It's the coolest inside, it really is. Both my mom and I have eaten there multiple times but we couldn't get a table when we were there for my husband's first trip (pre-online reservations). Since we already had two "big" meals planned I thought another one would be too much but he's been budgeting and saving like crazy. Love that man.

Thanks for all the kind words about our traumatic flight !
All that is important, is everyone is safe and sound !
The biggest issue is my wife has been very nervous about flying and takes some mild meds to help her fly easier . She has been getting better and better the more we fly ...........but this is a big setback. Dont know if she will be up for a flight anytime soon for a DL trip ?

Also, since we were staying at GCV on DVC points , we have a dilemma that we HAVE to use the points now, so we dont lose 260 points it took to book the GCV 1 bdrm ! So, it looks like we will be taking a trip down to WDW again to use up our points (and probably driving, lol) this summer.

So its not ALL bad news ..........at least we will get back down to WDW (this will make 3 trips to WDW this year ! )
Just need to figure out where we want to stay .........it may be AKV or SSR , not sure yet !

Will be following along and living vicariously through all you DL July vacationers !

I can't wait! I will most likely be mia from this board from here on out. Ive got wedding things to finish up and disney to pack for. It was so nice to find this thread. I hope everything has a magical trip!

Got our travel documents from Disney today!! I also made reservations for our Discover the Magic tour, preordered Photopass+, and booked transport to and from airports. Can't believe how close we are. Now just to get daughter through dance team tryouts and a national pageant ...you may see her in crown and sash during our visit, either as Junior Miss Texas (or USA) Elite!

I'm glad to hear all of your family made it through that flight. I had a car accident a few years back that was traumatic. But I cannot imagine it happening in the air. I started meditating (Deepak iTunes) about a year ago and started noticing my fear of driving was much reduced. I later learned that meditation had been proven to reduce fear by actually shrinking the amygdala (fear center in the brain). I don't know if I would've believed a 10 min/day simple practice could help unless I actually felt the results for myself. Could be something your wife might want to try.
Going to wdw will help too no doubt ; )

Got a few things from the dollar tree for our trip like ponchos and toiletries that I have all packed up and I got my kiddos Visa gift cards and put part of their money on those I am a little freaked out about them because I am afraid I am going to not be able to use them at places I have also got together all my cameras/video cameras and found all their chargers and even started packing a few clothes that I have bought just for the trip and won't be wearing between now and then!! We leave in 33 days!!!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!!

33 Days - WOW, it will go very fast.. I am packed and my DD is still shopping for new outfits... I think I am going to call Uber Private Driver and have them take her shopping.

Today I got the last of the clothing we will need for the trip. The last thing to buy is the sandals for the 14 year son. He is picky and there isn't much that isn't a flip flop (that is so not happening for Disney). Crossing my fingers that we can find them in the next week.

The only other thing I can *think* of is snacks for the plane. But that will require reading all the rules of what you can and can't bring.

Some friends of ours were posting fb updates today from Magical Express, Carousel of Progress, and Be Our Guest . I just laughed in my throat (ala the Grinch) and said "Have your fun. I will not spare your poor news feed in 4 weeks from the Disneyland awesomeness which is to come! HA...HA...HAHA...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA (Maleficent laugh)"

Check out Keen, Teva, or Merrell brand sandals for him. Lots of styles to choose from and all 3 brands are known for comfort. He sounds like my nephews (ages 6-11) who refuse to wear sandals other than flip flops or athletic slides occasionally. They insist on wearing tennis shoes all summer long and it drives me crazy because I know how hot and stinky those feet are, lol.

Just read on another thread that RSR FPs are no longer disconnected! I haven't finished reading the thread yet, but apparently as of today they ARE connected. It will be interesting to see how this changes everyone's strategies at DCA. Now I'm kinda glad my trip is not until the end of July so that I have some time to hear feedback about this change.

Who is doing Walk In Walt's Footsteps while they are there?

I am thinking about doing but I am just wondering if it is really worth the $$? It's $109 but we should get a discount because we have a Disney Visa which would bring it down to $87.50 a person.

Will they be done working on Club 33 when we are there? I would like to see the inside and I know it's part of the tour but it's being updated.

We will be in the parks July 17th, 18th, 20th and 21st!

It will be interesting to see how this changes everyone's strategies at DCA. Now I'm kinda glad my trip is not until the end of July so that I have some time to hear feedback about this change.

I saw that and I'm less than thrilled but I've never had to wait too long for Soarin', never more than 30 min for California Screamin', and I have just walked on TOT many times. I wish they would have fast passes for TSMM.

I am in my car traveling

Every since RSR has had the FP's you could pull the fast pass and IMMEDIATELY get another FP it is no longer like that when you get the FP for RSR you have to wait til your window opens up or 2hrs which ever is first before you can get another FP from other rides...WOC is disconnected so you can have that FP along with others
