Now I just have eldest dd's state exams and her birthday to get through and we will be on our way. I am putting my full planning head on this week and definitely locking in some plans

I am so use to WDW, having to plan, plan and plan..

Can't get use to how laid back DLR is.. Reading O.P.P. saying you can pretty much eat anywhere you'd like at anytime except for (Dining & Shows) blows me away...

This morning was my 60 day window and I made dinner reservations for Naples in DTD and Storyteller's Café at GCH because I don't know where we want to eat.....

Midori and I love steak so Story is good.. Midori loves Spag and Meatballs but she is not fond of Veal Meatballs.. She said she will look at the menus again this week..

I said frantically this week????? I have to make reservations today.. Midori looked at me and said Dad... Chill out.. It will be ok.

That's funny... Tina, we have to meet up. I would cancel all dinner reservations just so our families could visit for a little bit..

We come in on the 12th and your last day is the 13th.. Hojo's and the Hilton are so close. Hope we can make some kind of meet up plan... Here I go again - planning, planning.

We are flying out of LGB around midday on the 13th so we will probably have to leave early but I'm good anytime on the 12th if that works for anyone visiting at that time?! We could arrange some place around Downtown Disney..

Sounds good to me... We have decided to eat at Storytellers on the evening of the 12th so I will revise the reservation time so we can meet up.

Steakhouse 55 is amazing! It's in the DLH =) And I usually get the surf and turf at Blue Bayou and it's always really good steak there too.

HI!! I basically hadn't posted anything all day and I wanted to see where my counter was We still have 70+ days but it seems to be going by pretty fast.

Sounds good to me... We have decided to eat at Storytellers on the evening of the 12th so I will revise the reservation time so we can meet up.

Ok I am at 59 days and can only book ADR's for the first two days of my trip ?? I am so a over planner since WDW has made me this way LOL ... We are going to WDW in Sept and every ADR is made now why with less then 60 days can I not get into the whole week in DL ? I can only book for Friday and Saturday and I wanted to book the Plaza Inn and it is booked for Saturday already .. So now do I have to go in everyday and book daily ? The ADR window is not like WDW where it opens for your whole trip on the first day ? I am so confused with DL !

Honestly, DL is way more laid back. For our spring break trip in early April, I was moving ressies around up until 2 days beforehand. Granted, there are some things you should reserve early, but for most, you don't.

Actually, the whole planning half a year ahead for WDW scares the heck out of me. I have very little desire to visit.

I know what you are feeling... I feel as if I will forget something.. DLR is so different..

I was ok with planning ADR's a half a year out. Kept me busy thinking about Disney... THEN when they rolled out the FP+.... we went nuts and bananas... we felt so restricted and only being able to get 3 FP a day with a 4th one just added on recently, really buggered up our way we tour Disney... We are ride. ride, ride people and we usually can cash in on 12 to 14 FP a day so we decided we will wait until all of the kinks are ironed out and also we can learn from other peoples experiences... then go back and see if we can work with it...

Thanks for giving us more info about DLR... I believe we will really enjoy this trip.....

Unfortunately a prepaid VISA won't work for me either but that was a good suggestion. It's all about having a US billing address - which I don't. I will just have to be organised and schedule a grocery run in our first couple of days.

I almost ruined our trip today. I fell down the stairs this afternoon and was afraid I broke my foot/ankle. After a trip to the ER it seems I just sprained it terribly. Its twice it's normal size right now and so, so painful. I hope beyond hope that it will heal in time and well enough for our trip. I've never sprained or broken anything so I don't know about healing time.
