The "Official" 2014 Stay/Play/Dine thread

3 Adults - 6 day Base Tickets - CSR - Standard Room - Regular DP - $3057.99
Before SPD price was $3787.72. Savings $729.73.

How does it work if you choose to do the package but not use the tickets? We are AP holders but thinking of saving the tickets for next year when our APs run out. Do you just keep the magic bands for later?

I don't remember the exact numbers, but the S/P/D offer was only going to save us less than $100 for two adults staying at a Garden View POR Royal Guest Room for 8 days/7 nights with Park Hopper and Deluxe Dining (about $3900).

Which I thought was weird- this last January we stayed for 10 days/9 nights with the same type of room, tickets, and dining plan around the same time (next January is 1/5 - 1/12 versus 1/12-1/21 this January) and we ended up saving like $800 with the S/P/D (about $4700 to begin with and ended up being $3900 after SPD discount).

I'm wondering what happened there.

I was quoted $2471.42 for Jan 10-18 for 2 adults and 2 children under 3 with 6 day (not park hopper) tickets with the dining plan for 2 adults at standard Caribbean Beach Resort room.

...also has anyone looked at the 2014 dining PDF file? Am I missing something or is Downtown Disney no longer in the quick service or table service list? Where did it go??

3rd party restaurants won't get added until December. Happens every year.

I'd call back. That doesn't fit either discount.

I don't know the answer , but we are AP too and I wondered about that too:)

My info:

Feb 16 - 21. 2 Adults. POFQ, Standard Room, 5 day tickets with hoppers, standard dining plan. $2144.10.

Original price was $2529.98, only difference is I added a day onto the tickets when I booked SPD.

My info 3 adults, 1 child, POR Royal Guest room standard view. In order to get the discounts I had to split the reservation

Jan 2-5 - Room only $751
Jan 5-9- Package 7 day park hopper, regular dining plan - $2805
Food we will have to come out of pocket the first 3 days - $326

Total is $3882
Previous total as one whole package including dining and tickets - $4622
Saving of $740!

2 adults, 1 Disney adult. POFQ standard view. Wednesday, March 5-Sunday, March 9. 5 day base tickets. DDP. 4 nights. $2199. Does that seem rather high?

Just got back from a trip with DH on September 21. This is a quickie spontaneous I wanna go back to Disney World trip, and since DGD can't take off more than 3 days since she's in middle school now, we're going to have to settle for a shorter trip than I'd like this spring.

Seems about right to me for the time of year you are going. September is a lot cheaper than March.

I just checked, which I really should have done before I called to book this morning, and it jumps from regular season to peak on March 7. Plus, I have a Fri. and a Sat. night in there which is higher than weekdays. I may just have to mess with the dates a bit and revise if possible. Ugh. Sometimes I wonder about myself. :(

I wouldn't blame you for playing with it a bit!

What are the chances that the S/P/D offer will be extended through March?

Just booked a garden view room at POR for 2 adults, 2 kids (ages 10, 5) for Jan 25-Feb 1. Used s/p/d with 2 day MYW tickets because we are waiting for YES programs to be announced for our week- we may get the remainder of our tickets through YES. Total- $ 2713.51 :cool1:

3 adults at Port Orleans French Quarter, garden view, 6 nights/7 days 1/5- 1/11. 5 day base tickets with dining plan.

Came to $2646.33

Same stats at Riverside came to $2655.39

:D I wanted to stay in FQ so badly! :D

Well, I just called and changed our dates to March 1 - March 5, 4 nights and 5 days. 3 adults, 4 day base tickets, DDP. POFQ standard. $2033.98 YAY! :rotfl: Now I gotta re-do my ADRs.

Quick question about S/P/D with Disney Visa. We booked our trip a few months ago, used a different visa for the deposit. Applied/received the Disney Visa a few weeks ago, but now that the offer is out we have to wait until Oct. 8th (general public release date) until we can get the offer because we didn't use the Disney Visa for the deposit? Wait, what? Do we need to cancel our original booking and re-book using the Disney Visa to get the offer today? :confused3

Has anyone figured out what the discount actually is? I'm heading down over the MLK weekend for 4 nights/5 days. DH,DS & I have AP's, so the room only is the only discount for us. However, my parents are joining us and they will need tickets. I thought this might be a good deal for them.

My TA sent me a quote & it doesn't seem to have any discount on the tickets/dining. The only discount is the RO. I've emailed back to her to check it, but was just hoping someone here had figured out what the discount really is.

We are looking at Pop Preferred room from 1/16-1/20 (4 nights) and 5 day hopper tickets for 2 and the standard dining plan. I calculate rack rate at $1804.52 and the quote was for $1690 which looks like just the 20% off the room rate.
