Just checked and nothing available my whole trip 08/07 - 08/19I dont think this rumor is true.
It's true, it just booked up very quickly.

My two carried drawstring backpacks last year for the first time. My oldest is way older than yours. She was 15 on that trip. My younger one though was 8. Each had a poncho, cooling towel, cooling fan, a snack and my oldest had my poncho and cooling towel plus money and sanitary items in hers. I kind of adjusted them so they wouldn't be sitting on their backs. Now I should say we did it this way because my bag was a cooler backpack. So it was full of ziplock bags of ice and drinks. Only the external front pocket had my debit card and some cash. We all loved having those cold drinks on hand though.

Out of curiosity I had a quick look for ADRs for my dates as well and found none. We don’t have it on our to do list this year but last year we did and could not get an ADR after months of trying. I happened to check while we were on our trip and managed to get a same day ADR so all hope is not lost! You could also try the Touring Plans reservation finder.Yes, I googled and found an article stating the same, though there is absolutely nothing available 08/07 - 08/19 on DME. I just called too and the CM said she didnt sshow any availibility. Hard to believe for 3 people nothing for 12 days at any time

When I was booking my ADRS I couldn't get one and it was before the slated closing time. It was just for two of us. I did finally snag one on the day i wanted at the time I wanted by getting an alert from Mouse dining dot com.

Beaches and Cream is a very small restaurant with only a handful of tables and booths. It fills up really fast and it is very hard to get a reservation. I tried the minute I heard about it. Nothing available from 8/18 to 8/25. Just for the heck of it I tried for just 2 people, and still nothing. I had a little pixie dust last nite. I believe I posted that I was unable to get a FoP FP on my arrival day. Last nite I checked for the heck of it and scored one!! Very excited. I really like that ride!

I was able to get a Beaches and Cream reservation for 8/6. There were a lot of times available when I went in, but I happened to be online when I saw the postings saying they were now taking reservations. It will be my first time there.

I would love to know when they are going to be running. I was thinking July when SGE was announced. But now I’m hoping for August.
Nice score on the FOP. I check for SDD everyday. I have one but there’s a morning that I was hoping to grab it for too. If not, we may go & wait for it.

I keep checking for SDD, too. I'd love to have the option of not joining in the running of the bulls, I mean early morning park goers. I've got to stop reading the horror stories about rope drop.

Anyone doing an MK Dessert Party? Or have done in the past? I'd would like to do a little something extra this trip that we've never done, and since it's just my almost 20 yr old daughter and I, a dessert party along with the fireworks could be fun.

We have most of our plans in place now, yay!
I’m still hopeful for a SWGE preview since we are AP holders other than that, plans are made for each day!
We are doing the Rhino tour, MNSSHP, EMM at HS, and the DestiNations Tour in WS as our “extras”. I have a tank dress with Jack Skellington on it for the party.
We are doing several breakfast ADR’s which include Garden Grill, Bon Voyage, and CP.. We also have tea at the GF. Our evening ADRS include Sci-Fi, Via Napoli, Sanaa, Yak&Yeti.
We will be staying 4 nights at YC and 5 nights at GF, with our very first night at Portofino Bay at Universal! This will be a 10 night trip for us, so excited.
48 days to go!!

We have morning fps every day since I discovered that we never seem to get to any fp that I might make for the evening, no matter how good of an idea it seemed at the time I made the fp.
A very good split stay. You will be able to avoid a lot of buses that way.

Years ago we went to DHS n our first park day. We chose Toy Story Mania as our first ride. Wait time showed as 60 minutes, but it was about 3 hours before we were riding. Nightmare!
Anyway, after that, we waited an hour or so for popular attractions. It turned out to be a blessing we waited 3 hours for that first ride, because the kids never complained about the hour waits, which seemed to breeze by in comparison, for the rest of our trip!

I agree, I try to do most FP in the am, I usually make a 4th for later and often cancel it! My thoughts exactly with the resorts we chose! Buses can be trying at times! We have been using Lyft a fair amount now at WDW and it is reasonably priced and much quicker!

Same here! We get home on Aug. 7th and my kids start sports practice 10 day later and my oldest leaves to return to college two weeks later. So once we get home we will be in fall prep mode. I wish I could hit pause once the trip starts. ;-)
