Hey guys. Sorry I have been away. We moved into our new house and I lost my mother 3 weeks ago. She had severe COPD. I'm an only child, and it's been really hard. I'm 39 and have no parents.

Our trip is still moving forward, August 5-8th staying at Shades of Green.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad suddenly about 2 years ago, and my mom 9 mos ago. Moving ahead with the trip is definitely the thing to do -- I hope you have a fantastic time. Nothing like some Disney Magic to lift all spirits!

We also did ours Tuesday morning...everything went smoothly. Unfortunately we had to make a couple early throw away passes, due to our schedule, but Epcot has too many characters my daughters want to see, allowing 3 hours for that hoping it will be enough.

We have an 8 am Akershus booked for my August trip for this reason... Please post on here how it works out for you!

YAY!!! I have 19 days to tweek my ideas before our FP day... I get more nervous for that than ADR's... fingers crossed that we all are as fortunate as you were!!!!!

We also did ours Tuesday morning...everything went smoothly. Unfortunately we had to make a couple early throw away passes, due to our schedule, but Epcot has too many characters my daughters want to see, allowing 3 hours for that hoping it will be enough.

Congrats! I still have to wait 4 weeks to make fp. I'm going to be very busy until then. End of school year activities, figure out an outline for UNI dining and today I put aside my outfits for our Disney park days. I don't think I'll need a parka in August

If you are going the end of August, I think you will have an easy time, a lot of kids are back in school and your crowd level should be a lot lower than ours the 1st week. I really think the secret is the planning. We go to a site that has all the characters and the times they are out, SHOWs, length of shows (the shows with FP put us a little off due to needing to get there 30 minutes early) otherwise, when it came time, we had all of ours written out as to times, we did not get all of them immediately, but after I was finished, I went back and started at the latest fast pass and worked my way back, refreshing until the exact time I wanted popped up, It worked out great, only one was 5 minutes off, everything else was perfect. It definately takes work, but being prepared definately makes the most of your trip.

Me too I was really stressed more than I should've been. My Sister and 14 year old Niece are coming with us. They haven't been in about 10 years where my kids are fortunate and have been a few times. Mine are only 5 and 2 so I had to make a lot of separate ones but it all went smooth! Hope everyone else gets there's too. Just have to hope that FEA is actually open by then. I know they are saying the end of June but I'm nervous. My daughter loves Frozen and Dory so those will be her highlights.

We never seem to be able to be at Disney for special events / parties, so thought this might be a fun (but expensive) experience. Anyone else looking to try this event? It's up in MDE, but I don't think they are taking reservations yet. Decisions, decisions...

I was just coming here to post the same thing! We are looking to do August 23 and also drop BOG for it. DD5 would eat more at the breakfast with EMM then she would at BOG so it makes it all totally worth it. I went on it several times through MDE last night (it was Sundays and Tuesdays in August, rather than the Saturdays and Tuesdays for April/May). Now I can't find it again. It was showing until end of September, but wouldn't let me book yet.

ETA: Just found it now! Go into MDE and in the search bar, type early morning magic (just as Ferrentinos mentioned). I typed 'extra' instead of 'early' and it wasn't coming up. It will come up for you to go to calendar. Still unable to book, but dates are showing.

This is what happened to me. I thought that my PPO at BOG was safe on a Sunday, but then they moved the EMM to Sundays (rather than Saturdays). So, I think I may change it to EMM. I too am wondering the effects of EMM on an early breakfast reservation / rope drop. I have read Josh's review on easywdw.
