awesome, but since then, they are just too crowded. Plus, the only date that works for us is opening night which is not ideal.

I feel like I add more extras each trip.

So many extras. Have fun! I think you should do the Cruella party because that's new and it may not be around next year. It sounds like you're a frequent visitor.

Ugh we haven't been to a Halloween party before but I was hoping it was less crowded than the Christmas part we did couple of years ago. I keep putting off buying the tickets. We do want to at least try to go and we won't try for a spot near Main St for the parade this time.
